NOEL

Good Tuesday Morning everyone.

I hope you are all well and managed to survive all the gales and lashings of rain, I think you had it really bad further up country, poor you! wouldn't it be lovely to see the sun for more than a few hours a week.

After the boiler man left on Monday I zipped over to the wholesalers to get some goodies for the week and while driving home thought I would drive through the forest and take some photo's of the animals that roam there. I parked up and watched 2 little dinky donkey's playing it was soooo cute. When they had finished playing they came over to the car so I thought I would catch their beautiful little faces with my camera, and at that moment I remembered I had used the camera yesterday to take the pictures of my card and had forgotten to put it back in my bag, so I thought no problem I'll use the phone, then realised I'd left that at home too. I panicked then because I had taken a different route home and there weren't any houses around and thought if I had broken down. YIKES! I know I would have been able to walk to find a house eventually,  but what scared me more was a herd of Aberdeen Angus cows with very big horns coming towards the car, and I would not have liked to walk through them, even though they've got beautiful faces they were Massive. What did we do before mobile phones, and how vulnerable you feel without them, or is that just me!

Take care everyone, more wind and rain on the way, batten down them there hatches. See you same time same place next week!

Big Hugs :-)

  1. Hi Tina,
Oh WOW this is another of those 'out of this world' card! I just love how you have used the blue and white....I know it's a cliche but I am really blown away with today's card.. You are such an excellent designer Tina. I don't think there are truly words to describe today's creation. Well done lovely lady.
You really did scare yourself the other day when travelling home.....I always remember Clive and I driving down a lonely lane before we were married and we parked up (it was dark) and we were looking at the trees all around us and saying what shapes they reminded us of until it got really frightening at one point ....well I've never seen him start the engine so quick, put it in reverse and drove back up that lane at grease lightening!! We never went back there again but often laughed about it in later years, Memories eh!!
Hugs to you and gentle ones for Claire keep warm and dry.

  6. Morning Tina,
Another WOW card again today, very pretty and love the colours.
Such a shame that you couldn't take some pictures but also a scary moment, gosh mobile phones what would we do without them. I can remember the days when you didn't even have a house phone and used to have to walk down the road to the payphone, do you remember press A or B - ha ha. Who would have thought that one day we'd all be walking around with phones in our handbags.

We had another meeting with the headmaster at the school, things are looking to be on the up. Thanks for your kind comments last week.

You have a good rest of the week.

Thank you, really glad you like the card this week.

I will take my camera with me next week, but I bet you there won't be any animals around. There were hundreds out because of the sunshine I think, but I'll give it a go, and yes sadly I do remember having to walk a 1/4 of a mile to a phone box. I remember seeing the A & B, but can't remember what they did.

I'm really pleased something seems to be working in your favour at school, unfortunately you have to keep on at them or they think you have given up. good luck Angela. Take care

  8. Hi Tina. WOW This card is fantastic. You just seem to have the flare to design some beautiful cards. The colours on today are stunning. Your snowflakes are little gems but your poinsettias are out of this world and because you put the leaves and twigs behind them it just finishes them off beautifully. This would have pride of place on my mantlepiece if i recieved a card like this at christmas. I know i shouldn't laugh about your dilemma but i could see you running through the fields with your arms waving in the air being chased by these massive cows lol sorry. But you must have given yourself a shock when you realised you had no phoned. Hope Clare is having some better days. Try not to get into any sticky situations this week lol. Take care Tina.
    Best Wishes.

I'll try not to Denise, promise! It's an awful feeling when you realise you have left your phone at home it made me feel quite vulnerable not being able to get help if it was needed. I'm sure I won't do that again in a hurry.

Claire is really coping quite well, she thinks it's down to the Osteopath. She's stopped taking the tablets again as she's worried for the baby. Thank you for thinking about her.

Wow, another triple WOW, Thank you.

Oh, I can't tell you how cute the little Dinky Donkey's were, I hope they will be somewhere local in the forest when I drive home again next week. It's silly really forgetting the phone, as I was pulling teeth about having one, now I miss it when I forget it. I'll tell you Lynda they were massive cow's with horns about a foot long, HUGE!

Claire is trying really hard to cope, and she thinks it's down to the Osteopath, so she has stopped taking her painkillers. Thank you for thinking of her.

  10. Hello Tina,
Beautiful card today once again! I love blue and white and I love that Snowflake border set! Your blue and white poinsettias are truly lovely. You are a talented lady and no mistake!
Since you are so talented I will forgive you for having a camera to photograph the little donkeys! I wouldn't like to come face to face with a herd of Aberdeen Angus either!! So pleased you got home safely. Yes, we do rely on our phones a lot nowadays and I hate if I forget mine.
Oh well back to the washing and drying - tumble dryer weather I'm afraid !

