Roses grow on you

A very warm welcome to all who visit my blog today on this very wet & windy afternoon. I got absolutely drenched and blown to pieces when I came out of the wholesalers today, especially when I got caught in a heaviest downpour while loading the car, but I consider my self lucky at least we don't have the awful white stuff, it makes for a pretty picture but not much fun when you have to go out in it. So stay safe and warm.

Products Used:-

CE Foundation Raspberry pearl card
CE White Foundation card
Sue Wilson- New York Collection Corner Border & Tag dies

To My Bestie

Good Tuesday morning to all to my lovely regulars, Thank you, and to all that just pass through also a big Thank you for dropping by.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and will look forward to the slightly warmer weather at the start of the week , only to prepare for another cold snap at the end of the week. "Roll on Spring". Although I passed the fire station last Tuesday on the way to the wholesalers and there were some beautiful Daffodils in all their glory on their front lawn, they looked so beautiful, but so early.

This is one of the new stamps from Creative Expressions that I have been sent to make some cards for February, I've just jumped the gun a bit, but they don't mind.

This stamp is called "Best Friend".

Products used :-

8x8 card
Foundation White card
Sue Wilson- EF- Rambling rose-EF026
Sue Wilson-Frames & tags- Dainty rectangular Frame
Spellbinders- Matting Basics A
Creative Expressions- Best Friend stamp
Tim Holtz- Distress Inks- Wild honey
Creative Expressions- Gold Dazzler
Black & White stones from my stash

I started with an 8x8 black card, and matt and layered it with gold mirror card and an embossed layer of white card using the Rambling rose EF. I then used the spellbinders Matting dies in black, white  and mirror card. On the white card I stamped the Best Friend stamp. I stamped the sentiment onto white card and cut it out with the oblong die from the SW Frame & Tags die and coloured it with the wild honey ink. I used sticky pads on each layer for dimension. I made a big luscious bow and added a gold coloured Sparkle.

I really hope you like it. Please feel free to leave a comment. It's really nice to know what you think.

Take care all, talk soon.

ONE FOR THE KIDS- Fridge Magnets

Good Tuesday morning to all who visit, who leave a message or just decide to pass on through. You are all more than welcome.

This weeks Creative Expression make is Fridge Magnets. I thought it was about time I took these stamps in a different direction and did something so different for me. So here goes!. Please feel free to leave a comment as it makes it fun to read.

I started by stamping "Pickle & Alfie" and cut them out. I coloured them in with Pro- markers. For Alfie, I drew a bone and cut it out, cut a slit around his mouth and glued the bone in place. I found a flower from my stash box and added some leaves from Sue Wilson's classic rose die. I drew a dog bowl cut it out and glued it next to Alfie.

As for Pickle, I gave the same treatment except, not having any glossy accents in my repertoire yet, ( but that is in hand ) I gave Pickles a Paddicure and used some pink nail varnish to enhance her pads and also in her ears.I then made Pickles a swing from Bakers twine, made a couple of bows also from the twine and attached to the tags with cosmic shimmer glue. She swings free from the above magnet.

both of these cuties were either mounted or are hanging from a spellbinder tag die, and a sticky back magnetic sheet was also cut in the same shape. The separate sentiment magnet was stamped from the Paws-Itively Great stamp set, and cut with a Sue Wilson's die set and also cut a piece of sticky back magnetic sheet in the same die and adhered them together.

Spellbinders- Tags die ? TBA
Butterfly- from my stash
Flower from my stash

See you soon, Take care whatever you are doing this week.

Peek A Boo!

Good Tuesday morning to all, if you visit and leave a message it is so welcome, if you don't linger long enough to leave a message you are more than welcome too.

Today's card I have managed to get some Sue dies in with the stamps , just to add a bit of fun.  The colouring of the cat is taken from my adorable much loved 18 yr old Summer who makes us wait on her 4 paws everyday, and when you get to that age I think you are allowed to call the shots. Anything she wants she gets, and my goodness doesn't she play on it. bless her.

Back to the card. I have enjoyed my time with these sweet little stamps. Here is my next offering.

