Good Tuesday morning to all who visit and stay to leave a comment, or if you are just passing through quietly. You are so welcome.
Today's card is another heart felt card, i must say it has been lovely to have some dies to work with as opposed to stamps. Either way it had definitely stretched my imagination.
Here goes!!
Products used:-
8X8 white card
Matt and layered with Creative Expressions Vintage Silver card and Creative Expressions- Blush card, embossed with Sue Wilson's Rambling Rose Embossing folder.
The top layer of matt and layering is finished off with Spellbinders Scallop edgeabilities. I then cut 2 heart from Couture Creations ornamental lace dies in Vintage silver card, I hand cut 1 heart in pink vellum and another in Blush card. I cut them in half and attached on opposite sides of the vellum and blush to each heart . I Tied a bow made from Creative Expressions Finishing touches Ribbon in sof pink. I just folded two different sized loops and glued them in the middle and added a large Dazzler from CE. the focal point was made with Sue Wilson's Austrian collection- Salzburg, Scandinavian collection-Stockholm and Scandinavian collection-background. I made some butterflies with creative expression white foundation card and blush card. Et Voila!!
I hope you like this weeks make for Creative Expressions .
Please leave a message, it's the only way I can improve. I look forward to reading your comments, Thank you in anticipation.
Excuse all the scribbles on my workbench, I know it looks a bit messy but if I get an idea I scribble it down. It does get cleaned off every night though unless it's a really good one.

Good morning Tina, what a lovely card again and I think one can use it for many occasions wedding, anniversary ect. Unfortunately I cannot use Sue Wilson's beautiful embossing folders as I have a big shot .will not fit !!I do however have lots of her dies ! Both our children are coming over for Easter so they usually bring me some dies as a present!!?? Hugs Jane B.
ReplyDeleteHi Jane
DeleteSorry it's so late to come back to you, but my son stayed for another day while his car was being fixed. I know he has been working from home, but it is just hearing the floorboards creaking in his room that is just such a familiar and comforting sound. I hope you have a wonderful time with your children, and I can't wait to hear what dies they have bought for you. hopefully I will hear from you in the meantime though. Take care Jane

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, everything about it. I don't know how you get these interesting shots of the background light on your cards, very effective.
Sorry, left you another litany on yesterday's blog - my response to your earlier reply.
Hugs, Rose
Hi Rose
Deletethank you Rose, there's no great secret to the lighting. It's just my clip on light to the shelf above where I work, and if I position the card right I get that lighting effect.
I have to say I shared your tears with you today when you spoke about Katinka, it took a while for me to dry my tears as I just so sympathize with you. I can't understand why I wanted to do go through all the pain again by taking on Bubble & Squeak and also wanting to take on another dog, but there are so many animals that need a home, and if we can give just one more dog in our life span a home I have to do it. Not one of our pets have ever replaced another, they are all so very special in the love they gave, and I still have lots to give and absolutely love what they give in return. Thank you Rose
Take care, Talk soon
Love, & big Hugs

Hi Tina,
DeleteI know why you will go through the pain again - same reason as we all do. Life is made up of happiness and joy as well as pain, I mean if we didn't experience the first two then, and only then, would we not feel pain. But what a terrible life that would be. (same of course applies to people.......) There'll definitely be pictures when my house will be home to a couple of kitties again...
Have a lovely day,
Hugs, Rose
Hi Rose
DeleteNever were truer words spoken.
I for one can't wait until your house is your home again so that I can look forward to seeing those pictures of your new fluffy bundles.

Hi again,
DeleteJust had a bit of a stroll round your blog and picked mid 2014 - you really have had sad times.......... but then I came across Bubble and Squeak ........... NOBODY could have left Bubble behind (least of all you, from what I'm reading, and I would have been right behind you). Is his eyesight ok or does it give him probs?
Hugs, the nightowl
Hi Nightowl
DeleteHe played a blinder that day, short of walking around with a white stick I fell for it hook line and sinker. He is the most alert little boy ever, he even plays the timid card too. I call him head butting bill as he is constantly head butting my arm or hand for attention, so does Bubble. They are a couple of characters, even when I say it's time for din dins tibbles ( all the cats know that's meal time) Bubble and squeak head butt each other and walk so close together with their tails curled around each other. I wish I could catch it on video as it so Gorgeous to watch.
Sorry I didn't catch your message earlier, I am making my next make for CE, making more roses.
Big hugs

Just as I sent this message, the late dinner guest has arrived again, he/she is absolutely fascinating. I can't go to bed now until he/she has left
DeleteXX
Badger watch over tonight he/she has just taken his leave with a peanut skin stuck to the end of his nose. I hope he's not going out on the pull now, because I don't think the ladies will be impressed.
DeleteGood night Rose, thanks for coming back to read my ramblings. That's if you do come back. Sleep tight
Tina XX
Oh Tina, I love hearing about your two "kids", it's true kittens know how to press all the buttons. I still have to chuckle imagining Squeak with a little white stick. It's so lovely to hear that they really love each other.
DeleteAnd lucky you again, having your dinner guest come round once more. S/he doesn't seem to be frightened at all as staying for quite a long while.
I think your roses are FANTABULOUS and no mistake!
Hugs, Rose
Hi Rose
DeleteI have had a very non productive day. Mo and Bubble had a bit of a tiff, and Bubble came off worse so I let her spend the day with me in my workroom. that was definitely the wrong thing to do, the project I was hoping to get finished is still in bits. goodness knows how many times I have picked my roses up off of the floor, and the leaves look a bit battered, I think I might have to cut some more, or don't do too many close ups. Anyway the 2 girls are friends again now
, so hopefully I can finish it now and get it on my blog for tomorrow. Sorry I wrote this about 2hrs ago and didn't publish it.

Oh Tina, you made me chuckle with your non-productive day. You didn't REALLY think you'd finish your project, did you???? Bubble must have had a BALL batting all those roses - I'm still chuckling. They might look more "natural" a bit battered, as if they'd been in the wind............ LOL
DeleteYesterday I took possession of my new Big Shot Plus machine, it's wonderful. TODAY IS PLAYDAY (well, I have to make one card).......... and I've also got to put an office chair together, it'll be a lot easier than always moving the dining room chair about when I'm crafting.
Starting Monday, I'll HAVE TO go regularly to the gym again, these inches are creeping up!! I'll have to get back into my old routine of 3 times a week!
Have a really enjoyable weekend with your family, two-legged and four-legged.
Hugs, Rose
Hi Tina

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteThis is GORGEOUS. I love the two tone hearts, very effective. My friend has some wedding invites to make for a family member, I think I will suggest she gets this heart die, since I think even used in a simple card it will be lovely. (then I can borrow the die too!)
Had to laugh when you ask for comments to help you improve...don't think you need much improvement nowadays. Just keep producing these cards to inspire us
Janice.
Hi Janice
ReplyDeleteI think that die would be beautiful for wedding invites, and what a fantastic reason to keep using this die after the invites are finished. I thank you very much for your lovely words, and I promise to keep my cogs working to come up with something different every time. hope to talk again soon

hi Margaret
DeleteSorry it was so long to answer you, only Paul came home from work and then went around to our neighbour to help him out with a computer virus.
I don't know how to slow time down, Oh if I could I wouldn't bottle it, I think one time or another in our lives we all need more time.I know what you mean though, life is whizzing by.
I know isn't it lovely that He/ she badger has come back yet again. I am literally feet away from it and it doesn't mind the flash of the camera,in fact when it see's the flash it looks in the window as if to say enough already you have a picture of every. angle of me what more do you want. I hope you are all Ok. how are Tomas & Amy.
Love & big hugs