Thank you for your forgiveness too, and I will try my best to remember to take my camera with me next time, I just hope I can be in the right part of the forest to find the Little Donkey's again, and remember my phone to boot!

What an exciting life we lead with all the chores, NOT!, but it does make it more pleasurable when the sun shines though.

Thank you Myra, Claire is still in pain but is coping, she thinks it's down to the Osteopath so has stopped taking the pain killers again as she's scared to take them long time.

  11. Hello Tina,
Another stunning card today. I do feel safer having a 'phone with me, but only use it when absolutely necessary. It's really high tech. It makes and takes calls, and sends and receive texts. What else do I need? lol
I hope that Claire is not suffering so much pain.

Thank you, I'm pleased you liked my card this week too.

I'm with you about the phone. I was quite happy with my basic old one, it didn't even have a camera, but it did what I needed to make calls and receive them and to text. Then Paul bought me a supa dupa poopa scooper one and I find it hard to master, Hey ho like most things it time to learn, or it does with me.

Thank you for thinking of Claire, she is in pain but has stopped taking the painkillers too as she thinks the Osteopath is helping her.

Thank you Pat, I'm so pleased you have enjoyed the Christmas cards. I will do Christmas cards next year, but I don't think it will be with Creative Expressions as I was only offered a 6 month contract and that finishes in February by my reckoning, but I will still keep to Tuesday cards and I will be able to use all of my die arsenal. 13. Hi Tina,
lovely card today - only thing I would have done differently is not so many leaves on the poinsettia. But that's purely personal choice. How did you get the embossing folder lined up so perfectly on your mats? I'm pretty hopeless at that.
I don't think I would have walked through the cows, would have just waited until they'd gone away.
I must be one of the rare breeds who doesn't carry the mobile around, keep forgetting because I very rarely use it and don't want to be contacted when I'm out and about.

    1. Hi Rose

Thank you Rose, comment about foliage taken on board. The matching up of the folder. I do my first mat and layer and decide where in the folder I'd like to start and put a mark with pencil. Then I decide the size of my top mat and layer so if it's, say 1/2 an inch smaller I move it down by 1/2 an inch from the mark in the embossing folder. I hope that makes sense.

I know what you mean about the phone. I started to carry it regularly when Claire was poorly and now if I don't have it with me I tend to panic in case someone is trying to get hold of me. Don't change Rose you are lovely as you are, rare breeds are good!

What a lovely card, It is difficult to find something to say about your cards that has not already been said, They really are beautiful, and I am sure anyone would love to receive one. These are cards that you keep as special cards.
Glad to hear that you managed to get home safely, but if it was me I would have my phone with me but it would either have a flat battery or not be switched on.

  16. Hi chick. It maybe your last Christmas card for 2015 but you've certainly gone out with a bang that's for sure, like all your previous Christmas cards this is absolutely stunning Tina.
I can't wait to see what you make from your next delivery of goodies from CE towers, whatever they send you I just know the end result will be well worth waiting for. I really hope they keep you on, you are way up there with Sue and Debbie etc.
Isn't it frustrating when memories are lost due to forgetting our phone's ? But the most worrying thing is that if you needed help in a hurry you'd have been stumped !! Anyway all is well, and the cute donkeys will show themselves again that I'm sure of so I will also look forward to the day you manage to snap a photo or two.
I do hope Claire is coping with her pregnancy and that she is not getting too down with all her aches and pains, get the festivities out the way, and time will fly by, then there's the two hours of crying and screaming from colic to look forward to lol !!!!!
Well Tina, I will send my love and thank you for all the gorgeous Christmas cards you have delighted us with over the past month's.
    Hugs.

Bless you Steph, I'm glad you think I've gone out with a bang Thank you!

I received 4 of Sue's new dies for next months cards, regarding staying on that's up to them. I'm due to leave at the end of February, it will be sad to leave but there's nothing I can do about it. Thank you for the compliment about Sue & Debbie too!

I'm really going to have to remember my camera and phone in 14 weeks time aren't I. Excited or what!

Claire is trying hard with her pain and stubbornly won't give in to it. She didn't like the idea of taking pills long time, but she thinks the Osteopath is really helping. Don't go there with the colic bit, Claire had it for 4 months, talk about knackered, and that was just Claire, bless her.

Thank you again Steph, and hope my non Christmas cards measure up. Take care, talk soon boss
