Best Wishes

Good Tuesday Morning Everyone

Well this is Weird. I now have to make my card a week before it's due to go live on the blog, and if I don't do the write up at the same time as sending it to CE, I can't remember what I did that week

I'm in the process of doing my niece's Wedding Invites , and thought I would make her this wedding card at the same time for this weeks project, but I'm not to sure now whether to give her this one, I might have to rethink. The actual wedding invites are taking longer than I thought. These rustic invites are more involved than the pretty sparkly ones. Once Georgie has given the OK on the invites I'll show you them if you like.

Well, It's raining yet again, and the wind is blowing a hoolie, the fire is lit, the lights are on low, puss cats are snoring in all their own little places, the last of the Christmas fayre is on the table in front of us, saying eat me, and I'm thinking should I have another Quality Street, or are the scales going to shout at me when I step on them, ONE AT A TIME PLEASE... So I cracked some more nuts, and had an orange cream and a hazelnut caramel from the Quality Street tin, and thought I'll start my diet on Monday, which Monday I still have to decide. Anyone else with me on this, or am I sadly on my own.

OH Well! on that note, I can hear Slimming world calling (Shouting ) at me," step away from the tin missus" you've had enough!.

Anyway, have a good week everyone, and I hope the sun shines, Boy! do we need it! just for our vitamin D top up.

I hope you like this weeks card.

Hope you liked it!

As I drove home from the wholesaler today, I Just thought you might like to see some of the forest animals dealing with all this wet & wind. I wish I could knit  them warm scarfs & buy some wellies for them.

Made me feel cold paddling in the water

This animal was about 2ft from my opened window of the car even though the sun was shining. Bbrrrrr it was so cold.( poor cow )!

Look at this beautiful face , ( the one lying down ), although it does look like it's saying " who do you think you're looking at". It's BEAUTIFUL!

Just look at the sludge that they walk around in. These guy's had taken a more shallow path to the farm to feed. The little ones are so tiny, and look so sad when they look at you. If I had thigh high boots I would have gone and given that little one a cuddle.

Poor you, there's nothing worse than waking in the early hours, or if like me I only went to bed at 3.55am this morning and probably another early hour one tonight, working on the invites.

I started my diet today. I had a lovely porridge oats banana & caramel layered breakfast. Yum! and for lunch I had a Twirl., and it wasn't a quick spin in the lounge it was pure chocolate, even bigger yum! I'll start again tomorrow.

Glad you liked the card & pictures, hoping to have another drive through the forest next week. hopefully things won't look so soggy.

  3. Morning Tina, oh you do make me laugh with your opening comments, yes I am with you, every year I say I am not going to eat too much, well if you saw what I have put away in food without the treats over the Christmas and New Year you would be astounded, I know I am and we haven't even started on the chocolate sweets yet!!! I am sure our grandchildren will help us out with that one though. I have had a very bad knee since mid December and this has made it even more difficult for me to get around and those pounds keep attaching themselves to me......oh woooo is me.............

I am loving today's card ....well I love all of yours.........the filigree grace looks stunning around the pierced squares, I used this before on some of my Christmas cards as well as putting lace on them, it looks so effective, even if people don't have that actual die they can cut down other dies and use them instead.

Keep plugging away with those invites you will get there, looking forward to seeing them.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

    1. Hi June

I didn't eat too much of what I call the good food, but for some reason this year I've wanted chocolate, I think I am having cravings with Claire ( Yeah Right ) my excuse and I'm sticking with it.

I do sympathise with the knee problem, I have crumbling knee caps, and when I went to the doctors she told me to buy a bike to exercise them. So me & hubby bought some bikes and rode them everyday for weeks. I used to walk up our drive in agonies, my knees were so painful I gave the bike away. Now Paul says when I climb the stairs it sounds like I have a packet of Walkers tucked in my knickers as my knees crunch so much. He's all heart.

I hope yours heals soon June.

Really pleased you liked the card this week, and for leaving me a lovely message, hopefully you'll see the invites next week.

  5. Oh WOW, Oh WOW Tina your card is stunning. I am more than sure the couple would love to receive this. Yes invites are not easy. Making so many of the same gets to you in the end. I was lucky as Gillian helped put hers together, even Andrew was involved, we had him make up the boxes for them. Love your photos, yes poor animals have no where dry to lie. So many of our fields here are still totally flooded. Xxx

Oh Hazel it's the monotony of them, hopefully just the printing and job done! Georgie said she would help, but as they are a gift I wouldn't expect her to help. I've still got the boxes to do, but I cheated and bought them but still have to make them up.

I can't imagine what you have all been through further up country, but I really hope you get some rest-bite soon.

  10. Morning Tina. You really are a funny woman with all your mishaps and just life in general. I joined slimming world last year and lost two and a half stone then christmas came and i put half a stone back on so back to the classes i went last weekend as i need to lose that half a stone plus another stone before the end of march as that is when my son is getting married. I dont find it easy to lose the weight as with me having a bad back i find it hard to do any form of exercise but i just keep plodding on and hope for the best. So if you are anything like me just take each day as it comes and hopefully you will get there. Your pictures are great they just look so sorry for them selves and you cant blame them as they have no where to shelter from the winds and rain and that little one looks so wet and cold or is that me just been soft lol. Your card is beautiful. I love the look of the delicate frame for the focal element and your flowers and butterflies are always gorgeous. Hope you have a great week Tina and that the rest of your family are ok. Take care.

WOW 2 1/2 stone that is quite an achievement, well done you! I'm sure you'll lose that half a stone and more. When is your son getting married? I know any pain you are in slows down the weight loss, but you're going in the right direction. You can do it!.

