LOVE

Good Tuesday Morning Everyone

I hope you all had a good weekend, and found some timeout, for yourselves,

We had a lovely lunch with Claire on Tuesday. I say we, because Paul announced he was taking Tuesday & Wednesday off. He did ask if we were doing anything for Claire's birthday, and I said "yes I'm taking her out to lunch". His bottom lip then stuck out and he took on the look of a  child, and said in a sulky voice "can I come". I wanted to carry it on, but I gave in and said Yes of course you can come. Someones got to pay the bill!. We went to a lovely country pub and had an amazing 3 course dinner then back to Claire's for coffee. It was about 6pm when we got home. It might just be me, but if I go out for lunch and get home late afternoon, early evening all I want to do is go to bed.

Today ( Sunday ) I have been batch cooking Lasagna's Chilli-con-Carne's, cottage pies & Korma curries to stock Claire's freezer to make life easier at meal times, and for Craig too, I can't leave my boy out. Paul went to London to a lunch at Ronnie Scott Jazz club, my idea of hell!, sorry if I have offended anyone. It was a Christmas pressie from my sister. So I was able to knuckle down to some full on cooking. The kitchen looked like a bomb site. I do clean as I go but still ended up with loads of washing up. All done now.

Now I am in my workroom making a flower and leaves to go on Tuesday card, lovely to sit down!

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my tutorial, I really enjoy doing them.

Hope you all have  a lovely week everyone. Same time same place next week.

7 day's to go, still not counting though! At the end of the card is a little present I have bought for our little granddaughter, I melted when I saw it and had to get it.

OMG,  I took the meals over to Claire's today ( Monday ) that I  had made for them and the first thing I noticed is that our baby bundle has dropped Eeeekkk,. I Stayed with Claire for the afternoon, nothing much on telly but Claire's tummy was mesmerizing, our little half pint was moving, not as aggressive as in past days but more intense. You can actually see the shape of her little bottom and her foot pushing on the side of Claire's tummy. It's fascinating just watching Claire's tummy moving, and in just a few days we will meet that little bump. Claire showed me all the other little things they have bought for their little girl, and it made me think that we had bourne ours in the stone age. Now It's Cots that you can have the same height as the bed for easy feeding. Rocker chairs that play music & nature sounds that operate with battery power and not with a foot rocking it, changing stations on top of the cot. My goodness, how lucky this generation is.
How times have changed!

Welcome to my blog. Lovely to have you on board. I have a few tattered Lace EF, but a few of them only measure 71/2 inches, this one included hence I couldn't emboss the larger mat.

Thank you for a lovely comment, and for liking Charlotte ( The Bear )

  4. Hi Tina. You have had a busy few days. So pleased you all had a lovely lunch out. I love batch making its so easy in the winter months just to go to the freezer and get something out for tea and you know its all been made with fresh ingredients. Makes life so much easier. Your card is beautiful this week. Love the way you have made the frame to go over your semtiment. The ribbon looks so different would never have thought to use ribbon this way. Your flower arrangement always looks stunning. The bear looks so cute. Have a lovely week Tina until next time.

    1. Hi Denise

It has been full on again, so the next few day's are for ME! I took all the food over to Claire's yesterday and put it all in the freezer and asked what she was going to have for dinner, she said I'm not eating any of the food you've bought over, this for when the baby is here and I won't have to worry then. Paul took his meals down to him and put in the freezer, minus 1 lasagna which he had for dinner, so happy all round I think!.

Thank you Denise, really pleased you like this weeks card, I only had time to make 1 flower. I really must take a day and make lots, so if I have another busy week I'm not going to worry.

  5. Morning Tina, oh I can really feel for you, I remember what it was like when my grandchildren were born, nail biting is not the 'arf of it but the joy when she is born is something that will stay with you all forever.

Now the card well as always it is gorgeous and I love the way you have done the ribbon, how did you do that please.

She will adore her little teddy, gorgeous.

