IT'S CHRISTMAS AGAIN

Good Tuesday morning everyone

Firstly, I want to thank everyone that left a message about the tutorials. I'm really pleased you are liking them. I wouldn't mind seeing some flowers that you make. If you want to share with me, you can send a picture to dfc2210@hotmail.co.uk   I would love to see them. I will do the Sue Wilson Classic Rose as the next tutorial and will post it on Thursday.

My Niece & her fiance came over on Friday to come up with some ideas for their wedding invitations. I think they will look beautiful. She wants vintage/ rustic ones. I said I would do some samples and she can choose her favouite, then I have till mid January to make them.

Quick message for Denise & Steph. Is it the mobile you are having trouble with if so I have put a quick tutorial after the card, just how to make the mobile, not the whole card.

I think the blog for tomorrow is going to take a long time to do today (Monday), as I have to keep stopping for my old cat Summer, she is feeling very poorly today and has been sick numerous times, so after every clean up it's a walk in the garden to eat more grass. Good job it's not raining or I'll be the one out chewing the grass and feeding it to her. Summer, bless her can't walk too far but won't entertain one step outside when it has been raining. If we have had rain I have to carry Summer like a baby into the garden just so that she get's some fresh air, she purrs all the time you are holding her. Poor Summer is off again, be back soon.

Right I'm back!  I have just had a really funny experience with our postman.OOooooerrr missus. I saw Jym ( the postie )coming up the steps to the mail box, we both waved at each other, and then the gas struts on my stupid chair decided to leak and I slowly slid down. He literally stopped to watch me slide down behind my storage boxes, I must have looked like that character Chad looking over the brick wall. I saw Jym smile, but I couldn't move for laughing, of all the times for it to happen. It happened yesterday too just as I was about to stick a snowflake on the background die. I thought when it happened yesterday it was a one off, but I think maybe it's time to get a new chair, but this one is so comfortable, I fall asleep in it all the time and wake up stupid o'clock in the morning!  Poor Summer's off again. Be back soon. Lots of cuddles for Summer this afternoon me thinks.

Right I'm back, here goes with the card. No butterflies this week Sorry!

Mobile tutorial:-

You need these 2 dies to make the mobile

You need to cut them out 3 times.

Fold each one in half, embossed side inwards. you really don't have to score them they fold very easily.

On the deboss side place some glue along the edges and the dots.

Do the same to all 3 die cuts

You will end up with a 3 sided mobile

Cut the square edges off of the die, and decorate as much as you like. Just so long as there are equal flowers and leaves on each side.

Then use this die to cut the aperture out of your card. Just make sure that you cut the aperture straight as you mobile won't hang level. I hope this helps. If not I'm only a message away.

Hope this helps, if not let me know.

  2. Hi Tina. Firstley you have had me in stitches with the postie and your chair. I bet his face was a picture you couldnt get out your head lol. So sorry summer is not well. There is nothing worse than having a sick animal as they cant tell you whats wrong so all you can do is give them lots of love and cuddles. Your card is beautiful with more gorgeous flowers on. The tutotials are brilliant as i can follow them to the letter and i found out where i was going wrong with my flowers i just needed to cut its bottom off lol. Thanks for the information on doing the mobile it is a great help as i just couldnt understand where you were going with it. Its all about the pictures lol. Have a great week Tina and hoping Summer has a speedy recovery.
    Best Wishes.

    1. Hi Denise

Bless you, Thank you for your lovely comment and I will definitely be cuddling my little Summer lots tomorrow when I have more time to spend with her, although this afternoon she has been laying on her towel on my work table, and I had to slide her out of shot while doing the tutorial.

I still laugh when I think of my chair breakdown, it must have looked so funny from the posties view.

I'm really pleased the tutorial was of some help to you, and any time you don't understand what I have written, please ask, because when I read what I have written, even I don't understand either!. I agree it's all about the pictures, give me a book with pictures more than script anytime, and I'm happy.

You have a great week too Denise

  3. Morning Tina, another gorgeous card today, I love the way you put them together. Poor Summer you must be so worried, but having her near you on the towel whilst you are preparing the tutorial must be a comfort, hopefully she will be on the mend very soon....(PS summer I think you have the right idea about going out in the rain, you gets lots more cuddles that way - don't tell mummy I said this though - it's our secret hehe!!). Oh sorry Tina I was off on a tangent then..............I love the mobile tutorial and will definitely have a go at doing it, I so loved the snowflake one and we did it at our craft club, went down a storm, they loved it, all thanks to you.

You saying about your chair reminded me that mine broke 2 weeks ago in the same way, but was not salvageable so it was taken to the furniture storage in the sky.............I loved that chair, it was moulded just right..........have been using my wheelchair for now, keep looking for a replacement but as I am on the large size I need a heavyweight chair and wow they are so expensive, but I will get one when I can.

Well best get on now as hubby is cooking breakfast........he does look after me.

Thank you for the wonderful stories and tutorials, I so look forward to them on a Tuesday.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

    1. Hi June

I'm really glad you liked the card June, and for your lovely comment.

Summer is a bit better today. I cooked her some haddock fillets and she has been really verbal while I have been mashing it up for he today. She sounds like an alley cat on heat, but at least I know she is feeling better. I heard you June, not a secret between you and Summer anymore, so glad you are a softy like me when it comes to my furry family. Bless you.

Really pleased you liked the tutorial too.

