A Very Heart Warming Happy New Year To You All.
Well what a manic celebratory week that was. So much work, cooking, preparations, decorations entertaining, drinking- Hik! excuse me. How lovely! I hope you all enjoyed seeing 2016 in whether it was full on or slightly more gentle. It really doesn't matter, as long as you had a good time. Mine was different to any other year. Paul said he would light a fire in the Summerhouse and we'll have drinks and nibbles out there. At the time I had been emerged in doing my nieces wedding Invites all day, but said I would be out soon. At 10pm I took a drinks out to see the New Year in with Paul. Only to find that he had celebrated the New Year prematurely. He then went to bed, so I went back in my workroom and carried on doing my nieces invites until I looked at the clock at around 3.30am, I did toast myself at midnight when I heard the fireworks that were set off in the village . Invites still not finished. Hey Ho!
What is it with rustic, shabby chic invitations, they're ok, but I want to do sparkle and pretty, or is that just me!
We had a lovely Christmas day with Craig, quiet, as he didn't have Claire to banter with. I felt really sorry for him as they are so close, and I know he missed her. Luckily we all got together on boxing day and had a lovely meal and lots of festive food throughout the evening, and played games and lots of laughs. I have to say our lives are about to change big time . listening to Claire and Toby when our Granddaughter comes along. Maybe next year not having a Christmas at home, and having to share it with the lovely inlaws at Claire's home, I really mean that, they're fab fun! I don't like change, but I must learn to accept it.
This weeks make is a bit different for me too, but I just loved this stamp and die. such a pretty card to decorate.

Hi Tina
ReplyDeleteI used to love new year when i was younger , parties , drinks and games i kept up with everyone else , however now i am older i would rather stop in .
We had a lovely quiet night my Hubby and i , i was serfing the net { get me with this word ,haha picked it up off my Grandson } and John was watching rubbish on the TV , we toasted in the new year then went to bed .
Your card has just blown me away, Wow ! how gorgeous .
I always pin your work onto my Pinterest board under certain themes eg All things i like, butterflies , Pink cards etc , however you deserve to have your own board TINA ELDRIDGE your work is outstanding , I will get onto it as soon as i have time .
Hope Claire is feeling better.
Take Care

Hi Elaine
DeleteI'm with you Elaine on the party front. I used to be the last one standing at a party, but I have to now I'm quite happy to listen about the parties rather than be at one. If it wasn't for the fact that our house has become a storage unit, we would have asked a few people over to celebrate, but there are times things don't work out, Hey Ho!
Hark at you Surfing the net, get you!. I love it. I try to do the same and when I buy things they ask for my password, WHAT PASSWORD and it gets to much for a simpleton like me.
Thank you for pinning my work, it's so flattering. I feel so stupid as pinning has passed me by. I know there are a few ladies here that pin their own work and I can't for the life of me remember how to get into it. It's not for want of trying, as I would love to look at their work. You do me a great honor, Thank you!
Claire is in a lot of pain again. The pain in her lower back and leg did subside, but it's back with a vengeance. Just under 9 weeks to go, poor little love!, but she is managing very well. Thank you Elaine.

Hello Tina,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I looked at this and immediately thought Cinderella! It does look like a glass slipper only decorated with beautiful flowers! I, not sure what size it is but it looks quite a sizeable die and stamp. What a lovely idea! I can think of two granddaughters who would love this.
We had a quiet New Year too - just the two of us! After a busy Christmas it was just as well, I think!
What a lovely project to begin your crafting year , Tina, thank you!
Love Myra xxx
Hi Myra
DeleteHappy New Year To you Too!
The size of the die is. 61/4"width x 4" Height. It's tiddy but cute, and Cinderella came to mind too, and I think your granddaughters would love it. No, Thank You Myra for visiting my blog each week X

