Fantastic News

 Hi Blog Friends

Just had to let you all know our Grandson arrived safely yesterday, albeit early. Claire had been booked in for Monday 13th Nov to be induced at 38 weeks. I saw her on Monday and my goodness he must have had a growing spurt over the weekend Claire was HUGE!. She said we are on count down now mum, 7 day's to go.

I told her to go and sit down and I'd make her and the workers lunch. She asked if I would make her a bacon, cheese with my homemade pickle in a roll and on the 3 bite Claire said look at my tummy. Bean as I new him then was moving so much, I laughed and said he likes my pickle. Claire said whenever she ate sweet things he always seems to move a lot.

I had a phone call yesterday about 3 ish, she said don't panic mum I'm ok but my waters broke about 2.20pm and that she was on her way to hospital to be monitored. She went into full labour and he was born at 6.20pm, 4 hours later. He weighs in at 7lb, born 7th Nov 2017 and his name is Phoenix Evan Ward. We love the name because of the meaning behind it. We managed to see him for just 5 mins last night and he is absolutely stunning. We can't go in again until tonight as I have a hospital appointment, so I'm hoping to have some cuddles and photo's then. If Claire will allow it I'll ask if I can put a photo of him here either tonight or tomorrow. If not please don't be offended, I have a feeling this little man is going to be very protected.

I can only say A big Thank You to you all for all your prayers and kindness for the safe arrival of our very special 2nd Grandchild. I wish I could thank you all in person, SuzzieQ that would be quite a trip wouldn't it.

Thank you so much again, Lots of Love & Hugs

  1. Oh how wonderful for you all. I have been watching you and Claire waiting for this news. Phoenix shares his birthday with my other half, I hope he grows up to be just like him. Such happy news! I have never met you or Claire but I feel as though you are members of my family, I couldnt be happier if it was one of my own. Sending love to you all, especially Phoenix.

    1. Thank you Hazel. I enjoyed every single cuddle, I was sad I had to hand him over to Paul. If you could have seen the facial expressions on Paul's face everytime Phoenix moved I wished I'd video'd it.

I saw a consultant and she said they thought I have a Haematoma so now waiting for an appointment. I was told in no uncertain terms to stop lifting things and listen to my body, it says ouch for a reason. Then on the other hand she said try and do normal things to like driving walking housework. When I do all these the inevitable happens, so lets just wait for the scan. Talk about fed up! Only with me that is.

I'll talk soon Hazel, say Hi to Charlie and Harris too

      Love & Hugs

    1. Thank You Patricia, We are all pretty high at the moment and funnily enough Christmas came up on the drive home. I didn't tell Paul that I ordered another stunning reindeer to go in Evelyn's Garden. One is a very elegant stag and the new one is a doe feeding, special baubles for Evelyn & Phoenix, the list goes on now I know the little mans name.

So your little men are not so little anymore, how lovely still to get BIG hugs.

I just wrote to Hazel about the hospital, if you don't come back to read this Hazel will let you know, and thank you for thinking of me.

      Hugs to you too

  4. Hello Tina,
How wonderful and what a magical time you will have this Christmas. All the family will be on cloud 9 and will cherish every moment with Phoenix.
I hope the hospital finally solves your problems as that would be the icing on the cake. I think another Decade needs to be said, so that will be done for you.
    Take care and God Bless.

    1. Hello Maureen

Thank you, I think Christmas is going to be magical too. I really can't put into words what should have been last year & magically how it is going to be this year.

When I saw Phoenix Last night he was Evelyn's double, the same shaped mouth and a cute button nose and the tinniest little ears. He's equally as beautiful as his big sister.

Thank you again Maureen, God bless you too.

Still not given up hope of posting a photo. Watch this space. Thank you Wendy, and so pleased you like his name. I think it will be very hard not to spoil this little bundle, and I agree that's my job.

Waiting for a scan at the hospital. They think I had/have a haematoma. They just said I'm just unlucky and taking longer to get over my op. Cop out really, but what can you say.

So pleased he is doing well and Claire too.please give her my love! I’m absolutely thrilled for for you all! As has been said by others Christmas will be wonderful this year! We just need you , my dear, to be fully fit again!

    1. Hi Cows tail

It doesn't matter how late you arrive you make a most welcome entrance, as you know.

I will pass on your love to Claire & Phoenix quite gladly.X Christmas is going to be totally different to last year. We tried so hard to celebrate Evelyn last Christmas and it was so hard. This year we can celebrate all the extraordinary things that have been achieved in Evelyn's memory and we can now tell her little brother what a very special sister he has and teach him to be as proud of her as we are.

How inconsiderate for Phoenix not to wait until the 8th. I had no idea it was your birthday. I read you were meeting up with Maureen but didn't realise why, Sorry. Was it Maureen's birthday too. If so that makes me doubly thick!!

Glad you had a lovely day in Marlowe.

Watching 3 hedgehogs in the garden, they're avoiding each other and running back to the hedgehog houses Paul built, they are so pretty.

      Speak soon

    1. Hi Jane & Henk

Thank you Jane. Claire was a super woman,4 hours labour. I can't put into words how I feel it's so mixed, but I know he's a very special gift that we will treasure and spoil.

Glad you like his name too, it's different! but love the reason why.

I'll be fine, I just need to get the scan out of the way, finally find out what is causing my set back and get it sorted. I feel fine in myself but just can't drive, or do too much walking yet, but I am getting there.

Hope you enjoyed your holiday, did you meet any of your friends that lived in Spain?

Take care & will talk soon, I've got my voice back now.
