A Special card for Paul's sister's Big Birthday

Hi My Friends

Hi everyone, I hope you are all keeping well?

Paul & I started the new year off with the flu type bug that is doing the rounds. New Years day evening after everyone had gone home after new years dinner, everything cleaned and packed away again we collapsed into our chairs saying what a wonderful Christmas & New Year we'd had. Paul had already been feeling unwell but not enough to put him off the celebrations or the food. About 11pm I said to Paul I had the pain at the back of the nose & throat, and he said you've got the lurgy! and that was it until mid week last week. The cough was horrendous, Thank god for Alway's dailies. Feeling so much better now.

Anyway onwards & upwards.

I started Les's birthday card, and I wasn't really happy with it. while making the roses I wasn't that happy with them or the coloring either but just couldn't motivate myself to start again. I thought it was too much of an embossed silver layer and not enough dimension, but when I put it all together I was happy enough to give it to Les for her 75th birthday. It looks better in real life than the photo's. I didn't realise until I had finished that I had made 7 roses & 5 butterflies. I hope she liked it.

I have a very busy month coming up in February with Craig, Paul, Claire & my sister's birthdays, and Claire I can't believe it is going to be 40. How the hell did that happen that my daughter is going to be 40!. I lost my mum when I was 22 so I just relish in the birthdays I can spend with my two wonderful grown ups, (Children), They'll always be my little children. Claire has asked for a piece of jewelry so I've left her to find a piece that she loves and we'll purchase it. I'd love to go jewelry shopping with her but can't walk that far, not a good memory for her to have but hope the piece she finds will hold a different special memory.

Soo, Two man cards to make, Hmm! Cog's turning but nothing happening yet. 1st one due for the 4th Feb so better get cracking, 2nd card for the11th, 40th card for the 16th and sisters card for the 18th, so really need to get into card making gear.

See you Soon! XX

  1. Morning Tina, oh my goodness you have both been through it, so pleased that you are OK now. We also had a nice Christmas, just the 2 of us as we were to frightened to go out, we have had all the jabs but I am still scared so we were at home, it was lovely.

The card is stunning, as all your cards are, she will love it.

Good luck with the mammoth card making xx

    1. Hi June

Really pleased you had a good Christmas albeit a quiet one. Everyone took LFT tests before coming over. I'm still not going out shopping, it has to be about 2yrs since I had been in a supermarket, I don't really mind though as I hate shopping of any sort. Well except crafty stuff but I do that on line anyway.

glad you liked Les's card. Thank you.
