DREAM

Good Tuesday morning everyone

I hope you all had a good week, and enjoy the new week ahead. I had a lovely surprise last week, I found out what flavour our Grandchild is going to be. Claire had her 20week scan on Wednesday and she asked us to go over to her home for dinner, where she gave me a little bag with pink and blue tissue in it. She said take the tissue out and it will reveal your grandchild. I took the tissue out put my hand inside the bad and pulled out a pair of little ---- shoes. We are so thrilled as I know deep down Claire and Toby were hoping for a ----.  ME! I would have been happy either way, but the look on their faces were amazing, and I just can't wait to meet --- now. The reveal is after the card!

After our baby reveal,I asked Jane B for permission to show her gift that she gave to me when we met earlier this month, and then finally we have the tutorial. It's a long blog this week.

Here Goes!!

Hope you like it!.

NOW OUR GRANDCHILD REVEAL

What brilliant news to receive in the same month as my birthday, so I'll never forget this memory. Not wishing life away, but we can't wait for March XX

Next is a beautiful present Jane B gave to me when we met her & her husband a couple of weeks ago. Jane is a Fantastic Artist. I was overwhelmed receiving this gift and to know that Jane had hand painted this. Isn't this stunning.

Jane showed us  pictures of some portraits she had painted, and they looked like photo's. What a wonderful talent to have. Thank you again Jane XX. Talk soon.

Finally The Tutorial. Stick with me people nearly finished, Anyone ready for match sticks or a coffee, or maybe something stronger. Mine is a Brandy & Babycham, Cheers! I am writing this in the evening, honest guv!

Products needed to make these flowers.

Cut this amount to make the larger flower

Now start to colour your flowers, in a shade of your choice

When the flowers are as you like them, start to shape them with the ball tool.

Using the two small petals make into a bud

Then keep layering remembering to off setting the petals. This die is different to the last tutorial as all the petals are different so before you glue them move them around until you are happy with the way they look. Then use your tweezers to fold the petals over.
This is the finished flower but I have put another picture of a flower I made back in May, It's a more open rose with the same die, and I used the larger petals too. So it is quite versatile.

Hope this tutorial helps. Next time I thought I would make the Cheery Lyn Design- Gardenia strip or Sue Wilson's Classic Rose. I hope you're up for that, if not, I'll try something else. Please say!

I hope you managed to stick with me today. It's been quite an epic blog this week.
Thank you all.X

Same time, same place next week

Big Hugs :-)

  2. Oh Tina where do I start lol. Such a beautiful blog this week, full of happiness and beauty, and you deserve all the happiness that comes your way.
I find it very weird how our daughter's paths have been so similar, even down to them having the same cot/bed for their daughter's !! I'm so delighted for Claire and Toby as our daughter and son in law were so desperate to have a little girl too, I don't think they have stopped smiling and I can't wait for you to feel the way I do Tina. A feeling that can't be put into words, love doesn't come anywhere near.
Oh Jane, your gift to Tina is absolutely gorgeous, so pretty and delicate, you are so talented and it must be wonderful to be able to paint so beautifully like that, and even link your art work to your card making. It's a beautiful work of art Jane.

Your card yet again is stunning Tina. I'm starting to run out of vocabulary to explain your works of beauty ! And yet again, your floral element is just so real looking.
I had a wedding card to make and as most of us do, I added a few flowers but even though this card was a last minute order I thought I'd take a bit more time and go through your tutorial from last week and I'm so pleased I did. It did take that little bit longer but well worth it, and if I wasn't SO stressed about the other cards I have yet to do before the weekend I'd pre cut a load of flowers and form and curl them whilst watching tv. So thanks for your very helpful tutorial and hope you liked the end result. I really feel like screaming "no more orders, leave me alone " so I'm just hoping that my silent stressed screams are heard and I can start and make the cards I need and have to fit in making before the weekend !!! I'm so glad I have your blog to look forward to, and you at the other end of the phone to laugh with, as they rightly say - laughter IS the best medicine. So on that note, I will love and leave you and send you love n hugs and hope for you a happy week (although I'm sure nothing can beat last week's happy moments ) that will have to wait till March, and now the 20wks have passed, March will be nipping at your toes before you can say "push" lol.
    Hugs.

