Good Tuesday Morning to all who visit my blog. I hope you have all had a good weekend, and have enjoyed some of this lovely sunshine. I am typing this at a very musicale time of the day. It is just gone 6pm there are a couple of doves sat in the branches of one of our blossom trees, there's blackbirds singing, and the sunset is a painters palette of purple pink blues oranges and yellow. That's the one thing we have enjoyed moving here, is the spectacular sunsets and the really noisy chorus at the end of the day. I still pinch myself every day. When I get another sunset when the sky looks as though it is on fire, I will blog it. I would love to see some of your sunsets too.
Have just got back on line as I have had problems with internet. So, so sorry to all that I have not replied to you.I am going back to my last blog to reply to you all.
This is my next card for the CE DT, I hope you like it.
Products Used:-
8x8 Black card
Creative Expressions - Custard card
Foundation card- White
Sue Wilson- Italian collection- Umbria
Sue Wilson-Italian collection- decorative frames
Spellbinders- heartfelt Creations- Vintage Floret
Couture Creations- Ornamental lace collection- Touch of Love
White Vellum
Leaves using
Creative Expressions- Iced Snow
Creative Expressions- Diamond Sprinkles
Sticky pads
creative Expressions- clears dry glue
Creative Expressions Sentiment- Celebrations
Firstly, I matt and layered Custard and white card, second layer of matt and layering I embossed with Sue's trellis heart folder. I then cut an Umbria square die and an Italian decorative frames ( heart round ). I used the middle circular die from the Umbria square to make the sparkly focal point I stamped my sentiment onto the circle then using double sided sticky sheet and coated in Iced snow. I attached it to the back of the square die. I then cut the (heart) decorative frame and also the touch of love heart and backed it with white vellum. I made a cut in the circle heart die and cut around the flower of in the heart die, poked the heart frame through the petals of the flower and glued back together at the back to line up with a petal so that you can't see the join,I hope this makes sense. I have to say I was really chuffed with this effect. I then added my rose with the leaves and finished off with a couple of sprays.. Sounds easy, it really is!!
Hope you like it

Good morning Tina, How can we not like this card!!!!? It is absolutely beautiful!. And I am thrilled to see another rose! We do have gorgeous sun sets as well but I am not at all a wizard with my p.c. or tablet I can look at the blogs and send a comment but how to send you a picture???? Sorry but have to ask the kids when they are here to show me how to do this. Take care Jane B.
ReplyDeleteHi Jane
DeleteThank you, I am so into making roses at the moment. I hope you won't get bored. If you get your kids to show you how to send piccies through the pc I will look forward to it. hopefully we will get a lovely Spring and Summer full of lovely sunsets.
Big hugs

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeletewhat's there NOT to like? It is absolutely gorgeous and you are so clever to cut through the circle and feed it through the heart. It looks most effective! (And one cannot see the join!)
Your roses always look so attractive, mine just look a bit naff to tell the truth. Not at all like they do on the Sue Wilson tutorial - I'm wondering whether 300gsm card is just too stiff. Must try with thinner card, the roses are just too good to forget about.
Thought spring had sprung but it's gone cold again................
Hugs, Rose
Hi Rose
DeleteThank you. I did reply to your email today, I'm so sorry that I have problems back here, hopefully they are all sorted now. I used to use 300gsm card to make my roses, but I have gone down to 240 & 260 gsm, you'll be surprised the difference it makes. I went to feed the pond fish earlier and thought how cold it was even though the sun was out. We have had a couple of showers of hail stones and strong winds, and I thought at one point it was snowing, but it was all the white blossom being blown off of the trees. Such a shame, as they have looked absolutely beautiful this year, so full.

Oh Tina, this is adorable. If I show this to my friend when she gets home (lucky lady is having 3 months in New Zealand), then she will really want it. What a great way to anchor that heart.
ReplyDeleteI really must sit and try to make roses, I know Patricia posted detailed instructions recently, she is a rose expert too.
Your colour choice is unusual, but absolutely perfect.

Hi Myra
DeleteI would have answered you sooner but still having problems with my B computer, it keeps freezing and I lose everything I have written. Thank you for your lovely words about my card. Your Mr black bird sounds so cute and how lovely for him to bring the missus as well. It's a shame we can't share video's of these wonderful things.

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful, and I must have spent a couple of minutes trying to work out how you anchored the heart. I had in my mind exactly what you had done, but couldn't see the join, so thought I must be wrong lol. Your rose is superb. I printed Patricia's instructions on how to make one out, but haven't had time to make any.
Must go, supposed to be getting ready to go out, and I'm going to be late!!!
Maureen xx
Hi Maureen
DeleteI'm going to get this message in quick, in case it goes wrong again. Computer keeps freezing and I lose my messages.
I made sure that I resealed the circle heart behind a petal of the flower so that it wouldn't show from the front. You won't go wrong following Patricia's rose guide. Hope you had a good day and weren't too late.
Thank you Maureen
