Hi to everyone Lovely of you all to pop by and look at my blog. I really do enjoy when you stay long enough to leave a comment, and I thank you all very much.
This card is for my dear friend Ann and her husband Steve. I met Ann for the first time outside the infants school gates the very first 1st day our girls started their long road through education. we were both fighting back tears and trying so hard to tell them that they are going to have such fun. I'm afraid I hated school and couldn't wait to leave. Every school I went to had nuns, and finally in my senior school I went to a convent school, and I have to say ( God forgive me ) but some of the nuns were so nasty.
Anyway I diversify, Ann & Steve married 40 years ago today, a St Valentine bride, and we are having a celebration with them tomorrow. We are going out for afternoon tea, really looking forward to it.
This is the card I have made them both, I hope they like it.
I don't know if you would have seen the difference if I hadn't mentioned it but I sneakily added another leaf at the top. I just kept looking at the card and it just didn't seem quite right. I'm happy with it now. I hope you think so too.
Take care all

Hi Tina, wow what a beautiful card I'm sure your friends will be over the moon with it enjoy your day. Take care Jane B.
ReplyDeleteHi Tina,
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous is this card, the tiny flowers in among the larger roses are lovely, and the extra leaf does just finish the composition. It's funny isn't it how a small thing like that is sometimes just the finishing "tweak". In case you're interested my Anniversary is 8th October!! ha ha
Enjoy the afternoon tea,

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! It is just right! I often think that about your cards. To explain a little what I mean - sometimes Ruby Wedding cards are so red they are overwhelming - this one is like baby bear's porridge! Just right!
I love your roses and leaves , they are gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing.
Lots of love,
Myra xx

Morning Tina, your friends will be delighted with this card. My ruby anniversary was in December, but I have 1 card still on display, my friend has recently started card making and hers is so pretty, I don't want to put it away. My husband's birthday cards are on the shelf too since it's his birthday today, and sorry I missed commenting on Paul's card. It's a great masculine card. Derek's quite easy, planes and boats, or his dog, then I'm sorted.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening out
Cheers