Products used:-

8x8 White card
Creative Expressions- Silver foundation card
CE Green foundation card
CE white card
Creative Expression- Pickle cat stamp
Sue Wilson- Scandinavian collection- Stockholm
New York collection- Corner border & tag
Scandinavian collection-Oslo
Spellbinders tag dies
Sue Wilson EF- Sea Garden
Ribbon from my stash
Sentiment- also from CE Paws-Itively Great Stamps set

I started with the 8x8 white card and matt and layered it with the silver and green foundations card. I matt and layered the smaller layer with the same combo, but before layering I embossed the white card with Sue Wilson Tumbling Sea garden EB. I stamped the cat onto white card and coloured it with pro-markers. I then cut out the Sue Wilson dies and layered them with sticky pads and cut the body off the cat stamp and arranged it to look like it was holding onto Sue Sue's dies, just peeking over the top and attached the tail to the side.I stamped the Meow Sentiment and attached with sticky pads for even more dimension. Tied a bow and glued to the focal point. I stamped another sentiment to the spellbinder die added a cat bowl stamp and inked the sentiment while still in the die, then added with sticky pads for dimension. Just to frame the card I cut 2 border dies and hooked them over the top matt of card just to finnsh the edges..

I really hope you like this card, please feel free to leave a comment as I will love to read them.
Thank you.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN 2014

This is just a little Thank you card for all your support in 2014. I don''t know what I would  have done with out it. So I send you all a really big Thank you .

I used some  stamps that I came across on line, and absolutely fell in love with.  I'm not a stamper and prefer working with dies but these were just a little bit different. So I hope you like the card  I made with the stamps and of course our Sue's dies.

Again, A big Thank You, and a really happy & healthy 2015.

Whoops!!
I forgot to say what products I have used.

Anna Marie- absolutely fantastic quality 8x8 Black card. I really recommend these cards.
C&C satin finish pink card
Hammered white card
Poppystamps- Theo butterfly die style 1060
Pink vellum for top layer of wings
Sue Wilson -Scandinavian, Corner, border & tag Die
Sue Wilson- Frames and Tags- Dainty Rectangular frame die
Sue Wilson- Californian collection- San Francisco
Stamp up- Stippled blossoms, beautiful double stamps

firstly Matt and layered the pink satin card with the white hammered card and attached it to the black 8x8 card. I did the same with the smaller matt and layering, but before attaching the white card I used to double rose stamps and leaves. I was so impressed with these stamps, I think they will used quite regularly from now on. I cut 3 of Sue Wilson's dies for the focal point stamped my sentiment and used sticky pads on each layer for dimension. For the frill at the base of the card I cut 3 Borders, scored down the middle, folded in half length ways  to form a long fan and glued them together and added some sparkles. I also cut 3 butterflies in hammered card and 3 butterflies in pink vellum glue them together and sparkles on them too. That's it. Once I had the idea it was a quick card to make.

I hope you all enjoy . XX

SAUCY!

Hi Everyone

Good Tuesday morning to my lovely regulars, my new comers and to anyone who passes quietly through.

I did start off with socks on the line either side of the puss cat, but I wasn't quite happy, it seemed too Christmassy, and because I knew this card would be going live in the New Year I decided to spice up January. I hope it's not too Saucy. I drew a pair of men's pants and added them to the card and asked my son what he thought. He said my goodness mum what are those , they don't look like pants, you need to google mens pants. I thought isn't that wrong!!. So I asked if I could draw a pair of his ( from his pant draw), and this is what I came up with.

The colour of the pants and leg length have been changed to protect the modesty of the recipient!

The ladies pants were a lot less stressful. I also asked L Steph about the contents of the card, and she said not knowing C E, maybe they'll have a  sense of humor, and luckily they do, as they gave the go ahead for the card. Thanks Steph.

So here is the big reveal, so to speak!!

Naugthy Kitties

Good Morning to all my regular blog friends and to those who just pass through.

My card today has a bit of a story. I have some lovely net food covers, or shall I say I did!.I came out to the kitchen to find my food cover with more holes than Swiss cheese and 2 angelic guilty puddy cats sat either side of what was once my food cover. They weren't interested in the food under the cover, just the flowers that were on the food cover. squeak had a look that says it was her over there and Bubble was sat in the middle of things and was just looking cute and so innocent. They get away with so much!. Anyway the outcome of this is the food cover was a joke, totally destroyed so I took off all the daisies and Voila! I made a card with them. I don't normally make a card with ready made flowers, but I think I could get used to this. Isn't it true that crafters never throw anything away. I still have some daisies left so they could very well make another appearance soon.
