HELLO

HELLO to my regular blog friends, and if you just pass through I hope you like what you see.

I have sooo missed making my " Tina cards ". I have been really determined to make time to make one for my blog.      Whoops!!. Sorry I have to go, the cats are pestering me for a top up, I think they feel neglected because I have shut them out of my workroom today, the meows are so loud. ( be back soon ).

Hi back again. They are so demanding, don't go on the time on the computer there have been lots of other interruptions in between feeding my fluffy friends. I wish I was waited on as much as all my puddy cats are.

So, as I was saying before they rudely interrupted me. I just shut my workroom door and made a Tina card of flowers and butterflies. I have missed making my fussy cards, but also very pleased and excited to be on the CE DT as they are really stretching my imagination, and that's a good thing.

I hope you like this one.

Last Christmas DT card

Good Tuesday Morning Blog Friends

I hope you had a lovely weekend, and are raring to go for the rest of this week. I can't believe in less than a week I will start to put up my Christmas Decorations, It takes me at least a week to put them all up. My favourite is the fire surround. I absolutely love Christmas, but this year we have a few first's to overcome.

Anyway like I said the last Christmas DT card this month, and then on to my next challenge for next month, even more of a challenge for me.

Back to the last Christmas card. I have used practically every stamp in the partridge in a pear tree set. I hope it's not too much of an overload.

Please feel free to leave a comment, as I love to read your feedback

I hope you like it!

Products used:-

8x8 white card
Gold & silver Mirri card
Silver mica flakes
Distress ink- Wild honey,Tattered rose, and weathered wood.
Spellbinders- Large square dies
Sue Wilson-Festive collection- Pine bough
Cosmic shimmer embossing powder Gold silver black and true white
Cosmic Shimmer- Mica powder- rose pink gold & blue
Most of the stamps from- Partridge in a pear tree stamp pack

First of all I matt and layered an 8x8 white card with gold mirri and white card, added sticky strips for dimension, did the same with silver and white card and lastly added gold mirri  and white card for another dimension, but covered last layer of white card with a sticky sheet and covered with silver Mica flakes.

1st square, I stamped the partridge with clear medium covered with black embossing powder and heat embossed. I then used pink gold and blue mica powder with a water paint brush and coloured the partridge. I cut some twigs from the pine bough dies, stamped a couple of pine sprigs and heat embossed in silver and then st the partridge on top with sticky pads

2nd square stamped music verse stamp with clear medium then added true white embossing powder and heat embossed., matt and layered with a smaller square the finally stamped a sentiment, heat embossed in silver embossing powder and layered with sticky pads.

3rd square, just stamped sentiment and horn stamp with clear medium and heat embossed with silver embossing powder, and added very thin sticky pads for slight dimension.

I stamped all 3 of the small pear stamps in clear medium covered each one with a different embossing powder, Gold, silver and true white and heat embossed. The diamond embossed pear, I then coloured with pink, blue and honey distress ink same colours as the partridge to tie in the colour scheme.

Finally I matt and layered each square with several layers of card and sticky pads until each square was a different level.

Sounds a lot of work, but you could cut many squares at one time. It was good fun

Hope you like this card, please feel free to leave a comment.I hope you all have a happy and healthy and enjoyable up and coming week, and will see you all again soon.

Kind regards

Butterflies and Flowers

Hi blog friends

Just a little card to say, I too am missing making my butterfly and flower cards. So thought I would make this one quickly, butterfly overload I know but it was good getting them out again. Very difficult to add butterflies on Christmas cards. So if you can't take the card to the butterfly, take the butterfly to the card. Just a bit of fun. hope you like it.

Like I said not the butterfly and flower card I normally do, but just did a quick fun to make Christmas card twist.

Kind regards:-)

Let It Snow

Good Tuesday Morning to all my regular blog friends and to those who just pass through.

I hope you all had a good weekend, and have a good week ahead.

I would like to say a big welcome to my blog to:-  Cr@fty, Ros and Rocky, and thank you all for your lovely comments, much appreciated and I look forward to reading them.

Products used:-

16x8 card
foundation card in red and white and green
Creative Expressions snowflake stamp - Snowflake & sprigs
CE Sentiment- Winter Greetings
Spellbinders- Fancy Tags Two
Sue Wilson- Festive collection- Classic Poinsettia
Sue Wilson- Festive collection- Mosaic Poinsettia
Sue Wilson- Snowflake Lattice
Glitter embossing powder
Gems from my stash

I started scoring my card 4" each side of the card and then fold in to make an 8x8, then I cut an 8x8 piece of card in red and stamped the snowflakes in perfect medium and used true white embossing powder and then heat embossed it. I cut 3 sets of the poinsettias in red and the same in the mosaic die and layered them.On the front of the card I did a matt and layer of red card and the white card I embossed with snowflake lattice EF folder. I put the poinsettias on to the front of the card so that they slightly overhung each side of the card. I made a forked tag and stamped a sentiment. I cut  fancy tag and embossed a sentiment and placed in the inside of the card. Every snowflake was given a gem in the middle on the inside and on the front of the card.