Love your message about that not the arf of it. I'll like the arf when i know mum and baby are OK.

Thank you June, glad you likes the card. The ribbon is four strips of ribbon tied into a bow and just cut through the loops, then just pull them around until you are happy with how they look. I hope this helps.

  6. Hi Tina,
Your flower is divine this week, you've coloured it so well, almost looks real. The embossing folder is lovely and matches so well.
Glad you had a lovely lunch out with Claire and you managed to see the bump moving around, must admit I hated that bit when I was pregnant. I don't think I've ever felt so emotional as when I saw my first Grandson born, was totally unbelievable and I was so lucky to have been there :)
I've got my fingers crossed for you all and hope that everything goes well.
Teddy is gorgeous, she is so going to love him, when she gets a little older.
Well done with all the batch cooking, you sound so organised.
    Have a good week,

    1. Hi Angela

Thank you for your lovely comment about the flower. It was a fab day with Claire.

Seeing Claire's tummy move was incredible to watch, but you're right, when we had to go through it it wasn't so cute it looked like an alien trying to break out. Paul would always move away from me when that happened.

How lucky you were to be to see your grandson come into the world. I would love to be there but I know that won't happen, unless Toby faints, I'll be there in a shot. Keeps those fingers crossed Angela, thank you.

I am so not organised lately, or if ever. I only cope with the batch cooking as I used to be Head of Kitchen at an infant school and cooked 170 + meals a day, so cooking for 2 is easy. It just comes a bit hard when you don't have the staff to wash up. I would do that too with the girls, I had a fab team in the kitchen. Anyway enough waffle!

      Thank you again Angela

I'm so sorry I thought your email was going to predict the arrival day, I didn't realise you didn't it was a little girl, Sorry. Funnily enough Claire said on Monday, What if they've got it wrong and it comes out with a weena ( Slang for boy I guess! ), and said he's going to look so cute in all the dresses everyone has bought. Either way, I'm up for whatever is coming.

      Hope you are well.X

  9. Hi sweetie. I feel the excitement rising lol. Lottie was never still in her dark corner of the world, and since joining us on the outside she is still the same, even in her sleep she's not still ! Combine that with finding she has a voice other than using it to tell mommy she has an empty tummy life is just a bundle of fun in the new parents home. I'm so excited that you will all find this out for yourselves real soon. I can see that gorgeous teddy bear becoming a family heirloom, it will be well loved and well cuddled.

Your card is stunning Tina, they always are. I presume you use air drying clay when you make those tiny roses with the mould ? If so, have you tried using the clay with Sue's flowers dies ? Apparently you can press the dies into the clay whilst the clay is still moist. I've just got my first mould and clay. Something I can play with in the same room as Andy rather than leave him alone when he's feeling down after the horror we've just gone through. I bet you would come up with the most stunning arrangement and I've just had a thought, with your artistic talent you could do the most gorgeous flowers in a box frame for the nursery. I need to experiment a bit more I'm thinking. I had no idea how much you can do with clay and dies !!

Well chick, I'll leave you to your day and hope it's a good one, will you get a call today I wonder lol.
    Tata for now.

Yes it is the air drying clay, and no I haven't tried it with Sue's dies. There's one to have a go at, thank you. Have you made one with Sue's dies?. I would love to see it if you have.

Big Hugs to You & Andy. Talk soon Steph

Have you ever liked a thing of beauty that brought a lump to your throat? Well I know this may seem silly but your beautiful card did this to me this morning. It's just so serene!!I know all that is a strange way of describing a card but it's just how I feel about it......and then it's followed by that gorgeous cutey for your new baby granddaughter!! Only a week away oh I do hope the little bundle arrives on time.....I'm so excited for you all and what wonderful things they have to help bring up their bundle of joy these days.
Take care Tina and have a lovely week oh and I am envious of your cooking skills, I'm quite hopeless allthough Clive never complained bless him.

