Alex us studying animal care and wildlife...Hi Tina

Alex us studying animal care and wildlife conservation though I don't recall the actual name of the course. He did his foundation degree here in Suffolk where we have marshes near the coast, it's very flat, one of the dryest places in the country and full of 'old fashioned' farming and countryside, a few forests and hundreds of old churches and other buildings that little creatures call home. To do his degree in Cumbria means he is experiencing a completely different environment- I had to drill in to him that the weather is very different, not to go wandering on those hills without certain items. I made him a survival bracelet with a whistle on the advice of a friend who walks in similar landscape and got lost when then fog dropped! I brought him a waterproof and a new ruck sack with a luminous waterproof rucksack cover, we told him that hs needed to wear hardier foot wear. All the family were telling him he couldn't wander round up there without a jacket in February like he does here! I think he thought we were going overkill but within a fortnight of starting the course he'd been caught in torrential rain and admitted in a phone call if we give him advice in the future he's going to believe us! He also knows he's incredibly privileged to have an opportunity his (much) older siblings didn't get as the way grant's are done he doesn't have to pay back till he's on £25k. His Dad is a single parent and disabled so he got a full grant. He won't have as bigger debt as some due to doing foundation degree while living at home. He's met a lovely young lady who came down with him at easter to meet us. We all miss him- he worked for me as a cleaner, dog sitter and PA, he was the only person I saw apart from Mr W most weeks, I've always been close to both brothers- but know he's doing what he loves.

I'd love to show you a picture of Billy but not too sure how! He's a tired boy today as he had 3 walks yesterday, he's curled up with his head resting on my legs. I will check your page further for an email address. There are pictures of him on my Facebook but it's not a platform I often use, its just so draining!

My garden is purely there for Billys enjoyment with concessions for me in the form of bird feeders and wild flower patches. He loves to sunbathe in the summer so we have sessions of me sitting out in my chair with Billy, on the lawn, belly up to the sunshine!

Must go, Mr W home in an hour so I'm going to try to have finished the blog hopping by then!

Hugs, T xxxWheely Badhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05667393055551494088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1011417721014442767.post-7465417895385009762015-04-15T21:23:57.816+01:002015-04-15T21:23:57.816+01:00Hi T

I f you have got this die I would love to see some you have made, and also I would love to see Billy with his bandana cooling him down, how Cute!! I'm demanding aren't I. you can always say no, I won't be offended. Most of our garden is to the front of the bungalow, but Paul made an excellent job to get the back garden ready for Claire & Toby's blessing last year. When things are flowering and looking pretty I'll send you a picture, and hopefully the badger will be my slug pellet.

I will pass on your best wishes to the old married couple, thank you.

What is your baby bro doing at Uni that takes him outside? Margaret corgi owner emailed me at the weekend and said they were having snow, thank goodness he topped up with some sun before he went back to Cumbria.

Big Hugs

Tina XXTinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00247293237576060706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1011417721014442767.post-67342612137697119392015-04-15T13:37:59.650+01:002015-04-15T13:37:59.650+01:00Hi Tina

I adore your roses and have been umming and ahhing over the spellbinders create a (add name of flower here) dies. I brought some glitter texture paste too, I'm sure Sue has done a video on the grouting technique so I'm going to prep a few sheets in the colours I have.

Your Garden sounds lovely and your visitor will happily keep the slugs at bay, really pleased Brock is still saying hello. It's been beautiful here in Suffolk but Billy is not keen on the heat. I have to wet a bandana for him for round his neck. My baby brother is at uni in Cumbria, he was down here last week as it was warming up then went back up north and the weather is so bad- his degree involves being outside too so I look at the forecasts wishing the weather will improve for him.

Best wishes to Claire and her hubby for their first anniversary. The year has flown by.

Must go visit the other blogs, take care and hugs

T xxxWheely Badhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05667393055551494088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1011417721014442767.post-62898749424038598422015-04-15T00:39:23.343+01:002015-04-15T00:39:23.343+01:00Why Don't I proof read before sending. I think it is fantastic when these little/ or not so little animals decide to appear in our gardens. It's quite a privilege. How lovely to have Daddy Mummy & baby hog come to visit. That splash of colour is going to look beautiful in your garden. Magnolia trees alway's reminds me of my mum. She loved them, and to this day I still Haven't got a magnolia tree. We rescued a tree from my Daughters garden last year, and to be honest we forgot about it. It stayed out in all the winter had to throw at it and all the rain, it lived in a black bin bag. Just before Claire got married this time last year we noticed shoots, so we dug a place in the garden fed the earth and the ugly tree turned into a swan, it was beautiful, a bit oriental. This year , nothing not a tiny bit of greenery on it, and we have nurtured that B tree. So I said to that's it I'm going to have my Magnolia tree in it's place. After 36 yrs he's agreed. I'm quite a patient person. Not!

Thank you again Myra

Big Hugs

Tina XXTinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00247293237576060706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1011417721014442767.post-54360436799964225552015-04-14T23:56:38.810+01:002015-04-14T23:56:38.810+01:00Hi Rose

The only thing I find is if you leave it to air dry for too long it dries too crisp to flatten. so I leave it for about an hour and then lay my cut n boss plates on it for a few hours and it comes out lovely and flat. I thought it was our veg plot, but Paul refers to it as "he is going to do this or that ". I'm quite happy, if it goes wrong I can't be blamed. Is it marigolds you plant in between veg?or does that does encourage the pesky critters. Paul will be mortified if the badger eats everything, don't know what to do about that one, I love seeing the badger.
