So Angry

Hi everyone

Latest update on Claire and appendicitis. The surgeon came to see Claire this afternoon just before we arrived. She was in Claire's words " very arrogant". She told Claire that they will not operate as she is not in enough pain, " I ask you ". Claire is doped with morphine of course she not rolling around in pain, but she can't move, cough or walk without bending over. The drugs trolley came around just before we left and Claire refused any pain relief, she said if they want to see the true pain of appendicitis then they will hear me shortly. We have have come home for a while so that she can have time with her new husband, but we are on standby to go back soon, and I don't give flying fig about visiting times. While I was there I spoke to a couple of doctors that had read her notes from A&E that it was definitely Appendicitis. When Claire had her scan they could'nt even find her appendix and said they were hidden at the back of her intestines, so therefore they could'nt say definitively if they were infected, so why the hell has she not been given  other tests before they send her home tomorrow. Which is what the surgeon said they would do. ( NOT ENOUGH PAIN YOU'RE OUT )   NHS  What a joke.  Sorry but I am soo angry.

Sorry. Kind regards

  1. Tina no wonder you are angry, poor Claire having to take such a drastic step to get help. Brave girl you have there to stand up to them. I know Richard my boss has terrible trouble with surgeons. If Claire had been seeing that one privately she would have had her op. You most be so worried??? But you can rant all you like to me I have big shoulders and remember talking is good for you, bottling it is very bad. ((((((Hugs)))))) Hazel x

  2. Good grief Tina! No wonder you are angry and rightly so! An animal would get bet treatment than Claire is having....it is utterly diabolical! So now Claire has to prove how much pain she is in by refusing her medication...that is so unreal in this day and age! I really don't know what the NHS is coming to. I hope Claire doesn't have to suffer too long before they get off their butts and do something to help her.
Keeping my fingers crossed that they do something to help Claire very soon.....she is so very brave .
We are here for you Tina as Hazel said it's good to talk and get it off your chest.
Big hugs to you and gentle ones for Claire...will pop in tomorrow to see if there is any news.

  3. OMG!!! Tina, this is shocking, poor Clair. You have every right to be angry. The NHS did similar with our son quite a few years ago. Sent him home, he then ended up being "blue lighted" into hospital and was on the operating table before I arrived after parking my car. I had followed the ambulance in.
We tottaly ignored "visiting times" we told them we would visit when we wanted concidering they treated John "how they wanted" that's why he ended up having an emergency operation!!!!
As Hazel has said its "good to talk" it really dose help
    Hugs a plenty

  4. Hi Tina
So sorry to hear what a torrid time you are having and that poor Claire is suffering so.
Have had my own issues with the NHS and with my late Mum being misdiagnosed so you have my sympathy.
I hope that things are further forward today or I think you may need to take things higher. They think people will just accept what they're told just because they're doctors.
Here's to Claire feeling better and getting some decent treatment.
    Best wishes

  5. Oh Tina this is shocking, but indicative of the NHS, as the government is trying to privatise it, puting now money in to support the system.
That doesn't help you or Claire though. I'm with Ang on this one demand to see someone higher up the pecking order. I know what the painis like as mime was ready to burst, I'd never experienced such pain in my life. I hope Claire gets attention soon, sending hugs and kind thoughts to her and you, Kate x