OMG, What a lovely thing to say about my card. Thank you so much. Hasn't the teddy bear got such a beautiful face. When I opened the box I got emotional too. I absolutely love teddies.

I hope she comes on time too for Claire's sake, we're keeping an eye on her ankles at the moment as they are so swollen. trying to get her to rest is difficult she is still in nesting mode.

Please don't be envious of my cooking skills. The 1st roast dinner I made for Paul was a disaster. Mum told me to make the gravy from the juices from the meat. I didn't drain away the fat and within 5 minutes of it being put on the table it was setting in fat. YUM!

  17. Hi Tina,

What a card! A knockout is what it is! Absolutely stunning I think. I got to get me some of that clay! I've been wanting some for a while and some moulds as the moulds can work with a lot of things. The flowers, the frames, the butterflies, the ribbon, the sentiment, the embossing... I love it all. Evidence being the noise I made when I opened the email and saw the picture, kind of a "awwwwww, wow!" I have created the "Tina" page on my Pinterest so this will go there.

That then went into a full blown "Aaaaaaaawwwwwwwww!" When I saw the gift you've brought for the little one, that has to be one of the cutest teddy bears I have ever seen! Not long now, bet Claire has butterflies already and the bag packed by the front door. Bet you, Paul and Craig have butterflies whenever the phone rings! If it happens before next week I'm sending hugs & best wishes to Claire and her husband. I look forward to hearing the big news!

Very quiet week so far. Heat mat on the back, brace on the neck and a lot of sitting still or laying down... Thank goodness I had a sky box full of stuff I'd slept through. I set a migraine off last night by laughing too hard! We were watching "back in time for the weekend", it was on the 80's and they played that old " Shake n'Vac" ad, I started singing along which made Me W laugh, which made me laugh...a lot. I felt it go and that made me laugh more, I told Mr W and I'm glad he found it amusing as well as being concerned but for some reason I couldn't stop laughing! My eyes were watering and everything. Had to wait til I stopped laughing before I took the tablet so I didn't choke on it. Best entertainment me and Mr have had in ages, damn good thing too as the football result was as bad as expected (Mr W's turn to suffer Saturday when the Rugby is on)!

Hoping today will be the day to make stuff. Will make myself and Billy some breakfast (no dog food for me, not today at least!) Have a sleep and see what the afternoon brings.

By the way, I wanted to ask what your favourite colours are. I forgot to in my email, everyone who has come to the house this week (both of them) has seen the card and all had the same reaction. Plenty of praise your way from them both. Daniel has vowed when we "do" the back room out I'll have a special place for it, bless him! I keep looking at it, as it's just so pretty I can't help but smile.

Well, that's me. Have a nice couple of days to yourself, I hope the car is back before Claire goes into labour! Have a great week, enjoy the sunshine and "speak" to you soon. Cuddles for the cats, woofs and waggy tails from Billy and hugs to you all from me,

    1. HI T

I'm really pleased you liked the card. I wish I had been a fly on the wall to hear your response. Knowing my luck you'd have swatted me, or chased by Billy. WOW thank you T for the Pinterest page, how flattering is that.

I'm with you on the Bear, That was my same reaction when I saw it and couldn't resist it.

Sorry you are in a lot of pain with your back and neck and to boot a bloody migraine, just because of having a good laugh. I don't know why you found it so funny though, that's how I do my housework everyday.( NOT ). What a plonker she looked, and we bought some shake and vac and all it did was make your carpet smell stale when it wore off, and made me sneeze as well. Lethal stinky stuff.

I also agree with you on liking rugby as opposed to football. At least with rugby you can run with the ball and hopefully get pulled down for a right good scrum with hunky men, with football, I don't understand that they get the ball then kick the ball and then run after it. Just Me! Sorry Mr W.

Glad to hear no dog food for brekkie. Really pleased you liked the card, I wanted to send you the white one but Claire took that for one of her friends weeks ago.

Mmmmm, my favourite colours are sunshine colours. Lemons, golds, green peach & pinks. Not much help am I .
