Another Let It Snow

Good Tuesday morning to all,

I hope you all had a good weekend, putting the weather aside, it has been bad. My flowers have been battered and they submitted to the battering and have all fallen over. Short of mouth to mouth I'm just keeping my fingers crossed they pick up.

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages regarding my results, I'm just so lucky to have such a lovely group of ladies on my blog.

This weeks card is another white on white, but a really quick one. I found by folding the fibre paper in half, it really did help with the cutting time .  For next weeks card I will go out on a blaze of colour for my last Christmas card, or at least I think it will be the final Christmas card. Haven't heard what is on the cards  for next month yet! Watch this space it could be Christmas again in September YAY!

Also I would like to share some more good news CE have offered me another contract to stay on the design team. Which if they still want me I am going to accept. Yet another piece of good news for me.

Here goes my penultimate Christmas card ?

I know some of the pictures are the same but, I have taken them in different light exposure to show how much it varies from overhead lighting to spot light lighting. It's quite difficult to do white on white photographs. Anyway enough techy talk, I hope you like this one too. Have a fab week one and all!X

Products used:-

Sue Wilson- Festive Collection- Snowflake corner, border & tag die
Sue Wilson-         "               "     - Peeking snowflake, for the sentiment
Sue Wilson-         "               "     - Snowflakes
Sue Wilson-         "               "     - Holly sprays
Sue Wilson-         "               "     - Classic poinsettia open petals
Sue Wilson-         "               "     - Classic poinsettia
Couture Creations- Embossing folder- Swiss dots
Foundation- Coconut white card
Creative Expressions- Antique silver card
Creative Expressions- Snow fibre paper, for snowflakes and poinsettias
Creative Expressions- Glacier Ice.

First of all I did my usual matt and layer with the black silver and coconut white card , embossing the coconut white card with the Swiss dots EF . I then cut 2 borders and attached to either side of the card with dimensional tape.I cut several snowflakes and curved them for a more 3d effect and added them to the border. I then cut small snowflakes and covered them with the ice snow glitter and added them for the centre of all the snowflakes.  I Then put sticky pads on the smaller matt and layer for added dimension. I Cut poinsettia's out in 2 sizes with the classic poinsettia die and several layers of the open petal poinsettia dies all with the fibre paper and arranged each to make a poinsettia flower. I cut some holly sprays and cut them to make  them go further as foliage. Finally I cut the let it snow die and covered it with iced snow and attached to the card. Hope this makes sense, if not ask questions and I will reply to you.

Have a good week, same Time same Place next week. See you!!

Big Hugs

  2. Morning friend. Betcha need ya sun specs for this glorious stunner - WOW it really IS blingalicious, beautiful and bonny as they say up North.
Im delighted CE have asked you to continue on the team, it would be such a loss to them but as we all know, we'd still see the Tina cards we all love SO much, and to think that this time last year you were so unsure you had the talent to apply ! Glad you took the plunge lol. Well done Tina.
Hello again Patricia, dont let 'blog bullies' keep you away from the blogs you enjoy, dont let them win, they are just weak people with nothing better to do than play nasty then play victim, so enjoy the blogs and turn your head in the opposite direction !

Have a great day Tina : ) all is well, sock it to em gal lol.

      Awe Shucks Steph, Fanks!!

I heard about the CE contract on Saturday, they have only offered a contract for 6 months not a year, so maybe that will my time over with at CE, who knows?. It was with your help when applying for the DT position for putting me right on their interpretation of a summer card and the one I sent you to look at. One day if I'm not too embarrassed I'll post on my blog and cringe.

      Thanks again

      Big Hugs Steph

Tina how wonderful to have been asked on the design team again! Congratulations, you sooooooo deserve that and they should be glad to have such a talented ,artistic designer on board.
Sorry to hear about your flowers , has the weather been that bad on your side? Our temperature here has dropped to more acceptable one ,around 30 deg.now ,but we need rain!!! Please Tina send some over!
So follow the idea from Steph and bye a ticket?! But than do you still need a third one lucky??? You know what I mean?!

