" Oldie for Friday "

Morning Everyone. a big warm welcome to all who visit my blog today, feel free to leave a comment as it's always lovely to hear your thoughts about my cards.

I hope Patricia & Hazel won't mind me joining in the Oldie For Friday. This is a card I made early last year and out of all the cards I have made my sister has always  liked this one, so this is the one she had for her birthday yesterday, and I decorated the inside with wooden numbers for her age.( she wasn't impressed with that bit )

I was asked  if I would show my sisters card as Maureen probably didn't see it first time around.

Chicky said I could show it on my blog but was not to show her age that I had put inside, I also told her I had only put one candle on her cake, as I joked at her age she probably hasn't got enough puff to blow ?? out. I am sooo going to get it back big time when I get to her age. We had a really fun time, Paul went to bed about 01.00am and chick and I filled our glasses and reminisced till gone 05.00 am. Really tired today though. Hey Ho!!

Maureen as promised, hope you like it, and I hope everyone that saw it 1st time around doesn't mind it taking a bow for the second time.

Take care all, Talk again soon

  3. Hi Tina

I agree with Hazel, a masterpiece. Just stunning! I love how you used the striplet, almost like a ribbon for the bow. The little butterflies further add to the elegant nature of it all. Bet your sister was delighted!

  4. Hello Tina,
There's only two things wrong with this card.
1st It was sent to your sister, and not me!
2nd The sentiment is wrong - it should say "This is simply fabulous"
Thank you for showing it for me, I love it - as you may have guessed. Your sister is one lucky lady, Maureen xx

What a gorgeous card! No wonder your sister loved it ! What's in a number anyway! However after your long session together you may need to go to bed at a different number tonight! I'm sure you had a super time. It made me smile! Thank you.
Now my birthday is --------- just kidding!
Have a lovely weekend, maybe starting with a lie- in!

  8. You have posted some lovely cards this week Tina having just caught up with them, but this one by far outshines the rest this week, absolutely stunning it has the real WOW factor! I hope your sister realises just how lucky she is getting a true wonder of Tina card that is so very beautiful.
I hope it will be tomorrow when you read this comment and at the moment you are tucked up all snuggly and fast asleep to help you recover from your almost all nighter! Tell your sister age is only a number, don't fret you are as old as you feel, don't answer that one! lol
Take care have a good rest this weekend, after all the events of the last few weeks you have earned a really good rest. Hope Paul is being a good boy and just for once keeping out of trouble, men they never learn do they!
    Hugs

    1. Hi Margaret

No, still up and still not a bit tired.I'm actually waiting for Paul to come home from a jazz bar in London to have a late dinner.

Soo glad you are back with us again and hope you feel 110% soon.

Thank you for your lovely words about my oldie card.. We are all going over to Claire's for a celebration of all their February birthday's, any excuse to see my lovelies again.

Still got to do my DT card for posting to CE Monday to show on Tuesday, so it looks like I will be shut in my workroom again tomorrow. Like that's a bad thing.

      Big Gentle hugs Margaret

  9. Amazing. It's a beautiful, special card, I can see why your sister loved it, and why you had to give it to her. (this time I put my specs on and read carefully) But aren't you good, hiding her age.
Great that you guys can sit half the night talking, drinking wine, and having a good time. Yes, you are tired, but it's such a great way to spend an evening with someone you love being with.
Re. some of the other comments, don't joke about making your followers cards for their birthdays, if that gets out you will have a bigger readership than Sue.
    Cheers

  11. Good evening Tina,
i can see why your sister loves her card so much and it must be lovely for you to know that you did it just right for her. I love the cameo in the frame that you have on it as it is shown off to its utmost advantage. What a cracker of a card Tina and so really pretty, thank you for showing us it and your lovely sister for allowing us to see it. I take it she was 21 plus vat, she's just not saying how much the vat was at the time :)
    love and crafty hugs