I hope you like my 3rd  CE DT card.

I really must do another Tina card with my flowers and butterflies, I miss them. I will have to put some me time by.

My new Cut n Boss machine arrived on Tuesday last week, and by the time this blog goes out it will have been collected yesterday ( Monday ) as it has several fault. I hope they fix it as there are no more in the Country until February. Unless you know anywhere I can get my hands on one? Hoping they will let me have a refund.

Talk again soon, have a good week everyone

Kind Regards :-)

Partridge in a pear tree

Good Tuesday morning all, I hope you had a good week-end and have an equally good week, as I have said at the bottom of this post a very different card from me again this week. My goodness, I am really out of my comfort zone but really enjoying it. Thank you all for taking the time to visit my blog, where you will always be more than welcome. Have a good day everyone.

products use:-

8x8 Black card
Creative Expressions- Vintage Silver card
CE card- Black
CE card- white
Mari bu feathers
CE- Partridge in a pear tree stamp range
CE- Diamond sparkles
Sue Wilson- Festive collection- Pine Bough
Gold thread from my stash
Cosmic Shimmer- Gold & Silver embossing powder
Spellbinders- Heirloom 2012 baubles die
Spellbinders- Labels 33
Tim Holtz- Black soot distress ink

I  started with my black 8x8  card, I then cut a slightly smaller piece of card in silver, then another slightly smaller in white card. I then cut an aperture using Heirloom 2012 largest die in the middle of all three, and then embossed the white card with tiny dots EF. Then I put sticky pads on the back of the silver and white card for dimension and Matt and layered them. I stamped the large pear four times and heat embossed two in silver and two in gold and cut them out., then scored them all down the centre  folded them along the score line and glued them together to make a bauble and did the same for the four leaves. I used Cosmic shimmer dries clear glue through the middle and around the edges of the pears and put diamond sparkles on the glued areas, then put a length of gold thread through the centre of the pear bauble and glued it to the middle Matt of silver card. Then using the Pine bough dies I cut 3 of the pine and 1 of the twigs and arranged them to the side of the bauble aperture. I then stamped a partridge and coloured it with water colour pencils, cut it out and mounted it on top of the pine and twigs. Finally I cut a sentiment  out and while still in the die I gave it a shadow using black soot, attached sticky pads to the back and adhered it to the bottom of my card.

The first card I made for Creative Expressions was very different for me, and this one is even more so. I really hope you like my 2nd  attempt. Please feel free to leave a comment. I'll look forward to hearing them.

Hopefully I will get some time to make a usual Tina card at some point this week, as last week was manic. Because Claire was taken back into hospital.

Kind Regards :-)

My 1st CEDT Card

Good Tuesday morning to my regular visitors, and to all who just pass through. Please feel free to leave a comment, I love to hear what you think. This is my very first card  as part of the Creative Expressions  Design Team, I just hope it's not my last. Fingers Crossed.

Products used:-

8x8 white card
Black card
Vintage Gold card- Creative Expressions
Pine leaves- Creative Expressions Snowflake & Sprigs Stamps
Sue Wilson Die- California Collection- Hollywood
Poinsettia- Creative Expression Snowflake & sprig stamps
Creative Expressions- black embossing powder
Creative Expression- Gold embossing powder
Spellbinders- Labels Two
Spellbinders- Poinsettia dies ( leaves )
Creative Expressions foundation- Red card
CE foundation card for the leaves
Cosmic Shimmer- Cosmic Twinkles

I started with the 8x8 card, I matted it with a slightly smaller piece of black card then again with a piece of vintage gold card. I stamped the gold card first with the larger pine stamp and heat embossed it with the gold embossing powder. I then cut a smaller piece of black card and a slightly smaller piece of gold card, before layering it I stamped it with the small pine stamp and again heat embossed  with gold embossing powder. I then used the Californian dies and cut an aperture. I put sticky pads on the back of layers for dimension. I put the California die inside of the aperture for a set back look. I stamped 3 sets of the poinsettia's with clear perfect medium and heat embossed it with black embossing powder, and cut them out. Using cosmic shimmer mica powder in gold I mixed a bit in the lid with water and painted the stamens. I layered the poinsettias at various levels for dimension and cut some leaves in green for an added splash of colour. I cut some festive holly sprays and added some Cosmic Twinkles to the berries. For the sentiment I used the labels two die and stamped it with a Creative Expressions Winter greeting stamp. I rolled it to give a beveled effect and attached it to the centre of the card.

It seems like a lot of work but it is a really very therapeutic card if you like cutting out.

I really hope you like this one.