    1. Hi Jane

I love to see all the Christmas colours, but I think I'm with you and I really have enjoyed doing the white and sparkly cards the most. Like I said on Steph's message it's only for 6 months. I don't know if this a new thing they are doing or in 6 months it's the end of the road for me. They got so waterlogged. Some have perked up but don't hold out to much hope for most of them.

WOW 30 deg is still hot, that is still a temperature I could not cope with. Paul and I are still sitting on the loungers at night
( weather permitting ) we are in our sleeping bags, but the shooting stars are fab.

I'll think about the lottery ticket!
Hope you're not wearing yourself out Jane. look after yourself.

Well done CE for asking you to continue with them, they're not silly are they, can pick a talented person out of a crowd that's for sure. Congratulations Tina, not that it would make a difference with any of us people that follow you, you wouldn't get rid of us that easily. Out weather in West London has been much the same as yours, cloudy and damp, not had much of a summer have we, lets hope your flowers pick up again soon.

It would stand alone on my mantle as I wouldn't want anything else to take away the exquisiteness of it. I dod so admire your creativeness and all the inspiration you give us.....not forgetting the money you cost us Lol!!! I just need the border and corner die.
    Thank you so much Tina.

  13. Hi Tina

What a card! OMG it's beautiful- it'd make a lovely centre piece on the table for Christmas dinner. Soooo beautiful and I'm chuffed I have 2 of the dies. This must be (another)one of your best yet and I'm happy as in 2 weeks you've used 2 of my favourite festive 'fings' (sorry, couldn't resist the alliteration!) Snowflakes and poinsettia. Will be pinning this one too!

Glad Creative Expressions realised what a gem they have in you, your cards are great advertising for their products and there are not a lot of DT-ers who aren't professionals who get kept on either so a big, crafty well done! You totally deserve it!

Patricia, I just want to say I'm sorry that someone has upset you and you feel you need to avoid some of the blogs. I agree with Steph that they are sad people. There are enough of us "friendly faces" about so I hope you feel like you can go to where you want to and I notice when you've commented on the blogs I visit as I love to see familiar faces and names. Sending you hugs xxx

  14. Hi Tina,
Lovely card - I love white on white and sparkle on top is just the icing on the cake so to speak.
Congratulations Tina, on your contract renewal for Cre.Expr., it is certainly well deserved.

From the Cre.Expr. website I also gleaned that Sue Wilson has been nominated best designer of the year - let's hope she scoops the prize when voting opens later in September.

I just received the peeking snowflake dies (amongst other Sue W. ones), can't wait to get started with Xmas cards. However, want to get all the others out of the way first and go into XMAS PRODUCTION!

Your flowers will be ok, even if looking a bit sorry for themselves at the moment. It certainly wouldn't have affected their roots (presume we're talking perennials?).

    Have a great day,

Re the cyber bullying: as someone has already said the police will take strong action over this awful woman that cause so much hurt to others. She will get found out in the end, no matter how clever she might think she is. In fact the longer it goes on the better the case for the police as evidence is being compiled every time she leaves one of her nasty comments! What a sad life she must have. Sorry to talk about this but it makes me so angry and sad that she spoils such a lovely community of people.
To end on a happy note Thank you for sharing such a great card Tina and congratulations on getting on the DT again : ) Take care.

Thank you Myra what a lovely comment, I was surprised as I thought that CE only took people on for a year, so I was really chuffed. I don't know that Paul is as every time I get a message I say " Oh look what this lady has written " and he is now threatening to put double doors into my workroom just so I can get in and out ( Plonker ), or I think that's what I called him. He was happy too and said at least you're not out spending money on clothes. I'm whispering this bit, doesn't he realise how expensive crafting is, he'd be rich if I was only out buying clothes and not buying Sue's dies instead. Good job I deal with the finances, I'm not daft!!.
