Hi my Friends
Well here it is the last card for February. It's been full on, card making, cake making and special meals. Tomorrow is prawn curry for Chick & chicken curry for Paul. I've also got Vegetable spring rolls tempura prawns and poppadoms and Paul has asked for onions bhaji's as well, followed by home made fresh cream apple turnovers.
I'd like to say that I will be having a day of rest on Wednesday but I'm going to see Claire & Phoenix so I shall be popping the pain killers and rest on Thursday and maybe ask Paul to bring home a take away.
Chick's card is on the same colour pallet as Claire's, as I'd made more flowers than I could use on Claire's so decided not to waste them. I've change the background and layout, Chick liked Claire's card so much I thought I'd have another go at mixed media, hope you like it.
Here Goes!
Sorry about the lighting I can't seem to get it right in my new room.
That's it for February. Next card is for 3rd March for Evelyn. I always make a card and Claire loves that we remember her on her birthday.
See you soon

Claire's Birthday Card
Hi my Friends
I said Claire's card was going to be a bit different for me, I tried a mixed media card. I have to say it took a lot of thought and I raided loads of boxes in my craft room to find things to add to the card. I even went into the summer room and found an old crocheted doily that I cut in half and the other half in quarters. Anyway all the rummaging ended up making this card for Claire.
Just my sister's card to make for Tuesday and that's my busy February done.
I hope you are all managing to survive the Storm Dennis, He's a real fierce one. The wind is really battering against my workroom window and occasionally they creak, Take care if you are out and about.

Paul's Card
Hi My Friends
Late posting card for Paul.
I have been really busy making birthday cards, cakes special birthday meals that were asked for. Craig wanted steak with all the trimmings, Paul wanted homemade chicken pie chips & beans and Claire wants a brunch on Sunday so that by the afternoon she can get Phoenix back home for his nap. Finally it's it's Chicky's birthday ( my sister ) , so the meal for her is anything to do with fish. In between I have been making theirs b'day cards. So Wednesday if I don't go to see Phoenix I will be horizontal with a brandy & babycham on a drip. Poor little Phoenix has been really poorly with this awful cold/flu virus that has been doing the rounds. We thought he had got over it but it came back again, it really has been a nasty bug but I have enjoyed all the cuddles with him, bless him.
I hope you all came through that awful storm Ciara without too much damage. We had a tree blown over across the path from the front door to the cars but no real damage and to think we are going to have to batten down the hatches for the next storm on the way at the weekend. Watching the news about all the flooding my heart really goes out to them as for a lot of them it's a repetitive occurrence and are not getting the help they had been promised. It's the farm animals & wildlife that really upsets me the most too.
If you are doing anything for Valentines day enjoy!
Here Goes!
Hopefully I'm going to make Claire's card tomorrow & Saturday. Trying something different for me. I hope it turns out ok or I can see me working through the night to do make another card.
Take care everyone in this diabolical weather, hopefully see you soon.

Craig's Birthday Card
Hi My Friends
It has been a long while since my last comment here on my blog and I'm sorry I haven't been in contact. It has been a very busy January with many hospital visits. I have had a Nerve Conduction Study which they have found the numbness in my fingers is caused by several trapped nerves in my right elbow. They also said I have trapped nerves in my left elbow too and Osteoarthritis in both my hands. I have also had an MRI on my neck to see what is the cause of my severe neck pain and weakness back in July when my neck just hung on my chest. the day before my MRI the hospital rang and said could I go back to the Rheumatology Dept ( Nerve conduction study Dept ) for more tests the same day as MRI but an hour later. The specialist also found I had tenderness in my tummy when he pressed it, I did shout. So he arranged an Ultra sound. She did tell me there and then that I have an umbilical hernia and a weak tummy lining too. All these appointment were arranged by a Rheumatology specialist that we paid to go private before Christmas. All my test took place in January. We went back to Salisbury hospital as instructed by private specialist at 8.35am on the 17th January to get the results on all the tests. After sitting there for 30minutes I got taken into a room where we were going to hear all the results. The doctor that day treated us like a new patient and when we said we had come for results she said there was nothing on the computer and that the doctor we were meant to be seeing that day was having a few days off because it was a special birthday. To say I felt let down and really angry I just can't put into words. I have since had an appointment back from Rheumatology to go and see them on the 12th March. I rang my doctor to see if he had any results of all my tests and the receptionist said it's all in letter form to the doctor and that she couldn't tell me over the phone so I asked if I could make an appointment and the earliest is a phone appointment on the15th February. I feel totally let down by the private doctor and the NHS. Does anyone know what else to do? In between all those appointment I have damaged my knee badly to the point I can't put any weight on it for a while when I stand up and I am now walking with a limp. Paul made me go to the doctors only to be told it's wear & tear, she gave me a useless tube of Ibuprofen cream and opened the door for me to limp out. I have never been to the doctors & hospital so much, and have left in so much pain and feeling totally stupid and for making me feel I'm just wasting their time.
Anyway enough moaning.
It's my Son's birthday today and you all know how much we dislike making man cards but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed making this one, it was really quick too. I also made him a magic wallet for his birthday money. I've got him some little items but we give the children money unless they specifically know what they want. I was really chuffed with the wallet, I think it might be worn out before he actually gets to see it, I find it fascinating.
Right Here Goes!!
Well that's it! The next card is for Paul on the 11th Feb, then Claire's card on the 16th and finally my sister's card on the 18th Feb. So hopefully I will see you back here soon.
Take care everyone.
