Have A great Day

Good Tuesday Morning Everyone.

I hope you all had a good weekend and that our British summer didn't stop you doing things. weather here in Wiltshire was touch and go, but managed to get some more flowers planted.

While people are looking for poor Patricia's Mojo could you please look for our summer too. Someones hidden it for sure.

I think I have another two cards to make, maybe one and then it's Christmas for July. I hope you stick with me. There won't be my flowers and butterflies, EeeeeK. Maybe I'll make 2 more cards for June and it will take me right to the end of the month. I am looking forward to doing Christmas cards, it just feels alien in July.

Also I would like to say a big welcome to some new people visiting my blog and say how lovely it is to have you on board.

Anyway here goes for this weeks card.

Products Used :-

Sue Wilson- Finishing Touches- Classic Foldover Flowers
Sue Wilson -Finishing Touches- Maidenhair Fern
Sue Wilson -Caribbean Island Collection - Background
Sue Wilson - Canadian Collection - Montreal
Sue Wilson - Canadian Collection- Toronto
Sue Wilson - Canadian Collection - Border, Corner & Tag
Creative Expressions- Felt - White and Blush
JustRite Stamps- For Sentiment - Hello Daisy
Creative Expressions- White Tuille
Foundations Card- White & Periwinkle

Firstly I made my usual 2 layer matt and layering and the top one embossed with Sue's Wild Rose EF. In the top layer I cut the centre with Caribbean background die, but attaching the top embossed layer with the caribbean cut out I used a piece of double sided  sticky sheet and sprinkled it with iced snow, I took the backing off and placed it on the silver layer underneath. I then put sticky pads on the back of the embossed focal point and attached for dimension. I cut out 3 other white focal die cuts and stamped the sentiment on the smallest one and put sticky pads on each layer for even more dimension. I cut out 4 flowers in pink felt and 3 in white but one of the whites I cut in half to make 2 even smaller flowers. I arranged them around the card and added some maidenhair fern leaves to finish, and of course not forgetting my butterflies from my butterfly stash adorned with bling .

if ever I don't explain how I have made a card I will happily go through it again with you.

Hope you like it.

Big Hugs to all :-)

  1. Absolutely gorgeous card Tina. It just takes my breathe away. Your attention to detail is second to none. When you make your foldover flowers, do you use the large or the small die? Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us and have a great day.

    1. Hi Cathie

Lovely to see you here. Thank you for your lovely comment too. When I made the flowers I used both sizes. I used the large one for pink ones, and the small one for the white ones and cut one of the small ones in half to make 2 smaller ones.

I can definitely say how beautiful Patricia & Hazels pendants are, as I purchased one last year . for my daughter. She loves it, and the fact it's all made for their charity is fantastic.

  4. Another lovely card Tina, very pretty. Can I ask which glue you use for the foldover flowers, I've been using Cosmic Shimmer but it doesn't stick the felt very good, have to hold it in place for ages. :)

    Hi Tina,
what a lovely card, love the pompom flowers. Resisted for ages to buy the Caribbean b/grd but got it last week and am so pleased I did.
It is lovely and you've demonstrated that in your card. Lovely colours, spelling summer (which is sadly missing here, too).

    1. Hi Lynda

Thank you so much for this lovely comment. It's all down to the Cut n Boss machine and the different shims, and of course Sue's fab EF. What on earth am I going to do with butterflies on a Christmas card?

Unfortunately it is the old Christmas dies. They are going to be Classic Poinsettias, Illuminated Christmas Tree & Vintage Baubles. The DT team have no idea what Sue's new Christmas dies are like. I don't know if they will send us some after sue's launch, also don't know that date either, sorry!

How's that handsome little grandson of yours, I guess he's not so small now.

  12. Hi Tina
I have only just found you and thoroughly enjoy your style of cards.
It is quite bleak here on the Mid North Coast of NSW although not really cold, despite it being Winter.
This card is quite lovely and reminds me of looking through a glass bottomed boat and seeing beautiful sea life such as you would find on the Great Barrier Reef here in Australia. Clever you!

    Warmest regards

    1. Hi Jan

Welcome back, so lovely to see you again. I think we might be in sympathy with your weather, it's not really cold despite it being Summer, lord knows where it has gone here in Wiltshire. I can't remember the last time we had a full day of sunshine, mustn't grumble though, although we do!

What a beautiful way to compare my card, I'm really very flattered, Thank you.

  13. Hi Tina. Another STUNING card !! I love the Periwinkle blue card you have used. I do like this EF but as not as much as some of Sue's other floral EF's. I like the Bed of Roses one and it is on my huge wish list but my favourite one is the Rambling Blossoms one. I am so glad I bought this one. I use it a lot. I can see you have used the Caribbean background die. I love the Caribbean set. It looks lovely on your card and I can see you have also used some of the Canadian Collection. I really love all of this collection. I was hoping Sue was going to have another C+C show with these latest dies releases on it so I could buy the whole bundle in one go (on the flexipay) but I supose it will all go on hold now for the Christmas in July stuff !! Never mind. I know I will equally love all the Christmas stuff any way !!! I really love the way you have made those beautiful foldover flowers. I have to say Tina I really adore all the flowers that you make. I think you are the Queen of making beautiful flowers !! I love your cute little butterflies to. Beautiful card and beautiful flowers. The perfect combination !! Thank for sharing Tina. I hope you and your family are well. Just to let you know I have posted a comment on your beautiful Custard coloured card to. The "friend" one. You have really inspired me with your beautiful summery cards today. Thank you, they are so cheerful. Sending you lots of love Tina from Tres x x x

You never know after Sue has released the new Christmas dies she might do another surge on her latest dies. I hope so for you, then like you say you could do the flexi option. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thank you for leaving me a lovely message on my previous card too.

  18. Hi Tina,
So sorry I've been missing I've been through a really low time (I don't suppose it will be the last) but anyway my Aunt and Uncle told me to pack my bags and visit them.....the 4 of us always used to go away together....anyway they cheered me up no end and we always did have a great laugh together.
Oh I do admire your talent Tina and today's card is exquisitely beautiful....the rollover flowers always remind me of mini pom-pom chrysanths....absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your stunning creations with us.
