Marie Curie

Hi My Friends

I joined in the Marie Curie paint a Daffodil yesterday. It was my 1st attempt at water colour painting. I was a bit heavy handed with the shading and have tried to lift some of it out and make it softer but I thought I would just have another attempt over the weekend and rather than follow the recording on the TV I think I will try and copy the  picture on the packaging after the instructions Matthew gave about blending. I'm not happy with the back ground either. I purchased 4 lots, so I have another 7 tries at getting it right. If anyone has any tips please feel free to help me.

Here Goes!

    1. Hi Mavis

I'm sorry I haven't been in contact lately, but hope to change that soon. So pleased Tracey is doing OK and long may it continue.

Hope you are keeping well Mavis, and enjoying your stamping & colouring. Paul bought me some stencils and stamps after watching Leoni let loose and I'm hooked. I'm just wanting to try something different but I have to say flowers are my favourite things to make.

I promise I will email you soon.

    3. Hi Lynda

Thank you, that's such a lovely thing to say about my painting, bless you.

We are fine, although Phoenix has yet another cold poor little man. I guess that's normal now that he is at the childminders now.

Taking a few days out next week to catch up on emails. Speak soon. Hope you & hubby are well too.

      Love & Hugs

  3. Oh bla bla bla. I agree with you, the background isn't quite right and oh my word the shading - what was your thinking ? What made you think you could paint ?

If I was to say what I really think you'd still say it's not good enough and why, because you're a perfectionist, I declined your kind offer cuz my attempt would look nothing like any flower I'm more than useless at painting, but I admire anyone that has that amazing gift, you have so be quiet with your moans and say " for my first attempt I'm quite pleased" there is nothing wrong with modesty when you've worked to own it and you have xxx

  4. Oooooooooh I've been told. Hi Boss, you made me laugh.

Paul put the painting in a frame and it's going to go on Evelyn's wall, as you know Daffodils are Evelyn's flowers. I've added another picture.

I'm pleased now it's in a frame but still need to have another go.

    Love ya boss
