Another Mobile Christmas Card

Good Tuesday Morning everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, and for those who leave me a comment an even bigger Thank you.

I hope you all had a good week, even though the weather has been so varied up and down the country, and of course, Spain. Jane are you still frying over there?

We had a lovely time Saturday with Claire & new hubby, Craig & his girlfriend & the in-laws, it was a lovely family get together. Brilliant food & drinky poos, Fab day!!.

Right back to business. My card this week is made by using Sue's snowflake die. It is another mobile Christmas card, not like the spinning Christmas tree card I made 2 weeks ago. This is in a frame of about 1/2" deep and it moves when the air is moved. It's sparking away at the moment as the ceiling fan is on and is making it sway.

I hope you all have a good week, stay safe & healthy.

I hope you like this one

First I did a matt & layer of black card, silver and coconut white, and using the embossing folder for the white card. I then made a 2nd later using the same 3 cards. I then cut a picture frame using the grande squares. I cut several sizes of Sue's snowflake dies, glittered them and positioned them around the card. Next I cut a few of the larger snowflake dies and layered them for dimension and also curled them forward to give a 3D effect. I attached the large flake on a piece of cord and hung it from the frame so that it swings. I made a bow and added a snowflake to the centre. Finally I added the sentiment to bottom right hand corner and covered it with black glitter. OH I forgot I added a bow of tuille too under the bow.

At the moment the temperature has gone down a wee bit,it's more bearable and we had a bit of RAIN. Yet we do need a lot more rain however .The month of July was the warmest since 1870!

Glad Tina you enjoyed a lovely family get together and the weather was reasonable, but most important the food was good!!
Have a nice week Tina, talk soon and looking forward to the next Tina card. Take care Jane B.

You're getting earlier each week, I'm glad you like this weeks card.

I'm so pleased that the temperatures have dropped slightly and also had some very welcome wet stuff even though it's not enough. I bet it was a welcome change.

      Will talk soon Jane

  3. Morning Tina, another really gorgeous card, I am loving them, must have a go at this one too with your permission, but can I ask where did you use the Creative Expressions 'Snow Fibre Paper' or am I missing something, I have bought some but not used it yet.

    1. Hi June

Thank you, glad you like it and loving the cards. You don't need my permission, but if you want it , you have it on any of my cards. Like I said last week, I'm very flattered.

Whoops! I forgot didn't I. The fibre paper is behind the mobile snowflake, I also embossed the paper with the Swiss dots folder. It shows up better in real life. Sorry about that June, I didn't realise I hadn't put the how to make details on my blog till late last night, that'll teach me to rush.

    Hi Tina,
So pleased that you've had a lovely family gettogether, hope the rest of the week will be as lovely for you.
You certainly got your mojo, making this lovely snowflake card. It is BEAUTIFUL. (Albeit I hate snow and that is one stamp/die I haven't bought - don't want to tempt fate)
Lovely for you to share with us.

    1. Hi Rose

Thank you Rose, I hope my mojo will stay long enough to do next weeks card too. I used to love the snow and prayed we would get lots, that's when the children were younger and I used to drive them around, but as soon as they got their cars I hope every year we don't get any snow. Fickle aren't I. Take care, talk soon

  8. Hi Tina,
What a stunning card! I'm sure it looks even better in real life too. The snowflake dies are lovely. I didn't buy those as I already had Spellbinders snowflakes and well, we can't have everything! Your snowflake centrepiece would make a lovely ornament any Christmas too. It would really catch the light. You've really got me thinking today! No easy task!
Glad you had a lovely family weekend, we did too and it's so nice to get together.
    Lots of love, Myra xxx

    1. Hi Myra

I'm really pleased you like my card this week. The spellbinder snowflake dies are beautiful too and can be layered in the same way, and like you say we can't have everything. I think that is a lovely idea to make the snowflake as an ornament especially with the Glacier ice glitter, make 2 and glue together and it would make a lovely bauble.

Really pleased you had a good weekend too, nothing like a get together!!

This is so beautiful. The snow flakes look as though it's snow that's actually falling. You have excelled yourself here, I think I may just have to "borrow" this idea.

  24. Hi Tina
Even though I'm so late I didn't want to miss out on commenting today as I only got back yesterday from a lovely break with my Auntie and Uncle (they are only a couple of years older than me as my Nan had my uncle late on in life) We went to Ostend which was hubby's favourite place so it was mixed with many emotions and meet ups with some old friends.
Now to another stunning Tina creation its just so exquisite Tina and I love your mobile cards and those snowflakes are just so pretty.
Well must get on as I have washing to do hope the sun is shining beautifully where you are too Tina and you and your family are well.
    Lots of love and hugs

You'll be welcome at any time. I'm pleased you had a lovely time with you aunt, uncle & friends, even though it was tinged with sadness, but you obviously had some lovely happy memories there too. That is another first you have achieved, and hopefully it won't hurt quite so much next time you go.

Thank you for even thinking of my blog so soon after your return and leaving a beautiful comment. Look after yourself, gentle hugs.
