Happy Birthday Claire

Good morning everyone. Welcome to my never ending birthday blog land. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has a month of never ending birthday's, but you have to do something a little bit special when they are your own kin. This one I made for Claire. I wanted to do something different for her, it looks lovely in real life, but very difficult to get the right angle to photograph.

Only one more to go this month, and it is my sisters special birthday tomorrow on the 18th.

When she came over at Christmas she looked at all my cards that are taking up space in my work room, and haven't a clue what to do with them. Anyway we noted that she said to Claire that one I had put on the blog earlier in the year was her favourite, and she thought it was really special, so that one is the one I am going to adapt it for her special day, I probably won't put it up on the blog as I have already displayed it. I might stick it on the oldy for Friday That Hazel & Patricia do. Luckily the words are special, I just have to add the number. Ohhhhh, she will hate me for it, but it has to be done, and I know she will do the same for me or worse, when I get there, but that's another day.Today is Claire's day.

This not the easiest card to photograph, and looks much nicer in real life.

I hope you like it.

Talk soon, Take care all

    1. Hi Janice

I'm so sorry. I Think I misled you by thinking this was my sisters card. I have on many occasion written my blog and after publishing it I have gone back to read it, and goodness some things have sounded so bad I'm surprised I haven't been banned.

This is Claire's card and I am going to give my sister a card I made a while ago, my fault I didn't explain it too well, sorry.

    1. Hi Jane

Thank you for liking the photography. It's a bit awkward when you've cut a card in half it then looks a bit distorted. The die is Spellbinders delicate Asters, and I made them with vellum as it give a more delicate look.

Absolutely stunning, so much detail and those Aster flowers look amazing in vellum.

  9. Hi Tina,
This is the last word in gorgeous. It's truly beautiful and I see you added the right number of leaves lol !!! It really is spectacular. October is my mad month for cards, anniversaries especially as we all seem to have got married in that month, the family, friends and older neighbours - as it used to be the best month to get married for the tax rebate and I think that's the reason. I know that's why we got married then.
Please post your sister's card as I only started on your blog a few weeks ago so haven't seen the one you are basing it on.
Forgot to say I hope you feel a lot better today.

  10. Hi Maureen

Thank you for those lovely words. I studied the leaves for ages before I put it the card on the blog this time.Perhaps I out to make two cards the same but with slight differences, and do a spot the difference game.

Just for you I will post my sisters card on Friday. Chicky is not a glitter and sparkle girl like me, so it's a bit different I guess it wouldn't be so interesting if we were all the same.

Oh, by the way Ive made a note of your anniversary, just let me know your favourite colour, and I'd gladly make you a card

  12. Hi Sandra

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a lovely comment. The card above was for Claire, I'm going to post my sister's tomorrow as it was one she liked when I first started making cards. I'm hoping to get back to some kind of normality now that my mammoth birthday month is over, what with cake baking and party food.

    Hugs