It is strange how our girls have had parallel things happen, and I can't wait for my smile to be as permanent as yours.

Thank you Steph, glad you liked my card today, I seriously didn't have a clue until Sat/Sun how it was going to look. My word Steph you have taken on a lot and with the market at the weekend too.

phone you soon ( hard luck )! You have a good week too, don't work too hard.

  3. Morning Tina, on my word what a stunning card but more importantly is the wonderful news on your first grandchild, I was in exactly the same position, having 3 sons, and when I knew it was a girl well all my birthdays and Christmases rolled into one, she is now 14 and just as adorable as the day she was born, I have another wonderful and very special granddaughter and 2 gorgeous grandsons, they bring us so much joy, I know exactly how you are feeling. The picture is fantastic, amazing how someone can have the patience and talent to create such a beautiful picture, I envy them.

I will be checking out all the instructions etc. later as I have to get ready now to go and have a blood test, nothing serious, just routine but don't want to be late.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

    1. Hi June

Thank you June, I still need yo be pinched because I still think it's not real until I see Claire, and every time I see her I can't believe the size of her bump and I have to take a photo. I'm doing her a maternity diary.

I know the inlaws are delighted it's a girl as she had 2 boy's. I would have been happy either way, but I did say right from the start it was going to be a girl, It's wonderful news for them and for us.

Jane really is a very talented lady and I will treasure my gift from her.

I hope your blood test goes well for you today, glad to hear it is just routine one.

      Take care June

I know Hazel, it's a bit different to hearing about the sex of the grandchild by text or facebook. You know me so well. We have already planned a pink shopping trip.

I'm very lucky to have some lovely ladies on my blog, with Jane's gift and my flowers you sent me and from two other lovely ladies. I consider myself a very lucky lady indeed.

Your card is stunning, I just love your flowers and the Lynx die is a definite must have :) that one will definitely be put onto my Christmas list.
The Lilly of the valley painting is so pretty, Jane is such a talented lady.

    1. Hi Angela

Thank you, I was worried that people might find this week a bit to big of a blog to bother staying to read it all. I am lucky to be so close to my daughter as I am with my son, but I don't think there is a baby on the way soon. I think the thought of even settling down frightens him. He has a lovely girlfriend, and every time mariage or babies are mentioned, you can see him drown of colour and a look of fear on his face. Bless him.

Thank yo for such a lovely comment Angela, and I promise I will keep the tutorials going, if not every week, maybe once a fortnight if that's OK

Somewhere in my emails Jane has sent me other paintings on porcelain, I will get permission to show them, they are stunning.

  8. Hello Tina,
Wow, where to begin. As Julia Andrews sang, "Let's start at the very beginning"!!!
Your card is beautiful - as usual.
Jane's picture of my favourite flowers, Lily of the Valley, is gorgeous and a true work of art. What a wonderful gift to receive.
Now then, the wonderful news from Claire and Toby. The gift of a grandchild is unbelievable. You will experience a love unlike anything you have ever known, and when March arrives, enjoy every second with your granddaughter, and I send my best wishes for a healthy pregnancy and a safe delivery.
Finally, your flower tutorial. I'll practice more. ha ha. I'm happy with whatever you decide to show us next week.

OMG Maureen. I touch Claire's tummy every time I see her and talk to our little girl all the time. Claire play's classical music and the baby goes quite, but when she plays country music she is on the go all the time. I will pass on your best wishes to Claire, she is fascinated that everyone is so interested, and thanks you all for your kind thoughts.

If I can fit another flower tutorial in next week I will, if not it will be every 2wks.

    1. Hi Pat

It was a beautiful and personal gift to receive by a really talented lady. One to treasure. I can draw, but it is cartoon characters and they have to be 3ft or more tall, and I have to lay on the floor to draw them. Weird or what! Straight line you've got me there, me neither.

It was a lovely way to find out the variety of grandchild, and one that we will remember too.