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteLove the decorated shoe albeit my shoe mania is no longer. These days I go for comfortable (also saves lots of money which then gets spent on dies :-) ).
Your flowers, as usual, are superb.
Hugs, Rose
Hi Rose
DeleteI thought it was just me with the shoes. Oh how I would love to still buy shoes like this.Flats for me too, or semi flats.
Thank you Rose, and I will talk to you soon.X
Hi Tina, oh wow this is gorgeous, I have ordered the die and stamp but have got to wait for the shipment to arrive, should be end of next week, then I can have a play, yours is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGlad that you had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Mine was not so good as I have been in constant pain with my knee for nearly 4 weeks now, saw dr again this morning and he sent me up for an xray, got to wait 10 days for the results, which I could afford to go private but I am only a pensioner now. Still hey ho there are lots of people out there worse off then me.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Hi June
DeleteThank you, it's such a lovely die and stamp to use. When you see it stamped embossed and cut, it's just so lovely to work on.
I'm really sorry you have been in pain with your knee, I hope after the x ray they can sort this out. I have been suffering with crumbling knee caps since I was in my early 40's. Everytime I climbed the stairs Paul said " have you got a packet of Walkers tucked in your knickers, scrunching away. When I went to the doctor's they told me to exercise more and take up cycling again. So I got my bike out and Paul and I went over the forest for a short ride, next day I couldn't walk. I kept it up for a few weeks but was in more pain, so I gave it up. Mt knees also hurt after a trip to the wholesalers pulling that stupid trolley. I HATE GETTING OLDER!, but I agree there are people in a worse condition. ( whispering this, even though it hurts like hell sometimes ).
Big Gentle Hugs June

Hi Tina
DeleteWell, I'm not ashamed to say I actually let out a squeal when I saw this! Wow just doesn't do it justice! Absolutely gorgeous is what it is, perfect for princesses of all ages, brides, proms, party invites... and those flowers and the butterflies just send it into orbit.
I know of no one who makes cards like you and this design has certainly inspired everyone here! Think I'll be adding this stamp and die to my arsenal too. Heartfelt should be thanking you for the extra sales!
Your new year sounded a bit like mine, in that come 11pm I was the only one awake. Sorry Claire is in pain again, she must feel so gutted it came back. I hope it doesn't spoil her enjoying the lead up to the birth. Did you say 6 weeks to go? How exciting for you all!
Seeing Alex tomorrow before he goes back up to uni, did see him on 27/12 but all that bit of the family were there too so we couldn't chat much about how things are going for him. Not much else to report as my body is having a bit of a rebellion at the moment, less said about that the better lol.
Billy sends waggy tails, cuddles and kisses toy you & I send hugs to all of you. Pinning card as I want everyone to see it!

Wow, oh Wow Tina I thought this was a wedding shoe that you had decorated. It stunning. So glad you had a wonderful Christmas and NewYear. Oh yes big changes afoot for your household when baby appears. Hazel X
ReplyDeleteHi Hazel
DeleteI was going to do this as a wedding ornament that you give the bride, but decided to do a multi colour shoe instead. I might still do her one for April 23rd when she gets married. I made a card for her wedding next week on my blog, but not too sure? I might do something else.
Bring on the changes, I have waited a long time for this to happen.

I can no longer wear those pretty heels but I still LOVE them. Purchased this set with thoughts of my four granddaughters. I too love sparkle and pretty for wedding cards and invites!
ReplyDeleteHubby and I stayed up until 3:00 am with hopes of seeing the Northern Lights on New Years, but no such luck . . . Had fun anyway. Wishing you a fabulous 2016 from Oregon!!

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteOoooooooooohhhhh what a pretty shoe, reminds me of the panto we took the grandchildren to on Christmas Eve,only your shoe is so much prettier than Cinderella's.
Glad to hear that you had a good Christmas and spent New year's much the same as us.
Such a shame that Claire is suffering again, let's hope is doesn't put her off repeating the task again, it's so lovely having more than one little monkey to spoil.
Have a lovely rest of the week
Hugs Angela ~ xx
Hi Angela
DeleteSuch A pretty stamp & die It is very much like a panto shoe, and just as much fun to decorate.
I'm sure it's like all of us. We forget the pain until we are having another baby and think, WHAT HAVE I DONE! again, but it's all worth it in the end, and I love Monkeys.

