SMILE

Good Tuesday morning everyone.

Hope you all had a good weekend and didn't get too wet and blown away, and stronger winds to come too. " Where's our Summer ".

I can't believe this is my 1st card for June, before you know it, my year will be up for the design team, it's going too fast.

I am having a relaxing Sunday, as Craig and his girlfriend Hannah have come over with a leg of lamb and all the trimmings for a lovely roast. I have to say it smells wonderful and I'm sure it will taste even better because I haven't had to lift a finger. Lets hope they don't clear off before the washing up though!. Knowing my kids they will.

Here goes with the card

Products used:-

Sue Wilson Portuguese collection- Lisbon
Sue Wilson Portuguese collection- Porto
Sue Wilson Finishing touches- Classic Foldover Flowers
Sue Wilson Embossing Folder- Bed of Roses
Sue Wilson Finishing Touches- Maidenhair Fern
Sentiment John Lockwood- Dogwood Flower Frame set
Creative Expressions- Iced Snow
Ranger- Perfect medium
Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder- Detail Black
Creative Expression- Blush & White
Creative Expressions Foundation card- Blush & White
Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Paste- Polar White

First I matt & layered, Blush ,Silver & White card and then embossed it with the bed of roses EF, I then made a smaller layer with the same set of cards. Then the two pieces of white card that had been embossed I grouted them with Polar white sparkle paste, and layered them with sticky pads.
I cut out 2 of the large folded flowers in blush felt 2 of the smaller folded flower in white and 1 with the small die in blush and cut in half to make 2 small flowers and arranged them on the card and added the leaves and the dandelion clocks. For the frill at the base of the card I cut 2 of the large folded flower dies and snipped off one edge attached to some bush felt with some thin pink ribbon and diamantes. For the focal I cut out most of the Lisbon die and backed the largest with double sided sticky sheet then put the fancy largest die cut onto the sticky sheet. I would have done this more simply, but it was an after thought as I wanted to add glitter. I cut the fancy centres out of the Porto and Lisbon dies and layered them with sticky pads for dimension. finally added 3 butterflies from butterfly stash and added 3 sparkles to each one.

I hope you like this one too!

Did anyone else ball there eyes out with the dogs on BGT show on Sunday, weren't they just amazing.

Later edit:- And WOW they won, Fantastic!! I can't wait to see the Royal Variety Performance

Talk soon, have a good week everyone.

Big Hugs to all

    1. Hi Jane

Thank you, I'm pleased you like it.

I loved my dinner on Sunday, we eventually ate around 7pm and by 9.30pm they were leaving. dishes still on the side. I did say to them that I put on my blog that I hope they were going to do the dishes. They looked at other, laughed and said see, you soon. we waved them off and Paul said for me to finish writing up about my card, So I got out of it all round, not bad eh!

I would love to have some of your sun, I'll look forward to it. It is still blowing a hoolie her in Wiltshire and sadly we lost a beautiful blossom tree, it's leaning too far over to be saved or at least we think.

Thank you for the sunshine, as I am typing the sun is trying it's best to stay on show but it's fighting against some awfully big clouds.

I've got to make a card for a friend who is going to be 70 Tuesday, so there could be another card this week.

Can't wait for the pictures to come, Thank you

      Talk soon, Take Care

    Hi Tina,
Gorgeous card today, love everything about it. The grouting looks amazing, as do the flowers and the dies - I'm so glad I got the Portugese ones. And your flutterbys look just as they should - beautiful.
Now you're not going to like me but I didn't ball my eyes out on BGT, in fact I wanted the magician to win - only by a hair's breadth though. The dogs were amazing and I'm sure will be a hit at the Royal Variety Performance.
And I'm equally sure that the magician will get plenty of amazing and lucrative offers based on his performances,he just left me scratching my head!
Weather is just as horrible up here as it is down there - can't believe it's the second day of summer :-(
    Hugs, Rose

    1. Hi Rose

How are you? Thank you for the lovely comment Rose. Don't you think we have had enough rain and high winds for this year. Jane B, in Spain said she would send us some sunshine, and it's trying very hard to shine, I hope the sun is out for you now too.

