My niece has just got engaged and is very much into monochromatic. I hope she likes this card. I'm secretly hoping that she will let me do her wedding invites. They are such a lovely couple.

WOW, Tina this is stunning, I don't know how you do it to get your embossing so deep and crisp every time? This is a define Tina designed card, with your flowers and butterflies. What a keep sake congratualions to the happy couple. They would be silly not to let you make their invitations!!! I have been asked by one of Gillians friends if I would like to make their invitations, it's a September wedding so I have said to give me a few weeks to see how I get on with Gillian and Andrews main ones. DeleteRegarding embossing, using the Joy I put in another layer of card when embossing, and 9 times out of 10 it goes through with out too much pressure. I don't know hoe that will work when I get my new Cut n boss later this month. When you think I ordered it back in September ,had a fault sent it back and was told I would have one beginning of January, but because of the CHA and all the orders I have to wait for mine to be shipped over around the 25th Jan, and then it has to be be sent out to me. Hey Ho! What can you do, every other company that has ordered this product is in the same boat, so to speak.
I really hope you get to do Gillian's friend's invitations, they won' be disappointed. In fact I think they will be very lucky to have such a personal keepsake.

Oh yet again another wonderful card so very beautiful and elegant, indeed those butterflies are simply fantastic this is definitely another wonder of Tina card. If this happy couple ask you to make their invitations they will be one very lucky couple as all their guests will have something very special to treasure as a reminder of the happy day.

Paul's eye is now fixed, but Claire still a work in progress, I get so frustrated as she won't contact the doctor for the latest results.

I did a friends wedding stationary about a year ago, they didn't have too many guests, I ended
Up doing about 70 of the day invitations and another 60 evening, menu selection cards,
RSVP etc, it was ok, very laborious though, everyone had to be identical too, which got a bit
Tedious, you end up having a production line, I remember being stood ankle deep in the
Backing strips, they were so static they stuck to everything! It was very satisfying in the end
Seeing all the piles of uniformly designed cards etc

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card and totally made with love in every corner of it. I am sure your neice would be over the moon with her card full of love. Your tiny roses that you have made of clay are so dinky and cute. Did you make each individual leaf itself or is a mold that you can put the molding clay into? It looks like an individual job to me but it just gives it that wee extra touch of care. I am so glad that you are showing Tina cards again as they are always so beautiful flower, just stunning.

DeleteYou have a lovely way with words, and lovely to read. You are right, I do use a mold but the mold I bought have a really ugly leaf bit on it so I cut that off and make some bigger petals by hand with same clay.

STUNNING. A real Tina card. Wow, what a card, I bet this will be taken to her work place to be ooood and ahhhhh'd at. Why wait to be asked, is she the sort of gal that would feel awkward asking ? I can just imagin how beautiful her wedding stationary will be if you are making them. Claire's were just amazing as where the favour's. Only seems like last week we were both making our baby girls invites - hohum.

ReplyDeleteI was reading Sue's blog and someone mentioned that they'd been on your blog so I thought I'd try to find you, and hey ho here we are!!
Your card is lovely and I'm certain your niece will be thrilled with it. I was asked to make my niece's wedding invitations, etc. for September 2013 but she had definite ideas and wanted something very, very plain. Honestly the save the dates were done like a postcard. No flowers, swirls or anything. Just a piece of plain pink pearlised card with a thin embossed line 1cm all around the edge, with a slightly smaller computer printed paper with the details on glued on one side. The cards and other pieces were nearly as plain. I was so disappointed. The only concession to a bit of frippery was one small pearl heart. Mind you, she and her husband-to-be were delighted, so that was the main thing.
I didn't realise that so many of Sue's bloggers posted their cards and they all make beautiful cards, I'm going now to look at older posts. xx

DeleteA real warm welcome to my blog. My niece is such a girly girl, she wants frills and sparkles so I'm hoping I can be of some help at least. I did my daughters Wedding invites and favors, my goodness what a task. The invites were embossed and had lace ,bird cage with tiny flowers and raffia bows. sounds horrendous but turned out beautifully. Claire my daughter also has a flare for craft. her favors were little bird boxes. We hand died the paper as she wanted it to be something that you wouldn't find in any shop, they had scallop roof edges, grass flowers and a bird on the place name attached to the roof as they did a double function of table seating and favors, and had chocolate eggs as the wedding was at Easter, on Good Friday 2014. There are some pictures on my blog, but you have to go way back if you want to have a look. A lot of work but totally worth every minute of stress.

Catching up thanks to a very lovely BT broadband engineer and what a way to catch up with a fantastic card this is so very, very, beautiful. If this couple don't ask you to make their invites well all I can say is it will be their loss and no mistake! This is a true 'Wonder of Tina' card with those butterflies ready to take flight! You really have a wonderful gift and you are so very generous to share it so freely with us all, I for one am always so grateful.
