Love You Heart Card

Good Tuesday Morning to all who visit my blog. I hope you have all had a good weekend, and have enjoyed some of this lovely sunshine. I am typing this at a very musicale time of the day. It is just gone 6pm there are a couple of doves sat in the branches of one of our blossom trees, there's blackbirds singing, and the sunset is a painters palette of purple pink blues oranges and yellow. That's the one thing we have enjoyed moving here, is the spectacular sunsets and the really noisy chorus at the end of the day. I still pinch myself every day. When I get another sunset when the sky looks as though it is on fire, I will blog it. I would love to see some of your sunsets too.

Have just got back on line as I have had problems with internet. So, so sorry to all that I have not replied to you.I am going back to my last blog to reply to you all.

This is my next card for the CE DT, I hope you like it.

I attached it to the back of the square die. I then cut the (heart) decorative frame and also the touch of love heart and backed it with white vellum. I made a cut in the circle heart die and cut around the flower of in the heart die, poked the heart frame through the petals of the flower and glued back together at the back to line up with a petal so that you can't see the join,I hope this makes sense. I have to say I was really chuffed with this effect. I then added my rose with the leaves and finished off with a couple of sprays.. Sounds easy, it really is!!

NOT A CARD, but still got flowers

Hi Everyone

It's Friday already, isn't it scarey how fast the weeks seem to be passing. I did schedule this post for midday today, and I have just come in from to kitchen after making a cup of tea to see if it was the blog. needless to say I scheduled it wrong. Silly me.

I hope you are not too disappointed it's not a card today,it's an old chocolate box my daughter threw out about 2 years ago and as you know, us crafters tend not to throw anything away. I took it out of her bin and thought one day I'll decorate that, and here it is. There should have been 3 more roses but Bubble knocked them off my work desk and played with them on the floor then decided to see if they were edible. Makes for a good toy though. I've used this old box as my project to go into the Creative Expressions Newsletter. I still have to do the write up of products and how you can make it. I am still in the process of writing and photographing it, but I have taken some for you to look at.

I hope you like it. Please feel free to leave a comment, it will be more than welcome. Thank you

Products to follow shortly. Thank you very much for your visit.

Good Tuesday morning to all who visit and stay to leave a comment, or if you are just passing through quietly. You are so welcome.

Excuse all the scribbles on my workbench, I know it looks a bit messy but if I get an idea I scribble it down. It does get cleaned off every night though unless it's a really good one.

Look who came to dinner

Hi everyone

I really hope you enjoy this picture as much as I do. I was sat in my workroom at about 1.10am this morning making roses for my next project, when I heard a scratching at my patio door. It then went quiet for a while and then I heard my little patio table and chairs moving and the sound of metal being scratched. I turned my lights off in my workroom and turned the outside lights on thinking if was anything or anyone nasty they would run. I was quite shocked at what I saw. Sat there as bold as brass, a badger.I  watched  him/her feed for 15-20  minutes and managed to take loads of photo's. I was literally 4 feet away, what a privilege. I'm going to offer a 3 course meal tonight all served with the white cloth over my arm ready to take his/her order. Table manners need to be worked on though.

Hope you like this.

Menu for tonight is. Cat food a nice clean bowl of fresh water and nuts. Looks like another late night!

Love & hugs

Good Tuesday Morning everyone.

I hope you all had a good weekend.  What awful weather our friends further up country have had to endure, I hope it hasn't been as bad as it has sounded on the news, it really has been bad for you this year.

Today we have had one of those really awful wet grey days, the one's that you go out in and don't realize how wet you get. We have 4 trees in the front garden already full of Pink and white blossoms and looking so pretty, Spring is definitely on it's way. Saturday  was beautiful and the sun we did have was warm enough to take Summer, our elderly cat for a walk around the garden to eat some really juicy grass. I hope that you were all lucky enough to see and feel the warmth of the sun too.

I'm really sorry I have not posted a  Tina card this week, but I have been working on several cards for CE DT that had to be made ahead of time for the next couple of weeks. My make for this week is really different, I went into he vintage side of my brain, given my age you would have thought I was at home there already,  but here goes anyway. 1st CE DT Card for March

Good Tuesday morning everyone, and welcome to my 1st DT Card for March. I had such a hectic month last month full of family related cards and parties and get together's, not that I am complaining as we had some lovely family time. I am now able to breath a bit easier this month and hopefully get some Tina cards made.

To all my lovely blog friends further up country you have had some horrendous weather and I hope by the time you read this things would have settled down for you. We have had really strong winds today ( Monday ). I went to the wholesalers looking fairly respectable, but coming home like I had been pulled through a hedge backwards.

For this month we have no stamps, it's dies, and it's all about love.

I just hope I have done my 1st card justice so here goes!!

Products Used:-

8X8 black card
Creative Expressions Foundation card- Periwinkle
Creative Expressions- Vintage Silver Card
Sue Wilson EF- Bed of Roses
Creative Expressions- Heart dazzlers
CE- Bakers Twine pale blue
Grosgrain ribbon
Couture Creations- Ornamental Lace Die
Spellbinders- Grand Squares
CE- Celebration Sentiments
CE- Diamond Sprinkles
Cosmic Shimmer- Ebony Ice
Sue Wilson- Finishing Touches- Classic Rose
Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Weathered Wood

My colour scheme is black , silver and periwinkle blue.
I started with Matt and layering silver and periwinkle blue card. The second layer of matt and layering, around the black layer I added double sided tape and sprinkled Ebony Ice. I then cut a heart with the couture creations heart die. I then pleced it on a piece of double sided sticky sheet.I took the back of the sticky sheet off and attached it to pale blue vellum and hand cut around the heart, to the front I covered it with Diamond Sprinkles and added 5 pale blue gems from my stash. I then attached the heart to my matt and layered top which I had used the new Sue Wilson EF , Bed of Roses. Before attaching the top layer to my card I wrapped some grosgrain ribbon and also tied a big bow too. I wound some bakers twine around the strip of ribbon and made a little ribbon and glued it to the main bow. I stamped the sentiment from Creative Expressions celebrations sentiments and cut it out with spellbinders Grand Squares and while still in the die I just gave a bit of a shadow with weathered Wood Distress Ink. I made a rose from Sue's finishing touches die and dusted with yet more diamond sprinkles then added black and white leaves just to keep in with the colour scheme . Et Voila!! I hope you like it.

As usual I would love to hear your comments
