Let Your Dreams Fly (take two)

Good Tuesday morning everyone

I hope you are all well and you all had a lovely weekend.

Paul & I have now built the Summerhouse, and while I was having a disaster with my card this week Paul was busy painting the Summerhouse. Paul is a bit slap dash with a paint brush and when I went into the garden to see how he was doing I took a sharp intake of breath as Paul had not covered the fish pond which is located in front of the Summerhouse and it had a film of stain floating on the top. When he turned around he too was covered in willow green stain, but I was more worried about my goldfish. I managed to skim the pond clean, and glad to report that no fish were harmed in his slap dash episode. Now my card, what a disaster! Craig & his girlfriend went to a wedding on Saturday,  I really loved having my Sonshine to stay overnight, and I dog sat Doug the dog, that's Hannah's dog.

I got up early to let Doug out to do his Dougie do's then fed him and let him in the garden for round 2. (Sorry if you are eating). Later in the morning Craig & Hannah rose from their slumber, and wanted a cooked breakfast. Hannah asked to see my card for my blog this week so I went and got it from my workroom and she very carefully laid it down on kitchen roll on the work surface. I then asked scrambled or fried eggs, Can you guess what happened yet? They said fried, so I fried the eggs and one decided to explode in the pan showering fat everywhere. The card was quite a way from the pan but it took a hit or 3.  I can only thank Sue W, so much for doing tiny butterfly dies, so hence more butterflies on my card than usual. I could have cried, so I hope you don't mind a fat splattered card this week. As Rose from Chester told me Sunday evening "NO CARDS IN THE KITCHEN". I certainly won't do that again. Right here we go, hope you like it.

Then splatter the card with fat from frying pan and then covered with baby butterflies. I promise next week I will be more professional.Well maybe!

Looking forward to meeting Rose & Tres at Ally Pally. Nervous though.

See you next Week

    1. Hi June

      Loving your new photo.

Thank you June, you leave me such beautiful comments. If I get such lovely comments like this I might just fat splatter ll my cards and see what I come up with, only joking. I wouldn't have minded too much had I finished gluing it all together and photographed it ready for the blog, but it was still work in progress. Hey Ho! I'll know not to do that again.

  6. Hi Tina!
Is it ok to say I laughed at your tales! I'm wearing a Tin Hat just in case you throw anything at me!
Your husband paints like mine! We have something else in common apart from card making! Lol! Glad no fish were harmed in the painting of the summerhouse! I think you are very clever to be able to put it up! If it had been us - it would have fallen down and the fish would have had concussion!!
To the card - sorry to ramble! It is lovely and no one would ever know there had been a mishap! Do you think I could have some butterflies at the ready to stick on my tops after egg frying!
I love these flowers they look so very professional and remind me of " Love in a Mist" flowers . I love how you have done the frame as well. The card looks 3D. I really love this one.
Thank you once again Tina .

I'm really pleased it made you laugh, no need for the tin hat,I'm not normally aggressive I just cry!, what a wimp, but I'll tell you Myra, when I saw the pond I thought he needed a suite of Armour, why didn't logic take over that the pond needed to be covered.

I love love in a mist flowers they are so pretty. Thank you so much for this lovely comment about my flowers Myra. Always keep a butterfly to hand they cover up a multitude of mistakes.

  7. Hi Tina

Think I might take my cards in the kitchen to be splattered if they turn out as lovely as this- with not a splatter in sight! It looks like it's supposed to with all those little butterflies (lol, must admit when I saw the butterfly striplet I did think how awesome it'd be to have all those little butterflies to cover up my frequent mishaps), they go beautifully with the sentiment and the whole card is just amazing. Another Tina masterpiece.

Glad your fish survived their ordeal. Did have a mental picture of a guy turning round and being so head to toe in the colour he was painting the summerhouse he became like a chameleon, blending in with the background!

That's me for today, hope everyone going to AP has a lovely time.

I'm so sorry, I thought I had replied to you but I had an odd number of messages on my blog so had to go back and check. I wouldn't have left you out for the world, sorry. After the comments today I'm thinking of leaving all my cards to be splattered with fat if I get such lovely comments.

I'm Really glad all my fish survived too, but when Paul turned around he didn't look quite so beautiful as a chameleon he looked more like the Hulk!

My 1st time at Ally Pally on Saturday, so hoping it will be a good day.

Lovely card, especially the butterflies LOL... No, honestly, they really look part of the design, those eggs might have done you a favour..
Those little butterflies come in so handy, don't they?
Looking forward to seeing you at Ally Pally. Once I've made the journey from Euston to Finchley, I'll be fine.

  9. Tina, oh Tina,
No one would have ever known about your mishap if you hadn't said! It's a beautiful, gorgeous card. Lovely, lovely, lovely.
George would have done exactly the same regarding the painting I despair at times. I can't tell you how many things and clothes he's ruined with paint splashes. He hasn't tried it on goldfish though!!!
I'm glad you've got the Summerhouse up, and hope your shoulder and other aches and pains are in the best of health now!!!