It's a struggle somedays but i just get on with it as best I can. I'm going stir crazy at home as u get bored but if I do too much I tire myself out. Go to make cards but then can't be bothered somedays with that either. I miss my work colleagues but not the work or hassle that goes with it lol.
DeleteTracy, I can't imagine for one moment what you are going through, or selfishly would not want to. I know Anthea ( Claire's bridesmaid ) was also very tired after her treatment, but she is doing really well now. She also missed her work mates, and her boss used to let her go in and do as much as she wanted to do, just to part of her team again.
DeleteThinking of you.

ReplyDeleteHello Tina,
ReplyDeleteWhoa, you've got the New Year off to a belter with this fantastic card. It's absolutely beautiful and the flowers, butterflies, colour scheme are - as usual - stunning. The baby's breath looks so real.
I'm sorry that Claire is having more pain, and hope that she gets relief soon.
I'm like you, I love Christmas, it's such a lovely family time although my brother was missing this year, but New Year is not my favourite time. Having said that, this year - for the first time in years - we were actually up and at a party when New Year came in. Mind you, the party comprised of children aged from 5 to 12 and three middle aged couples, and one very old couple (us)!!! We lasted until 2 pm, which amazed my daughter as we normally leave her house at 11.30 pm.
Thanks, Tina for all your hard work.
Maureen xxx
Hi Maureen
DeleteThank you, I'm so pleased you like the card this week. I'm really trying to step out of my comfort zone but finding it difficult, but when this stamp & die arrived I thought this is just a fun little card to make for all the ladies in the family.
Claire rang the doctors today,as she was in so much pain again, and was told the doctor will ring her back soon. She rang them this morning while at school and by 5.30pm while traveling home from work the doctor had still not rung her. I was fuming. I told her to drive straight to the surgery, but as yet have not heard anything ( 11.15 pm ). do they not think we worry too.
You Go girl, you dirty stop out. 2 in the morning is such a good time to be leaving a party, Well done you, you showed those younger ones.
Thank you for visiting my blog every week, I have the best bit, of doing something that I love and having lovely people like you visit me here. Thank you.

Wow Tina what a great way to start the New Year, this is stunning - who would not love to receive a card like this, one to treasure I think. Thank you so much for sharing you ideas You really are one talented lady!!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that Claire is in pain again, it really spoils what should be an exciting time for her. I do hope that the doctor has been able to give her something to help, what we go through to have babies but worth it at the end, though that will be no comfort to Claire at the moment.

Hi Wendy
DeleteWhat a lovely message to leave, Thank you so much Wendy.
I have just worked out if Claire is on time she has 7wks & 5 days to go, not that I'm counting, I'm just hoping she can get some relief in between times. I just hope it won't put her off going through it again. Thank you for thinking of her.

Hi Tina.....ooooo this is gorgeous! What a fabulous die and stamp! I know my sister in law would love a card like this, she's absolutely nutty about shoes! I can't blame her as there are some gorgeous one's about. I don't think I could wear anything as high as the one's they have now though. The one's in the mid 70's were wedges...(don't know we walked in them! lol!) and one's in the early 80's were a fine 4 inch height wise....which was good at the time as I was only 5ft 4! lol! An absolutely stunning card Tina, thank you x I do hope Claire isn't going through as much pain and that the doctor has given her something for it. Take care all of you xx Love Karen xx
ReplyDeleteHi Karen
DeleteOh Karen, Those wedges were a killer for me, my legs were so skinny I looked like Minnie Mouse, but I still wore them, and probably looked ridiculous. The things we did for fashion. shoes nowadays are so pretty.
Really pleased you liked this weeks card, and thank you for leaving me such a lovely message Karen.
Thank you for thinking of my little Claire bear X
