Espresso Yourself

Good Tuesday morning everyone, to my regular blog friends and to people who quietly pass through, all are more than welcome.

How fast is that big day looming and only 24hrs in the day to get ready for it. Thank you Hazel I did enjoy the email you sent and the last hymn is one of my favouites. Also congratulations on your win at the weekend.

Products used :-

8x8 White card
Silver Mirri card
Creative Expressions foundation-Black card
Foundations -White card
Sue Wilson EF- Celtic Flower
Creative Expressions- Espresso background stamp
Creative Expressions- Silver embossing powder
Spellbinders basic dies

I started with an 8x8 card and matt and layered with silver mirri card and an embossed layer using Sue's Celtic flower EF. I then cut 3 panels of black foundation card and stamped with perfect medium with 3 different images from the CE back ground stamp and heat embossed them with CE embossing powder, then layered with silver mirri card, and attached sticky pads for dimention and attached to the card in equal spaces. For the focal I stamped Espresso Yourself stamp and heat embossed with silver embossing powder and cut it out with Spellbinders basic B die cuts and while still in the die lightly coloured edges with Tim Holtz black soot distressing ink, put sticky pads on the reverse and attached in the centre of the 3 panels. I stamped 5 coffee beans and cut them out with SW Carmelia dies, tied a bow with ribbon from my stash, added a gem to the middle and to the corners of the focal point.

I hope you like it!

On Friday I will be posting a Tina card, for a special lady on my blog . I really hope she likes it when it arrives.

  1. Good morning Tina, well done you for coming up with this great design to go with those stamps. It shows what talent you have. Me I would have taken one look at them and put them away, never to be used I am sure. Looking forward to Friday and that Tina card. Hazel xx

  4. Hi Tina
How do you do it talk about making a silk purse out of a pigs ear! This card is stunning you really have risen to the challenge and no mistake if it had been be I would have thrown in the towel long ago really I would. Congratulations on yet another fantastic card, so looking forward to seeing your next Tina card.
Do hope Claire is making some progress with her appointment it really is time they got things sorted and no mistake, to think they say the NHS is getting better! Please give her my love.

    1. Very early good morning Margaret

I Think, hope people will like next months stamps more, but thank you so much for sticking in there and giving me such encouragement. I can tell people are not enjoying my cards at the moment as the number of messages show. The next lot of stamps are cute and I have put a little bit of humor into them with a little return to my cards ( no butterflies though ). They are scheduled for January. But I am enjoying the challenge, and hope that some where down the line we might get some flowers in the spring. ( Stamps )

Claire has an MRI scan later today and I am really hoping they get it sorted once and for all and 2015 can be a pain free year for her, and I can stop adding to my ever sprouting grey hairs. joking aside, if they don't find anything it will be time to go private. Claire has been reluctant to go private in case they found anything and she needed to take off school at this busy time, I'm sure your daughter is the same, but I feel Claire is a ticking time bomb at the moment and we are just waiting for the next explosion, and as the doctor said every episode will get worse. Fingers, toes and anything else we can cross, we get something sorted today.
      Thank you again Margaret

  5. Hi Tina

Must confess I was just doing a little blog surfing and didn't expect to arrive here, but I did and I have to say that you have changed my opinion of this stamp! I do buy stamps 'I like' rather than thinking about what gaps I have in my stash. When I fist saw this I chuckled at the sentiment but thought "what would I do with it?". I suppose I'm a bit lazy and want the biggest effect for the least amount of effort. I'm also a fussy ******, I either like realism or the dead opposite, nothing twee, nothing too girlie, nothing too plain and I guess I just dismissed the graphic. Seeing your card, ideas have just started to pop- for brother, for Mr W, for bestie #1. Only the best DTs can do that to me, turn a rather plain stamp into something that shouts "use me!!!"

I wish I had more "spoons" to be honest... hardly blogged at all trying to get ready for Christmas. I will see if I can set up one of them email alert things like I get for Sue and Julia to remind me to stop in more.

    Merry Christmas

Absolutely stunning Tina, love what you have created using that stamp. Certainly did not inspire me, none of them did.
Takes talent and great inspiration for using them and you have it in bucket loads.
Hope Claire gets things sorted out, it has been a long hard struggle.
