FRIENDSHIP

Good Tuesday morning everyone

I hope you are all well and had a good weekend, I had a fantastic weekend. I met some lovely people at Ally Pally. I met Rose from Chester, Rose you have a wicked sense of humor, and it was so lovely spending the day with you even though I did keep elbowing your boobies, every time I turned around there they were. I'm so sorry about that but we did laugh about it. The other lovely lady I met was Tres. Tres, you are such a lovely gentle person and like me you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone maybe next time we meet we'll spend more time together, your Steve is lovely too, he made Me & Claire laugh about why he took longer getting your lunch from the car. ( I hope I haven't dropped you in it Steve ). I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye properly to Steve but he was on his phone at the time.

I met Sue Wilson too. I think maybe Rose had told her that she was meeting me,because when I walked up to meet Sue she looked up and said you must be Tina Eldridge, I was totally shocked, it threw me and could hardly talk. She is just as lovely as everyone says she is and the people on the till had nothing but high praise for her too. I met Tracey Laughton and Lucinda from CE towers. I saw Phil and Julia, but actually got to talk to Lisa Horton & John Lockwood, who is quite a comedian and has a really funny sense of humor.

I came away with lots of goodies and Claire went home with goodies too as a way of saying thank you for holding my hand as she knew how nervous I was. I'll put a couple of pictures after my card. There doesn't seem to be as much as I thought I'd spent, maybe Claire has some of mine in her bag.

On a totally different subject. Claire went to see her midwife today and she heard her babies heart beat. When she rang me she was so happy and bubbly, I had a few tears after I had finished speaking to her. Goodness what a lovely cherry on top of a lovely weekend. Aren't I lucky!

Regarding my card this week, I e-mailed Rose last week to say I'm sat looking at some aqua card but my mind has gone blank. I was getting so worked up about Ally Pally and I didn't make my card until late on Sunday, so I'm sorry it's not so flowery as I would have liked, I will try harder next week.

Here goes!

Hope you like even though it's not so flowery!

Have a good week everyone. See you same place same time next week.

Big Hugs

Tina XX

All I have to do now is decorate the last few items, and make up the pram template. When I do, if they are any good I will put them on my blog.

  1. Hi Tina,
I am so pleased you had a lovely time at Ally Pally. You met some lovely people as well. I would love to go to Ally Pally sometime and will maybe make an effort next time. It does mean travelling and an overnight stay though - maybe even two nights! It looks as if you got some lovely goodies as well. The MDF pieces look very nice and they look quite sturdy too. I saw the bauble pack and thought that was really good value. Everyone says Sue is lovely!
I look forward to seeing what you do with the MDF items. It makes a nice change, doesn't it.
Today's card is really pretty and I like the colours you have used very much . I love how you have used the bough dies. Your flowers are always something to aspire to. All in all another hit!!
So pleased all is going well with Claire's pregnancy. It's such a happy time for you all. I'm so pleased for you.
Thanks once again, Tina. Have a lovely week!

If ever you make it to Ally Pally I would really love to meet you.

I have never made over MDF pieces, that's more Claire's side of crafting, but I thought I'd give it a go. Hell why not! Thank you too for leaving me such a lovely comment. You have a good week too.

  2. Love today's card Tina. Still wow, even with it being made on Sunday. I am so glad you had a great time at AP meeting lovely people. Lots of goodies bought I see, look forward to seeing your MDF ones. Oh I bet Claire was on cloud nine hearing that little heart beat. And you just hearing her telling you about it all. Hazel x

  3. Hi Tina what a lovely card today (as all of yours are - truly inspirational), I would love to try something like this in our craft club, your mobile star one went down a storm with so many variations, thank you.

I was unable to get to Ally Pally this time but would loved to have met you in person (my boobs are so small they would not get in the way ha ha!!), you sound like you had a really wonderful time especially meeting all the CE crew. Do I recognise some goodies from AnnaMarie Designs, I get lots of my stuff from there too. Want to see all the things you make. Before I finish I would like to say congratulations to Claire on the happy event, I remember the first time I heard my babies heartbeats, sounded like horses running over cobbled stones, it is something that you never forget.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. It's very flattering for you make my cards at your craft club, really pleased they liked the star mobile. Thank you again. I would love to see some.