  11. Hi Tina,

I do love to read your life stories, makes us realise we're not the only ones with dramas going on in our lives :) Love todays card, the flowers are beautiful, so unusual, you come up with such good ideas. I notice you've used the large pierced squares, have just received mine, they are just so lovely, will certainly be using them loads. Sorry to hear about the mishap in the kitchen, though you'd never know looking at your card, its lovely, a very pretty colour. Well take care for the rest of the week, don't let him get to the paint pots any more this week - lol. Hugs Angela (UK) xx

    1. Hi Angela

sorry I'm so late replying. I have had big problems with my computer, and now know it had a lot to do with my cat Mo's paws and butt. I let her in my workroom and while doing something else she decided to walk then sit on my computer and did a lot of damage work wise.

Thank goodness all the painting is finished, I'll think twice about letting himloose with the paint brush by the pond again. Or do you think he did it so that he won't have to do it again, Hmmmm?

Thank you so much for your lovely comment Angela.

I'll tell you, Paul looked a sight. Luckily the cats are indoor cats, goodness knows what patchwork coats they would have ended up with. When I look back at it and the fish weren't harmed I could see the funny side. Glad you enjoyed it too. Also thank you for your lovely comment.

I have these Noble Dies but always need to collect more. Phil Martin's stamp looks lovely especially covered in glitter to. I love the colours you have used. Your flowers, as always are amazing !! They look so real. They are very pretty. As for you saying about the card having fat splattered on it, I honestly cannot tell, and I would never have known if you had not told us about it. I love these cute little butterflies. They are fab. You can never have enough butterflies of flowers I always say. I just can't wait until Saturday. Glad all your fish were ok in the end. 17. Hi Tina,
So sorry I'm late dear friend only I've been hit with a rather nasty chesty cold and it really knocked me for seven...left me feeling weak and just a bit sorry for myself as I seemed to have had one thing after another....fingers crossed have had my share for the rest of the year now...anyway on the mend now. Oh I shouldn't moan really as there are people worse off then me.
Anyway over to your stunning creation as always I love your beautiful style and not a dot of fat anywhere! You certainly saved the day with my favourite creature....the butterfly. Oh I have that stamp somewhere isn't it pretty? Your flowers look amazing and I love how you have put the added touch with an embossing tool.....just perfect! Hope you had a fabulous day at AP and bought some lovely crafty goodies back home with you. Although my crafty buddy and I live in Nth Wales we have been talking alot about how we would love to try AP's next show so we are planning train times etc and hopefully will get there next time..
Lots of hugs to you dear lady see you here on Tuesday.

I'm so sorry to hear you have been so poorly, my goodness you are having a tough time, so pleased you are on the mend now though, it does seem like you have had one thing after another. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too.

Thank you Sheila it took a few more butterflies than normal, but like you I don't think you can too many of them. It's a lovely comment about my card, a big thank you.

I had a wonderful time at Ally pally. I did buy lots of goodies but they weren't all for me. I sent Claire home with a few goodies too as she was so good to come and hold my hand as I think I have said I don't do crowds and especially going to meet people from my blog. It took until late afternoon for me to stop shaking. I'll post the picture of my goodies after my card on Tuesday.
really hope you feel better soon.

  18. Hi Tina. I'm so sorry but I had a fit of giggles when I read your write up of how you put the card together, it really did sound funny, but I know I would have turned the air navy blue if I'd had that happen oh Tina, thank goodness for butterflies and thanks goodness for Sue's flower dies too as you always turn them into the most realistic bouquet of beauty, one flower alone must take a good hour to get it looking so perfect how do you do it ?!!
Yet again you have made the most breath taking card. I don't have any of Phill's paper's or stamps apart from his milestone birthday and milestone anniversary stamps I have to start putting them on my list !! I won't mention your misshap to Andy, as I think I know his answer lol... and it will involve lists and AP lol you get the jist - right ??! : )
I hope you had a wonderful day at AP, I was thinking of your as we started the long long drive from Cornwall and I'm still trying to recover from it !!
Well hon, 2 appointments today, so better get my body working (I wish) as I'm sure I've been in the boxing ring with David Haye all night !!
So I send love n hugs to you dear friend and hope you have a good day.

  19. Tina, a very beautiful card, that if you had t mentioned about the mishap I would never have known. So glad you were able to get to Ally Pally this year. Patricia and I still would love to go, this year was out as we only arrived back off our week away in turkey. Just as well we hadn't thought about fitting it in as I came home with a right nasty dose of the cold. All better now. I am really enjoying retirement. Have picked .Beth up from school a coup,EB of days, she has taken me leaving badly. Any way glad the summerhouse is up, painted and looking
