AS PROMISED

Good Thursday Morning Everyone

As promised here are some photo's of Georgina's Wedding invitations. She also went down the rustic line like Claire, so much so, she will be using quite a few of Claire's idea's even down to the same photographer. You can't get much more of a compliment than that.

Jeanie, If you call back here, I have to apologise about not being able to send you a thank you message on my last card with CE. I don't know what I have done, but there was no reply button, only a delete button. So can I say now, a big thank you for your lovely comment.

Here goes!

Here are a few pictures of Claire's goodies at her baby shower

hope you enjoyed seeing the pictures.

See you on Tuesday with my next card. I feel like my aprons strings have been cut, but I have so many items to use again I just hope I do them justice..

Big Hugs

  1. Morning Tina, oh these are so beautiful, what lovely keepsakes in years to come, I often look back on my families invites and also all the little thank you notes and little gifts that I have received from my children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces, I would not part with them for the world. These little things from the baby shower will, I am sure, go into a keepsake box to be got out on special occasions (like first boyfriend/girlfriends).

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Thank you June, I'm glad you liked them.

I have so much to put into my memory box. I think I am going to give up on memory boxes and get a chest.

  2. Hi Tina,

Goodness you have been busy, the invitations are lovely, the craft card makes them look so different, the raffia just makes them.
The baby shower goodies must have taken you an age to prepare - well done you, will certainly be may happy memories when you look back at them in a few years.
Thanks for sharing the pictures, not long to go now, I'll bet you're starting to feel well excited :)

    1. Hi Angela

Glad you liked everything I made. It did take a long time to organise and to order games, decorations, favour bags make the crackers shop for the food then cook it and decorate the house with balloons, banners, it was more decorated than at Christmas and finally getting two spare rooms ready for weekend visitors. I couldn't put into words after the party how EXHAUSTED I was.

I know, 18 Day's to go, not that I'm counting.

  3. Hi Tina,
Oh the invitations are are so beautiful....now I'm not a lover of craft card and I never know what people see in it ( I'm just a good old pastel girl! Lol!) but on this occasion I have to say you have changed my mind and the raffia is a lovely finishing touch.....mind you I know you could make anything look beautiful! Which die did you use on the gatefold Tina it's so pretty.

My word you and Anthea did Claire proud with the baby shower goodies....those pink crackers are so very pretty and Claire's Baby Shower Love Hearts, they are so cute. I love the sentiment on the Wish Bracelet note. Well done for making Claire's Baby Shower an occasion to remember and hold in your hearts forever.
Thank you for sharing this Special time with us all.

    Love and hugs Sheila xxx

    1. hello my friend

Thank you Sheila, I'm so pleased you like them. I wasn't a fan on kraft card either, but like you I have a different opinion now, and again like you I like pastel colours too. The die I used was a Die'sire Create-A-Card and it's called Garden Party and I purchased it from Crafter's Companion.

It was extremely exhausting Sheila, but to see Claire face & hear her laugh was worth every ache in my worn out body. They all loved the crackers and their party bags. They do so much now for baby showers it was hard to say enough now!.

      Talk soon Sheila

Claire must be so thrilled with the goodies you and Anthea made for her and I am sure they will be in her memory box something to show her daughter when she is older and tell her what a fantastic Grandmother she has.

  5. Good morning Tina,
Flower, you couldn't fail to do justice to all the things you bought as you have a brilliant mind for creating and it shows each and every time we see your beautiful creations here on this site, so never bring yourself down like that.
Georgina's wedding invitations are beautiful flower and so very different from what i've seen before. I am not a craft card fan, never have been but these beautiful little works of art make it look like the finest card to be able to buy. Although she is going down the rustic look that your baby girl did, that's only a testament to the work and beauty that you brought to Claires wedding and indeed the most sincere form of flattery.
I got the gift of a grandson last June Tina and they totally change your life and the amount of love that you have inside waiting to burst out is amazing. This baby is going to have a Mummy and Daddy love her to the moon and back, but also a Granny(scotland we have grannies)that can't wait to get a shot of cuddling them and letting them play and get creative with them. I have got some things for Harry to start and play with me, just waiting on him getting steady on his wee bum as at the moment we are taking a nosedive into the floor as he is still shoogily. Thank you Tina for the showing us the beautiful invitations and to Georgina for letting you show them.
    Love and crafty hugs

    1. Hi Norah

Thank you Norah. I'm liking kraft card more than I did,and it's nice to work with. I'm just hoping that if I get asked to make wedding invitations it's pretty sparkly ones.

I can't believe your Grandson is 8 months old, time is going too fast. If Claire's on time 1t's 18 day's to go, I'm wishing this time to go fast but then I want to put the brakes on and savour every moment.

  8. Hello Ang,
Excuse me while I scream. I've just lost my post!!!! Here goes again.
The wedding invite and RSVP holder are stunning. I've bought craft card and have used it twice, both times for young boys' cards, but you've shown that it can be used for much more decorative things. I love them and will have to pull my socks up!!!!
The baby shower things are gorgeous as well. I particularly like the verse on the bracelet and the pram die on the cracker. All nice little touches which just finish things off beautifully.
I am sure all these things will be cherished and kept to hand down. I have kept all family wedding invitations, napkins, anniversary things etc. in my Family History Folders since I got married nearly 50 years ago, and my nieces and grandchildren love to see them. The same thing will happen with yours.

  10. Hi Tina. WOW You have done yourself proud with these invitations they are so beautiful. Love the kraft card and the raffia just finishes them off beautifully. Clares baby shower gifts are lovely. The crackers are gorgeous as is the bracelets. Beautiful keepsakes and what beautiful things to put in her memory box to look at in years to come. You need to give yourself a BIG pat on the back for all your hard work. I know what it feels like as i made a 120 wedding invitations, 108 table settings and 10 table names plus the seating plan. To say i was sick of the sight of them is an understatement lol. Now we just have to wait for the big day which is only six weeks away. Good Luck to Clare and Toby just another couple of weeks and you will have your beautiful granddaughter. Take care Tina until next time.
    Best Wishes.
