Good Tuesday morning everyone.
Thank you all for visiting my blog, and I hope you all had a lovely weekend and that your week ahead will be a good one.
This will be my last card with summer flowers, next week will be the start of Creative Expressions Christmas cards. I think it is just for July. Hope you will all stick with me as I know a lot of people don't like to think about Christmas till later in the year.
I have to tell you that I forgot to put the sparkles on the butterflies, so I added another photo at the of this posting.
Here goes June, bring on Christmas!!.
Sorry, this is the last photo, I remembered to add sparkle to the butterfly. Whoops!!
hope you like this one too. Merry Christmas July.

ReplyDeleteHi Jane
DeleteOf course I made it for you. Thank you for your lovely comment. I have a few ideas for the Christmas cards, I have cut a few dies but as yet not put anything together. I'll get my head down after tomorrow.
We are having a very hot day today. I have my ceiling fan on and a table top one going at full speed. It's 25degs here, I really don't know how you manage up in the thirty's and higher.
Talk soon Jane

Yet another wonder of Tina card and no mistake, lovely colours, die cuts and those fantastic butterflies along with that elegant bow really all add up to a wonderful and very elegant card. This card definitely has brought some brightness to us up here, as while you may be having wonderful sunshine, here it is very dull and overcast believe it or not.
ReplyDeleteMargaret xxx
Hi Margaret
DeleteThank you Margaret for a lovely comment, glad to help out with the brightness, I can't believe you have got up yet again to another dull day. I have to keep an eye on the weather forecast in the lakes as Paul wants to go up there in the next 2 weeks. Other than not having kind weather, I hope you are keeping well and feeling a bit stronger. It was lovely talking to you the other week.
Talk soon, take care

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card, what intrigues me is the glitter not to the butterflies but there seems to be something sparkly going at the bottom layer of the focal element. What did you do there?
I don't really want to think about Christmas yet nor will I start my Xmas cards, certainly not in earnest - but it could be good to know what you've come up with the new goodies. I've bought the mini background (that one was such a lovely surprise as it has several elements making it so versatile and easy to use and the detail is fantastic), the snowflake border and two of the mini striplets (3 wise men and poinsettias). And you never know, I might win another die so I'm holding back for now (but I know there'll be others to add to that collection :-)
Hope you and yours are well and enjoying life. Not looking forward to the high temps but hey, we have to take the weather as it comes.
Hugs, Rose
Hi Rose
DeleteI'm sorry I thought I had put that the sparkly bits were Mica Flakes. My goodness Rose I just looked again and I didn't even write how I made the card, what a slacker. My head is still all over the place, get tomorrow over with and I hope I will be back to normal. What ever that is!
My word Rose you have had a spending spree, good for you. I'm afraid I have also bought a few of Sue's new festive die's too. I think this is best festive die set so far. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to win a die set.
I know I shouldn't moan, but BOY am I hot, I have had the ceiling fan and a table top fan going but I gave in and went and got the air con.
Hope you are well Rose

Hello Tina,
ReplyDeleteThis is another beautiful card you've made for us. I noticed the sparkle as well, Rose. It just peeps through and is so efffective. After seeing these gorgeous pom pom type flowers, I had to order the die and it came yesterday, oh I can't stop cutting felt, paper, ribbon and it's fabulous.
Looking forward to seeing your Christmas offerings. I started so well in January making some, my idea was a few each month and then come November I'll not be at it night and day. I'm ashamed to say that January and February went well, and then I forgot about it somehow!!! lol.

Hi Maureen
DeleteThank you Maureen, I can be such a plonker sometimes, I not only forgot to say the sparkle is mica flakes and I also forgot to put how to make the card, double Whoops!!. I'm really pleased you got that die and sounds like you are having so much fun with it too. My word Maureen, that's dedication to making Christmas cards so soon after the big event. I take my hat off to you, even though you waned a bit in March.

Hi Tina. WOW !! This is a gorgeous card !! I love the way you have mixed and matched Sue's amazing dies to create a stunning focal point. I have the Caribbean dies but not the Portugugese ones - yet !! I was wondering what you have used behind the largest die. Is it gilding flakes or texture sparkle paste maybe ? Whatever it is it has produced such a lovely effect. I do love your Foldover Flowers to. This die was high on my wish list until Sue Wilson released her Wondeful New Christmas Dies !! I just could not resist and finally gave in last night and bought a couple !! I am so pleased that you are going to be making some of your gorgeous cards using her new dies. I love the colours you have used for your card Tina. I think it is a lovely summery card that anyone would be so delighted to receive. I love your cute little Butterflies to. Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope you don't mind but I am going to pop back and leave a comment on your previous card as I cannot remember if I did or not !! (sorry my memory is dreadful these days !!) I am looking forward to seeing what cards you make next. Take care Tina. Lots of love from Tres x x x
ReplyDeleteHi Tres
DeleteThank you for the wow Tres and for your lovely comment. The sparkle behind the large die is gold mica flakes, I forgot to put them on my product list. I also forgot to do the write up on how to make this card So you are not the only one with a bad memory.
Well done you for giving in and buying some of Sue's dies, aren't they lovely.
Take care Tres

The CE DT were not lucky enough to get Sue's new dies, we have been given last years dies.
Hi Tina
ReplyDeleteWell, what a difference colour makes... the gold is gorgeous and the card no longer looks like the Great Barrier Reef! It is certainly opulent with many elements to catch your eye.
I particularly like the embossing folder and wish these more beautiful ones were available in 150mm x 150mm. Perhaps you could ask the important people to make some for those of us who don't have an A4 die cutter! :)
The butterflies are very pretty and add a touch of whimsy.
All in all, a card anyone would be pleased to receive.
Thanks
Jan from NSW (Aus)
Hi Jan
DeleteThank you for your lovely comment Jan.
I will have a word with Tracey Laughton at Creative Expression about you request. I'm surprised they don't already make them in the smaller sizes for the reason you mention.

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so late today had to go out......but oh today's creation is divine love the colours too. Hope the weather is as lovely where you are as it is here. The only trouble is.....and I'm saying this very quietly......it's too hot for me! Lol!
Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration you give us and I'm so looking forward to seeing your Christmas cards.
Hope you and your daughter are well. Take care.
Love Sheila xxxx
Hi Sheila
DeleteYou are welcome at any time, and to leave a comment like that is worth waiting for, Thank you.
SShhhhh, I'll whisper in your ear, It's way too hot for me too. I took my elderly cat,(Summer) for a walk in the garden and to eat some grass as she was poorly this morning and after 5 mins I was ready to go back indoors and I think she was too. I cooked her some fish which she ate and slept in the cool of the hall for the rest of the day, Bless Her.

Good evening Tina,
ReplyDeleteStunning, it looks like someone has shook a flower bush and made all these butterflies take flight.
It will be strange to see you move rapidly from a full summer garden to Christmas, but I look forward to see what you make.
Cheers