The workroom chair is so important. I had one that never made me fee really comfortable in, but this one I love. So I hope Paul can fix it, fingers crossed. I really hope you get a chair too that moulds to you comfort for crafting.

How lucky you are to have a hubby to cook breakfast for you, Paul will do a breakfast on an odd weekend, but the kitchen is left in such a state, I feel it's too higher price to pay for a cook breakfast it takes me more time to clean up after him than it took to cook the meal.

      Big Hugs June

  6. Hi Tina,
Please, Please may I have just a wee bit of your brain? The ideas that you come up with week after week are just amazing and not two cards are ever the same. Today's as always is exquisitely beautiful! Although I can't get into Christmas this year as it will be my first without my lovely Clive, I still love seeing your wonderful Christmas designs.
I do hope Summer starts to get better very soon, what a grand age she is bless her. I'm more of a dog person myself but I don't like to see any of our 4 legged friends poorly.
The story about your chair gave me such a chuckle this morning and could just imagine in a sketch on a comedy show (Morecambe and Wise pop into my mind!) Haha! Although these days I suppose it would be Mrs. Brown!! Oh dear I'm chuckling even more now with the thought of Mrs. Brown and what she would get up to. Anyway hopefully Paul will be able to fix it....I'm sure you can get the gas spare parts for some of the chairs as my Uncle managed to get one for his. If not I hope you manage to find one that's a comfortable for you. Are you going up or down at the moment???Haha!
Take care dear lady and will watch out for your tutorial later on Thursday as it will be when I get back from the NEC....have had to ask my friend Carol to put a lock on my purse and only she knows the the number to release it! I'm just so terrible when I go to a craft show I just want every thing especially if it cuts out beautifully or glistens!!

I'm so please you like the Christmas card this week, but just remember you won't be on your own this Christmas. I know you won't have your lovely Clive, but you will have so many friends and family with you, and I for one will be here for you on your 1st Christmas.

Summer is a lot better today, and long may it continue.

I'm so pleased my chair made you laugh, when I think of it I still laugh. I must have looked such a plonker!

See you Thursday Sheila, Take care and enjoy your day at the NEC. I will love to hear what you bought. Just have another purse that your friend knows nothing about so your friend thinks she is helping you to be good and when her back is turned you are having a whale of a time. Enjoy! Sheila and buy lots that glistens & sparkles.

  7. Hi Tina,
Oh I am so sorry to hear about Summer, I do hope she's feeling a bit better by now. There is nothing more distressing than seeing our friends suffer and not being able to change that. But I know she'll have tons of love and comfort with you.
Lovely cards, will talk in more detail next week, not feeling too good (I blame it on the rubbish air in the airport/plane) as full of a cold from Saturday onwards and no time to just give in as lots of appointments this week.

Now your acting like me - grandma brain lol. I wasn't having any problems with any tutorial or instructions for your fab mobile card I just asked if you would do a write up lol. Tina, these girls of ours blame their pregnancy for not brain syndrome but I have to say mine has shrunk to half its size and it was only tiny to start with !!
I've been that tired I can't even find the words to express just how dam shattered I am.
Can anyone believe that with all the card we own and the dies AND blogs etc we visit we can't even come up with one single design !!! Well that's where I'm at right now which is why I just love visiting your blog. I only come into your's and Sue's blogs now, but just admire you both so much for how you come up with some amazing ideas and even some new designs were would never think of in a million years (such as those mobile card's ) how do you look at a striplet and think of putting them together to make something so clever ?? It beats me I have to say !!
Today's card is absolutely beautiful Tina. I bet the sparkle is just out of this world in real life as we say - now the predictive text is starting to annoy me now, having to keep deleting words I've not even typed lol ! So apologies to anyone that finds any abusive words that I could have missed ! When my mojo and interest in creating cards returns I shall put your mobile instructions to some good use, until then you inspiring lovely lady I will look forward and enjoy your Tuesday Treasures as I shall now call them, and hope that both dear little Summer and Claire are a little more comfortable than they have been. 11. Hi Tina

Wow, absolutely gorgeous Tina, would make a beautiful winter wedding card (cos it's THAT special) I adore it, my die wish list is now a little longer... oops! I echo what Steph says, yours and Sue's cards are just amazing, you both think of things no one else does.

Also, your tutorials are brilliant, you explain the process so well. I sometimes find some tutorials miss tiny bits of information, like the weight of card or something about shaping something- as it's obvious to them but not to us. Although I've not been able to follow one of yours yet I have read through and I know it'll turn out right as all the information is there.

I'm sorry Summer is poorly, I hope she's feeling better than when you put your post up. Your chair story was funny, I hope if it's one of those comfy, lived in, dent in the right place chairs it can be fixed. It's a drag to have to break in a new seat!

I hope those going to the NEC have a wonderful time.

Now I have to copy the text in case the browser is refusing to let me post so I don't have to write it out twice!

Hugs to you and the family... and one for Summer too,

  14. Hi Tina, Thank you for sharing your funny postmans story. It made my day. I have been going around with a smile on my face every time I thought about it ( AND THAT WAS A LOT) So funny ! I often think they could make a MRS. Bean film about the mess I get Into in the craft room. One day I was using the old knitting machine when I dropped something under the machine table. I bent down to pick it up and the back of my jumper caught in the needles.I was stuck and couldn't get up again until I took my jumper off - Have you ever tried taking your jumper off under a table when you have got the giggles and needles sticking everywhere ? Your card is beautiful and your instructions spot on. Thank you so much Tina. Mary -Durham
