Nothing But Time

Hi Everyone

This post has nothing to do with cards or a tutorial as promised but I will post the daffodil tutorial over the weekend.

With this post I would like to share with you all a blog Claire has started of her own. These thoughts have been going around in her head and she felt she needed to put down on paper, so as to speak, to let people know that Evie arrived for such a brief time but made such a big impact.

I know I am biased but I think Claire has written a most beautiful, moving and a heart wrenching post.

You can find Claire's first post titled " Nothing but time " by clicking the link below :-

    1. Hi June

I hope it doesn't make you cry too much or bring back painful memories. It's lovely to hear from you again too June.

Tutorial pictures now taken I just have to write a comment for each picture. Maybe when it's cooler this evening. I love the sunshine but can't settle to anything when it's really hot, and the puppy is not keen on the fan going in my workroom.

  5. Hi Tina
Claire's thoughts and words really touched me ,it is so sad to read what has happened especially when we know that Claire would have made such a fantastic Mummy , i will continue to pray for her and Toby that all will get easier as time goes on.

I tried to find your e/mail address to bring you up to date on my son, you asked me to let you know how things went .
    Well he had the best 4 surgeons 1 from the Hospital he attends, two from Liverpool and one from Birmingham , the pancreatic surgeon told Andrew and Helen he was young , fit and healthy apart from this, so we are going to be ruthless { and he meant it }
His operation lasted seven and a half hours , they got out the whole of the Tumor , all of the cancer { from the word go they said they would not be able to get it all } they took away the colon, gall bladder , duedernam { Cant spell it sorry } and some of the pancreas, they could not get all the cancer out of the little noduels but the consultants words were " we feel sure that the Chemo will kill it off ".
So Tina we have gone from hoping to be able to have a few more months / years . to being able to hopefully in the future God Willing be Cancer Free. Thank goodness for the Consultants ,surgeons and all medical persons.

Andrew has lost the yellowness and has color in his face after only two days , he is in a lot of pain as can be expected and he has a long way to go , however he is a fighter and he said yesterday " Mum i will beat this ".

Take care my friend my thoughts and prayers are with you all .

    1. Hi Elaine

What a nail biting seven & a half hours you must have had. I'm really really pleased, with the help of the chemo the prognosis sounds sooo good. Keep up the fight Andrew, you'll beat it!!

I'm sending you big hugs Elaine (((X))), the worrying must have been unbearable.

    2. Wet or dry they are here for you whenever life overwhelmes you.I have added my thoughts now, boy, what a strong young lady you have there. And in time her strength will help so many other sad mummies. I'd like permission to pass this onto Lou as she will unfortunately in her profession meet other young mum's that are in the same place as Claire and Toby. It's very sad to say that for some of her mum's..... it's too late. Surrounding you with gentle hugs my dearest friend xxx

Claire didn't tell me she had made a blog or what she had written until it went live. It was so beautiful and such a brave thing for her to have done, and I think it has really helped her.

Claire has an approval button on the blog as she couldn't stand to read negative comments. She loved your message and has told me of every single one from my blog. Thank you Maureen.

  9. Hi Tina

Claire's words were so moving, and the pain she is in cuts through those words. I hope it helps her to recover from such an awful loss. She seems a strong lady (like her mum) and I hope for nothing but the best this world has to offer for her and Toby. Let us know if she posts again, if she needs support we'll give it to her and to you.

Come back to us in your own time Tina, we'll be here.

Little puppy paw hugs to Ellie from Billy, he's sound on my pillow pile on the sofa (cheeky sod) while I am about to put away my laptop. My dad is fitting the new RAM I brought for it so I've been doing back ups in case and moving files I'll need to my tablet. Had Alex cook my tea and walk Billy today as Andy is having badly needed respite by a lake, rod in hand, after his busy fortnight at work. So Billy is having Andy's bed tonight to keep me company!

Elaine, in case I don't get to Participate today I'm glad your son is in good spirits and has been given a huge chance to beat the cancer. Best wishes to you all x

Biggest of hugs to you and your family Tina and my best wishes to all too, T xxx

    1. Hi T

I really don't know where she found that strength to write those heartfelt words. I'll get my strength back when I see Claire getting stronger, that will be my medicine, and thank you for the support on her blog and on mine T it's so appreciated big time.X

You put me to shame using computers, doing back ups & moving files to a tablet. wow! Really pleased Andy is having a fishing break and that Alex is cooking dinner & looking after Billy boy, even though he is a lovely little sod nicking your pillow pile and Andy's side of the bed tonight, I just it's only the half of bed for your sake. I think that is one happy dog you have there.

I WILL send you picture of half pint soon and I loved the one's you sent of billy. You can tell he's loved very much. X

      Talk soon T

  13. Hi Tina.

What can I say? I read it all. So moving and so much pain at the same time. My hearts breaking reading it.

My dad is on borrowed time I guess so I'm trying to spend as much time as I have left with him. I wasn't sure if I'd let u know that he was diagnosed a few weeks ago with oesophageal cancer which has spread. and was worse by saying it was terminal.

But reading Claire's words made me think.
He's been in my life for 42 years and won't last forever as I somehow thought he would.
But I feel better knowing that I'll think of him of always being there as I'm part of him as he is part of me right?
I hope Claire feels a little better by writing as I know it'll never go away

Lots of love to u and ur family. Xxx

    2. Hi Tracy

I had no idea about your dad, I'm so sorry Tracy. With all that you have personally gone through this was a low blow for you to get.

I was 22 when my mum died, it was only 7 weeks before I got married, so she never saw me get married but she did see me in my dress at the shop. 2 years previous we went to a wedding show and she said I'd love to see married in that dress. So that was the dress she saw me in about 12 wks before the big day. She never saw my Claire & Craig either ( she would have loved them and would be as proud of them today as I am. She WAS there with me on my wedding day and when I need strength I ask her and somehow she helps. Like you say I'm part of my mum and she is part of me, just like your dad will be, Always.

Stay strong Tracy, sending you big gentle hugs Tina XX

I think you have my email address, but if not and you want to talk it's dfc2210@hotmail.co.uk. If I don't answer straight away, I will get back to you.

  14. Hi Tina,
Thank you for signposting me to Claire's blog. It is so heartfelt and beautifully written and I hope it helps her by writing it down. She is a remarkable young woman who is living through the most horrendously tragic time but please Lord, that she finds her way through this and back to some happiness. She, Toby and you will never forget little Evie and Anthea, but, in time, the memories will bring smiles to all your lips rather than tears to your eyes.
Take care of yourself Tina, you have a lot of people who care for you and your family.
    Pam
