Hello Friends

Hi my friends

I hope you all had a lovely Easter, maybe spent time with the family or just found time to craft as the weather was not as good as previous Easter holidays.

Yesterday we had Craig, Pia, Claire Toby Phoenix & Evie Bear over for dinner. It was a lovely day and enjoyed lots of cuddles. Since my last blog saying I had the dreaded lurgie, the secondary infections were worse than the actual cold/flu. Claire and I had dreadful neuralgia affecting our ears head and neck. Poor little Phoenix also caught it and he'd just had his jabs and the meningitis one too but soldiered through it bless him. On Saturday Paul was going to cancel Easter Sunday but I said no! So I dosed up with pain meds and we managed to get through the day relatively pain free. Woke up today and touch wood only minimal pain now, long may it continue.

Because of the infection I really couldn't do anymore to the cards for Evelyn & Phoenix and they are missing the flowers I'd had in mind to do with foamiran, so I quickly made the 3d hare and rabbit to hold some money for a toy for Phoenix & something for Evelyn's garden at the crematorium or for her garden at home to go in the card. Claire loved the cards and the little animal too, so all turned out well.

I'm looking after Phoenix tomorrow while Claire & Toby are going out for lunch together. If I have as much fun with him as I had yesterday we are going to have a fab time.

Because Toby is on holiday before he starts his new job, I said I would only go over if they needed me so I am hoping to get in my sanctuary and use my foamiran and make some roses and attach them to cards.

Thank you for taking the time out to return to my blog as I know they have been few & far between. I must try harder!

OH excuse the kitchen roll and the untidy look of the room, and I didn't even get the little studio out. I'm not always this sloppy!!

Here goes!

Hope you like what you see.

Look forward to seeing you all again.

Sending love & hugs

  1. Hello Tina,
How lovely to see you. The cards and 3D animals are so beautiful and gracious, who's looking at anything else. Sorry to read about the lurgie, so many people have had it but you seem to be on the turn now and it would have been glorious to have all your family around you yesterday.
Now remember, when Phoenix is with you tomorrow take plenty of photographs, have as many kisses and cuddles as you can, and enjoy every second.
    lots of love

    1. Hi Maureen

I've cleared my memory in the camera for lots of piccies and the bread & butter is ready as he's so edibubble, can you tell I'm really looking forward to my day with Phoenix & of course Evie Bear cuddles when Phoenix has a snooze.

Thank you, and for excusing my messy room.

      Lots of love

  2. Morning Tina, oh it is lovely to hear from you again, sorry about the dreaded lurgy but hopefully you are on the mend now. What a lovely Easter it was for you on Sunday and lots of cuddles too, what could be better.

I don't even look at the room so don't worry about that, yu should see mine, no I won't show you, but to me crafting is such a versatile art that there are more and more things that we just have to have, ha ha.

The 2 cards are so beautiful, amazing keepsakes too, love the little hares with the gifts in too.

Enjoy your lovely play today with Phoenix, these are joyous occasions to treasure as they grow up so quickly.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

    1. Hi June

We're all getting over this awful bug and most definitely on the mend. We were all concerned when Phoenix went down with it but he managed it very well, even with smiles.

Glad you liked my makes this time, I really was wondering if I should have shown them as for me they were quite bare, but as I said Claire loved them.

I had a brilliant day with Phoenix, although he slept a lot we just had snuggles.

Thank you for being here for me June X

  3. Hi beautiful. I'm so sorry I didn't reply to you I've been like you, under the weather thanks to my new infusion but life throws us these curve balls we just have to take it (that's why WE have the babies) lol 😉 we as women have so many masks and I think we've used all of ours and it's only April lol.
I love your cards and animals. But I'd love to see these form wotsit flowers when you feel up to playing, I've heard of it and that's as far as it goes so I'm intrigued. Our poppet is into Peppa Pig and Peter Rabbit so her Easter gifts and egg revolved round her favourites and we had our 'shy' love and cuddles Saturday, good job as they were snowed in Sunday. I adore the thought of a personal Evelyn garden at home and giving her money for mummy and daddy to spend for her. You asked about the blog ? It's so sad and yes Sue is quite upset but is really hoping all those that left for whatever reason will start to come back (what do you think)? Will we see you again sometime I really hope so. Thanks for sharing your beautiful shaker cards for your two munchkins and I send you all my love and hugs (from a distance though as my throat is red raw and burning) and you've had your fair share of bugs me thinks xxxxx 💖

    1. P.S. Just enlarged your beautiful photographs and I think you're getting low on cardstock love lol do you have every single colour that CE produce lol. How wonderful to have all that choice. Happy crafting and a happier day with Evie bear and Phoenix xxx

    2. Hi Boss

I really left you alone to get over the infusion as I know it wipes you out but I knew you would be in touch one way or another when you felt a bit stronger. What a bummer to have gone down with this awful bug too. Stop being so bl--dy greedy just have one thing at a time. Seriously though I hope you start to feel stronger soon.X

I'm with your poppet with Peter Rabbit but will have to look into Peppa Pig ( not a pretty Cartoon figure). Luckily little ones don't look at things like that.

How lucky were you to get get cuddles Saturday instead of snowed in Sunday.

I wish I did have all the colours from CE but sadly not. A lot of them are from other little craft sites and from Kanban when I first started to craft. I really should look at the old stock up the other end of my desk instead of using whats in front of me, and I wish it wasn't so heavy to post as I would send you loads.

I had a fab day with Phoenix & Evie Bear. When Phoenix slept I had cuddles with Evie Bear, win win XX.

      Speak to you soon Boss
Sending you Love & Hugs and really hope you feel better soon XX

    1. Hi SuzzieQ

Every time I do a blog I love it and think I really must try harder to do it more often. I'm really pleased you liked the hare & fox and was surprised to see that when I looked at the dies they were from Creative Expressions in their Papercuts Craft dies set.

Hope to be back soon, and Thank you for your blessings too.

      Love & Hugs

    4. Hi Mavis

I hope everything went well with your daughter, I have been thinking about her all week. I expect she is looking forward to getting home and rest in her own surroundings. It's really good that her husband will be there to look after her and take over entertaining the girls. You need to get home put your feet up and recouperate.

I'll email you in a few days when you've got your breath back.

      Sending love & hugs

    1. Hi Myra

Technology can't live it and can't live without it. It's just lovely that you got here.

I had an absolutely lovely day with Phoenix. It was a bit daunting being the first time totally responsible for him in his home too so nothing was familiar to me, but we had lots of chats loads of chuckles a couple of feeds and plenty of Zzzzzzzz. So good time all round and look forward to doing it again, soon I hope!

      Hope you are well