Maybe we can meet up next year, it would be lovely to meet you too. I hope Rose didn't mind saying about the booby accidents. I love Anna Marie products her cards are outstanding quality, and to boot she always sends a free gift. Bless her!

Apparently the baby's heart was beating at 133 beats per minute, and the midwife said it was very active. Oh heck another active Aquarian.

      You take care June

  4. Morning lovely.
You sound like you are still floating after your wonderful weekend. How lucky you are to get to AP especially after your CE disappointment a couple of weeks ago. Andy did say as we were still driving in the Southern region that he would 'drop me off' at the services then I could thumb a lift to London !!!!! Lol dam cheek lol he asked if 'you were given a list' you know what I mean ??!!!! : ) I must admit hon that I expected to see a whole lot more from your AP goody bags, bet that lot wasn't cheap ! I'd love to go, but don't think it will ever happen as it's such a jaunt from Lanc's I'd need a day to recover before even hitting the show and another after the show before heading home so the expense for me would be immense. I've not recovered from our drive back from Cornwall yet and it's already Tuesday and have so much to do for Sunday !!!
I'm thrilled to bits to hear all is well with Claire and baby, Lou and Craig had the same experience yesterday and all is well and strong (thank goodness we came back as two couples without an extra ) !!!
I know Sue would have been delighted to have met your after seeing all your amazing work week after week and this week is not different, it's just so beautiful Tina, you may have been panicking about design etc but if my brain ceases to work - as it does often, I wish I could come up with such an amazing end result as you do : )
Well I've rambled on far too much, sorry chick, but I'm so happy that life has turned around for you and you sound as happy as you should be.
    Hugs my friend.

    1. Hi Tina, It is lovely to hear you had a great time at the show.I would love to go there for the week-end as there is so much to see. I thought about the MDF goods and I fancy making some small hearts and bells to go on a Xmas tree to give as gifts for the children and grandchildren as they would be brought out and treasured every year. I think your card is beautiful ( how could it not be?) Hugs from Mary - Durham

    2. Hi Mary

I think a weekend is a good idea, Claire and I only went for the day and we didn't get to see a lot of demo's on all the stalls. I bought some MDF Christmas baubles last week. goodness knows when I will get around to decorate them. I think that's a lovely idea to do for your grandchildren, and thank you for your lovely comment too.

  5. Hi Tina,
Oh Tina no need for apologies over the lack of flowers as it hasn't affected your stunning creation at all... and I wish I could make such a stunning piece in such a short time. It definitely lacks nothing to me. Your lovely post has cheered me up no end and your happiness over Claire hearing the babies heartbeat just shines through. Life an be so wonderful at times and we can forget all the bad things and babies are one of those such miracles. Keep on blooming Claire as it sounds as if your Mum is blooming along with you.
So pleased you enjoyed AP and meeting up with some lovely ladies. My friend and I are planning to travel down for the next show in April
so fingers crossed all goes well and we make it and if I'm right you should be a grandmother by then.
    Take care lovely lady.

I'm looking forward to Birmingham NEC in November which is my twice yearly crafty fix - it's like being in a sweet shop, I' don't know where to look first.

Thank you Lorraine, I really do like a bit of sparkle. I did spend quite a bit at AP. It doesn't look like it in the pictures but Claire took home a load of goodies too. You're right it was like a sweet shop and wallet permitting I would have even more sweets. Unfortunately most of the stalls wanted cash only, so I had to stop. Hey Ho, there is always on line.

There are lovely ladies on my blog and I was lucky enough to meet 2 of them, and the CE crew too.

I think in future I should push myself to be a plonker as I would love to have met you too.