That magician what fantastic, I'm sure you're right, I think he has probably been booked many times over. You said the same thing as me. I think the queen will love the act that won as it's to do with dogs.

      Talk soon Rose

  3. Hi Tina,
Oh Tina I haven't the words to describe your exquisite card today....each time you blow me away with your wonderful designs and I think to myself 'Tina you won't be able to top that one!....' but then you do it again! You are such a talented designer. I love Sue's foldover flower and it also looks great in paper too no matter what type you use. I haven't got a blog but have put some on my Pinterest page (Sheila Turner) and last night I tried using two colour and they looked lovely too.
The weather has calmed down here in North Wales thankfully and I truly hope there is a bit of Summer left for us.
Hope you enjoyed your relaxing dinner and there weren't too many dishes left for you to do after or hopefully the family did them for you.
    Take care Tina.

    Love and hugs

    1. Hi Sheila

Thank you Sheila, your words have blown me away too. I have tried to go onto Pinterest to see your flowers, but I'm so thick when it comes to computers. I rang Paul to talk me through it, and I pressed something wrong so he said you just play with what you normally do and I'll show you tonight. So I will definitely have have look later.

Really glad things have calmed down in North Wales for you, it's been horrendous in Wiltshire and one of my favourite blossom trees is hanging over the drive, it's really sad I hate losing trees.

I did enjoy my dinner it was very tasty, but dishes got left, but Paul did them for me while I carried on writing up about my card. That's something else good about being on the DT team other than meeting some lovely people I get out of washing up. I wonder if I could use that excuse every night!

I'll be back later, Take care Sheila

    1. Wow thank you Claire, I'm really glad you like it. I got the flower die sent to me by CE in my monthly bundle. I did buy quite a few of Sue's latest dies but didn't think I wanted the folded flower die, now after what Sheila has done with hers I think they will come in really handy. I hope you enjoy them too.

Thank you Maureen, I'm glad you like my card this week too.

I'm normally in my workroom when these programs are on, so listening to it rather than watch, but I was mesmerized by the dogs, had to see if they got through.

  9. Hi Tina

I have only just recently started to follow your blog.
I just adore the dies that Sue Wilson is designing.
But I must say that I have spent hours trawling through your wonderful cards.
Todays just surpasses all the rest.
I find that it has inspired me to create with the softer colours with white cardstock.
Many thanks for what you do for the craft world and show use what can be done with paper and beautiful dies.

  10. Good Morning Tina!
The sun is shining and the wind has calmed down a bit! Not only that but you have made another stunning card! I'm a happy bunny this morning! I love today's card and the use of the dies is just lovely. They look like lace and your flowers are so pretty! I have the fold over die and love it. I used to make them by hand as Sue showed how to make them but using the die makes the flowers so much neater. I need more felt but Sheila has made lovely paper ones!
So pleased you had dinner made for you on Sunday and you didn't have to wash up either which was lovely!
Thank you again for today's masterpiece!

  12. Hi Tina. I have only just found your latest card. WOW !! This card is so gorgeous !! I love it all !! The Portuguese Dies look great layered up together. They make such a lovely focal point. Your colour combination is great to, but your flower arrangement with the Foldover Flower dies, the fern dies and the dandilion dies is just stunning !!!!! I love the "grouting" with the texture paste. I really need to get some and try it out for myself. It looks fun. I love your little butterflies to. I have looked back at many of your cards on your blog but I think this one is definitely a new favourite of mine !! I also liked your previous card to. Lovely colours and dies used. I hope you and your family are keeping well. I expect you have had your lovely dinner with all your family by now !! Sending lots of love to you Tina love from Tres x x x