The poor animals, they did look cold &sad, but Paul said when they huddle they give off so much heat, enough to keep themselves warm. That little one was sooo cute, but looked so sad, I'm sure it wasn't.

Thank you for leaving such a lovely message Denise, and you have a good week too.

What a beautiful card! Not that that is anything new!! I'm sure the couple will be thrilled with it!
I also bought the cinch and go flowers - got them with the £10 Birthday Giveaway from C&C ! They cost me £4 09. Last of the big spenders - that's me!
I think we all like a bargain.
I love your photos too. Poor animals it is so wet and miserable. We have got some rather fat squirrels around here! I think they've been eating more than sleeping!

  13. Hi Tina,
Beautiful, gorgeous card - I love it and so will the recipients.
It is miserable weather here, too and one thing is for certain - the zoo certainly won't be seeing me! Have been going a bit lately to get some exercise but one mustn't overdo it :-)
The animals have a thick coat, probably won't be feeling the cold as we do. That said, I'm always surprised that the animals don't have a shelter outdoors, they would in Germany.
Good to know that your pusscats are taking the sensible approach and snoozing.

It really is not weather to go strolling around Chester Zoo, I agree!

The animals were hanging around still trying to get the last rays of sunshine, and they had stopped off at a farm in the forest hoping for a nibble. This farmer throws food over his fence for the horses that also line up for food before they go deeper in the forest.

My Puss cats know where their bread is buttered, near the radiators! If Summer is not on my lap she has a box to sleep on that is raised to the height of the radiator and she just has to steps off to get her food & water. Spoilt or what! at 19 I'd want to be spoilt too.

Hope you are feeling better Rose

  14. Hi Tina

Again you surprise me! This one is quite clean and simple but then the detail in and around what looks like an aperture and the stunning rose and leaves jump out at you. Would be a perfect wedding card but also a style that'd suit other more serious occasions like religious milestones, engagement and others. The embossing dominating the front panel is very different to what most designers do- they'd have it as a background. Definitely a Tina card, definitely stunning. Will pin.

Saw a bit of blue sky today, it's been rough here too lately, very, very winry and Billy has not had too many dry walks. I've slept through most of it! Half asleep now but I didn't want to miss you.

I'm sorry Claire is still hurting. Im hoping that the pain improves asap. Niece's invites sound lovely, can't wait to see them.

    Love the wildlife photos!

I must go Tina, I'm struggling to keep my eyes open. Sorry it's so brief. Billy sends big snuggles and sloppy kisses. Hugs from me to all the family with some extra hugs for Claire xxx

  18. Hello Tina,
Oh, this card is just gorgeous and would make a stunning Wedding card, or any other Celebration, with the odd "tweak". (I sound like Tom Hanks in Sleepless in Seattle") ha ha
Love the photographs of the animals, poor things will have "Trench Foot" if they stand around too long in that mud. It is to be hoped that things dry up soon.
How is Claire, I hope her pains have lessened and she's getting some relief.
And Craig, I hope he is still enjoying his new home.
Now, as to chocolates. I have this awful condition where I can hear them shouting "eat me, eat me". It's the same with chocolate biscuits, and I'm so soft hearted that I just have to do what I'm told!!! lol My excuse for weighing more these days are the osteoporosis injections that I get because they do not strengthen the bone, the just put more and more bone growth around the existing bones - hence I weigh more and more as the years go on!!! (It's true). Of course the chocolate accounts for the spare tyre!!
Still, at my age, I'm not worrying - MUCH!

    1. Hi Maureen

      I LOVE THAT FILM.

Claire, is still in pain and has gone back on to the tablets that the doctor prescribed, only for a couple of days just to get some relief. Also she bought a back support that goes under her bump as well, and that has helped such a lot. I took a photo of her bump on Monday and our granddaughter looked really well supported.

i took Craig out on Saturday and we bought his lounge carpet, he now has his eye on a wall unit in Ikea. After that we said that's it now with the mortgage help and all the other items he had had the same amount as Claire had for her wedding.

I hear that same chant coming from the chocolate too, we must have bought them from the same shop, I'm beginning to look like Claire, but just not so young!

I'm Sorry Maureen that you are having to have those awful injections, life's such a s--t sometimes. Now, when people say to me keep your chin up ,I say, " what all 4 of them "

      Have a lovely week Maureen

Hmmmm I like this card, really pretty, I might have to pinch this idea if is ok with you :)
Sounds like CE are working your grey cells work much harder this year.
Good luck with the wedding invites, I did my husband's nieces wedding stationary last year, it became a mammoth task. It started with Day & evening invites, then ended up making RSVP's, present poem, venue maps, table names, menus, tags for the favours, Mr & Mrs banner and a wishing well - phew I spent hours on it all - good luck - I'd love to see them when you've done them please.
Lovely to see more pictures of the forest animals, they look so lovely, it must be nice to be surrounded by countryside.
Put the sweetie tin in the cupboard and bring them out again at Easter :)
Certainly agree with you about needing a bit of sunshine, it's been grey and horrible here for days now. Although thanks to you we get our weekly bit of sunshine every Tuesday :)
Hope you have a lovely rest of the week.

    1. Hi Tracy

How are you? how is the treatment going?

You pinch away Tracy, I'm flattered that you want to copy it, Thank you. You'll get that bum into gear when you're ready. I looked back on some of my cards I made for family & friend when I first started crafting. They are so bad, but they loved it because I had taken time to make them myself. I think they went in the bin after the event, but I know they they keep them now.

I used to love the snow when my children were young and under my roof, and I made the decisions whether to chance it out on the roads, but when they passed their driving tests, I think that is when my grey hair started to poke through & I aged every time they went out. I still worry about them even when the snow is not an excuse.

      Take Care Tracy X

      Big Hugs
