Another Peace Card

Good Tuesday morning all

What an awful Sunday, lashings of rain. We did see the sun for about an hour or so at sunset but now back to overcast skies again, lets hope next week will bring some sunshine for all the kiddies to enjoy their summer holiday's. Claire is so exhausted, she said the children were counting down the days till their long summer break.

I hope if you all have holiday's booked that you have a fantastic time and have lots of rest to recharge your batteries. We haven't got anything planned this year because of our old puss cat Summer, when I go away she pines and goes down hill fast, so I would rather have my puss cat "summer" than have a holiday.

OK here goes for this weeks card.

hope you like it.

    1. Hi Jane

Thank you Jane, I can see you got up earlier this week to see my card, I'm pleased you like it. A resounding Amen to the sentiment I definitely agree with you. Oh Jane I feel sorry for you being so hot, if that was me I'd be be spending all day in a cold shower. I on the other hand had to put a little fan heater on in my workroom yesterday, today is a bit warmer but is still very windy and when the sun goes behind the clouds it a bit chilly. Take care Jane

  2. Good morning Tina, such another beautiful card. How you manage to incorporate so many different things on your cards I just don't know. I love the 3d tree, what a clever idea and again the lovely poinsettias. Goodness you're a woman after my own heart, an animal lover, what a lovely thing to do and stay home because of your beloved puss cat Summer, we've done exactly the same thing on many occasions :). Thanks for sharing and have a lovely time enjoying your time with Summer xx

    1. Hi Angela

Really pleased you like my card this week and for leaving me yet another lovely comment Angela. Summer is such a little cutey she didn't grow very big at all, but so pleased she's a tough little cookie, Thank goodness, she has a really gentle nature and has accepted any other pet we have bought into the family. I think when you get to 19 you have the right to demand the attention.

  3. Hi Tina,
Your creativeness has no bound! Yet another stunning card today! Those poinsettias are just so beautiful and I love the way you have done the open petal out of card and placed it on top of of the complete petal made out of vellum then add a £D Christmas tree. I'm just so grateful to you for sharing your stunning works and for all the inspiration you pass on.
Take care Tina and I hope you are healing well.

    Hi Tina,
lovely card today - I love flowers (any flowers) made with vellum, it gives them such a different feel.
I'm sure I spotted a Pierced Rectangle Noble amongst the dies used. Am I right?
I for one am OVER THE MOON with the weather -the plants in the garden needed rain so badly and I shall now have a chance at digging out the persistent weeds and some of my invasive plants. YIPPEEE.............
I know exactly how you feel about your Summer, I'd do without holidays, too. (After all, I think they're highly overrated, only had one holiday in my life and am none the worse for it - visits to the family don't count as holiday, not in my book)
    Hugs, Rose

    1. Hi Rose

Only people with clay soil would under stand getting so excited about the rain, I'm with you on that one though. I love going to the lake district and have really bad withdrawal symptoms, but having cuddles with my little Summer is holiday enough for me, Bless her.

I think I might have to employ you as my products checker, you're right you did see a noble die. I've been back on the blog and rectified it Thank you, and thank you for your lovely comment too.

  10. Hi Tina

Another stunner, I love vellum flowers and the Christmas tree oh wow! Tina you really do make the most amazing cards!

I have clay soil and although I despair at the state of what few flowers are in my garden (mostly wildflowers) having dry clay soil is fantastic as a) Billy can't dig blimmin' great holes all over the lawn and b) I am safe to venture onto grass in my chair, clay soil doesn't clings to wheels, it cakes them! I had been sending Mr W to trips to the water but to water my wildflowers so he gets a break for now.

Anyway, that be it for the hot weather until the first or second week of September here, then it will rainforest a month, another week of late sun in Octoberby which time I will be back in the jumpers so I can't moan 😉

How is that handsome 4 legged boy of yours? well I hope

While typing this to you a dirty black cloud is making its way over to unload another load of the wet stuff. Lets hope we get some kind of summer before it's time to get the woolies out. Although I'm sat next to a little fan heater at the moment. Look after yourself, talk soon.

Just deleted a few blog's that are no longer what I thought they were lol so now my phone is clear of accumilating rubbish at last. Your beautiful cards are always a delight to look at, and as I have said before you have to be the queen of everything floral.
Have a better day, and look forward to next weeks beauty.

  13. Hi Tina,
This is such a pretty card and your poinsettia in close up is perfect! I have also saved the images and have a Board on Pinterest with your cards. It would direct anyone who pins them to Drakesfieldcards. I have called the Board Tina's cards. Original - eh! I think I mentioned it a while back. You are giving me lots of inspiration . Thank you so much.
I'm a bit late this week as we were in Surrey for a long weekend. Hope you are ok?