  12. Hi Tina,
your card is lovely as it is - any more would have been overload - your flowers are just FABULOUS! Mine don't look like that, EVER! But I suppose we all have our strengths and flowers ain't mine necessarily...........
I can recommend being a plonker, have never been frightened in my life to approach anyone. I mean, what's the worst they can say "Sorry, you are mistaken"....... so what??? Ain't gonna hurt me none.......... should that be a song??
I recognise a couple of your dies 'cos they're in my arsenal already. I am a bit frightened to add up the cost of Ally Pally (travel, accommodation PLUS purchases) but hey, it's been worth it and at least I'm so much richer for it in all the people I've met (you and yours being a big part of that, not forgetting Sue) and tips and products ...... just a blast it was.

Not rubbing it in but, it was a good day and lovely meeting Sue and the lovely ladies, Oh and John Lockwood!. I agree Julia and John made the audience laugh when they were swapping places to do their demo's. John was bent down behind Julia, she turned around and saw him and said " It's been years since a man ha been down there ". I think she forgot she had her microphone on, but it did make me laugh.

  21. Hi Tina. WOW !! This card is gorgeous Tina, absolutely exquisite !!! You have used one of my most favourite colours the foundations aqua card. Oooooh I love the glitter giving the sentiment some "Bling" and you have absolutely sold those Ornamental Corner Dies to me !! They look so versatile. They are beautiful to. I got a free stamp from Sue Wilson's stall to. I cannot figure out what it says. I will have to stamp it to read it !! Well I really do LOVE this card with the those two fab flowers on. As always your flower's are "top notch" Tina. I really think you are very talented when it comes to making flowers. I would never have guessed they were made from Sue's Peony dies. I bought both sets of Peony dies at the show and also the Peony stamp to. If mine end up looking half as lovely as yours I will be a very happy bunny. I have been after them for a long time. I see you have used the graceful lace trim. It looks fantastic hooked on to your frame. I went and got the Charming lace trim. I used it last night on a birthday card I am making for my sister for October. It is beautiful and now I wish I had bought the Graceful lace trim die as well. I may have to sneakily buy this one as it is pay day today. I think it is a lovely idea of yours to use the pine bough dies as this makes your flower's look so much more realistic. I love your beautiful butterflies in beautiful Aqua card !! Gorgeous to. I cannot believe you made this card on Sunday with so little time to spare !!! It is truly beautiful Tina !! Wonderful news with Claire. I bet you cannot wait to be a Nan / Gran. Take care Tina and Claire. Sending you lots of love from Tres x x x

  22. Hello Tina,
I being fashionably late with this post!!! Sorry, I've been AWOL for a little while, but I'm back now! Your card is stunning, as usual. An absolute vision of beauty,
I'm glad you enjoyed A.P. which is evident in your purchases. I did some of Anna Marie's MDF "Words" last Christmas as little surprise presents (keeping one for myself) and everyone loved them. I'll have to see if I can go to A.P. one of these days, it sounds fantastic.
How wonderful for your daughter. When mine was pregnant, later in her pregnancy I went with her to see the midwife and heard her baby's heartbeat. I dissolved into tears, what a wuss!!!! She asked me to be with her when the baby was born, along with her husband. They'd been married 11 years before she fell pregnant, so it was a mega honour for me. Although I wasn't sure if I wanted to be there to see her in pain, I wouldn't have missed it for the World. We were all in tears when her baby was delivered, her husband, me, the midwife, even the Doctor wiped his eyes, and my daughter - she just lay there with a big grin on her face!!!! It was wonderful.

You're not late, it's lovely to see you again. I hope you weren't AWOL due to being poorly, if it was I hope you are fighting fit again. Especially when you leave me such a lovely comment too. I really must kick myself into gear to get the MDF items decorated and on the blog. What a lovely gift to give, I didn't think of that. That makes me sound me me me!, I'm really not, I'll put it down to a blonde moment. I'm way to young to use the senior moment ( cough )!

How lucky were you to be at the birth of your grandchild was born, I was choked just reading about it and waiting for that special gift after 11yrs. I cried after Claire just telling me about the heart beat so I know I will be a wreck when the baby arrives. I have said to Claire that I will be at the hospital, but they are very strict and will only allow one person in the delivery room, but at least I can be there in case Toby needs a break and a coffee. I can just envisage the proud grin on your daughters face.
