Good Tuesday Morning All
I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and enjoyed some of that lovely sunshine. Sunday was our sunniest day, so I took the opportunity to make up my hanging baskets and the pots.Looking really colourful!.
My 2nd DT card for June is for a friend, when I need to send a special message. Here goes!

Cosmic Shimmer Detail Embossing Powder
Cosmic Shimmer Graceful Mustard Mica Powder
Cosmic Shimmer Iced Blue Sparkle Mica Powder
Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Wild Honey
Creative Expression- Pearls
Butterflies from my butterfly stash
I started by matt & layering Gold and custard card, then made another layer slightly smaller with black gold and custard and both the custard card I embossed with Rambling Rose EF. I stamped the focal point with perfect medium and used black embossing powder and heat set it. I then coloured it with mica powder. I then added two of the Lattice arched adornment and hooked them over the top and the bottom of the focal point. I stamped the word friend and cut it out and while still in the die I coloured it with wild honey distress ink I also went around the edge with black ink to keep to the colour scheme. I cut several layers of the peony die and tried to mimmick the flowers in the stamp. I cut several dandelion clocks and maidenhair fern and arranged them around the flowers. I added some butterflies from my stash and added pearls to finish.
Hope you like this one too.
Have a good week, hope to see you again soon

ReplyDeleteHi Jane
DeleteHope you are well!. Thank you Jane I look forward to my lovely comments too. I will send you some pictures when they fill out a bit more. Some nice delivery person came and knocked over one of my flower stands and broke the liner so the flowers were all over the decking, so it's a repair job for me today.

Love those flowers Tina - and the dandelion clocks make great centres. The Rambling Rose embossed background is particularly effective on the custard card. Gorgeous :)

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card, I love your flowers. I've got the peony dies but haven't used them like you have which is stunning. MUST have a go!
What a clever use of the adornment, too.
All in all, you've done yourself proud!
Hugs, Rose
Hi Rose
DeleteThank you Rose. I have to admit I was about to throw the flowers out of the window as I couldn't get the shape right, and it was a different card and it kept flaking, plus I dropped one on the floor and I rolled over it with my chair and it was the best looking one too. Isn't it always the way. Hey Ho!.
Talk to you soon Rose

What a pretty card Tina with a lovely choice of colours. The stamp is used to advantage as are the flowers. Hmmm, might have to see if the budget will stretch to them.

Hi Clare
DeleteThank you so much, I'm really pleased you like it. If you had been in my workroom at the weekend I was frantic saying to Paul I can't post this card, I'm not happy with it. He said it was fine. I try not to do fine, so I added some dandelion clocks and maidenhair fern. Then I was happy. I hope you buy the stamp, it is beautiful and big.

Hi Tina, Had to get a new computer so that meant I had to learn all the new buttons - but back now and loving all your latest cards They are so beautiful. I don't know why you worry so much. Every card you make is "spot on". I just love them so much. Mary - Durham
ReplyDeleteHi Mary
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have you back, and leaving a lovely comment too. I think computers are a fantastic way to keep in contact, but when they don't play ball they are an absolute pain in the proverbial, and what a lot of expense with having to purchase another computer and to learn a whole new format, you are so clever. I couldn't do half of what I do if I didn't have Paul or my boy Craig to call upon. So lovely to have you back though, lovely to hear from you again.
