How amazingly fast the last 2 years gone. I can't believe Phoenix is 2 today. He has been so entertaining and to listen to his speech coming along mixed in with his baby babble has been hilarious. I wish we could press a button and keep him at this stage forever. He likes Harry Potter and when you show him Harry Potter items in the shops he shouts with a big smile " Arry ", he makes me laugh every time.
Claire Toby & Phoenix are going to Marwell Zoo today so we won't be seeing Phoenix on his birthday which I'm really sad about. Evelyn has a giraffe name after her at Marwell and Phoenix has a total fascination of giraffes so I'm sure he will have a lovely day. I will get to see him on Friday and then again on Sunday for a little birthday party
Since my last blog I have contacted my doctor again to be referred about my neck. It's not so much pain now but still difficult to hold my head up when emptying the dishwasher or loading the car after a wholesaler visit or just making a card. then it's an ache until I rest my neck and have some strong codeine. The doctor said he would refer me on a fast track appointment. I had my date through and it's for the 17th January 2020, how fast is that!! so we are in the process of going private.Anyway enough about the neck.
Andrea Jenkins, if you still look in please wish your hubby a " Happy Birthday " Too. We used some of the old work tops in my new room and your hubbies birthday scribble is still there. Hope you both enjoy the day.

Morning Tina, lovely to hear from you, sorry to hear that you are still having problems with your neck, I hope the drs. can find out what needs to be done to cure it, also unfortunately the waiting times for any appointments really are horrendous nowadays so I don't blame you for going private.

Wish you luck with your neck, so many of our friends have gone down the route as you, going privately to avoid the long wait for NHS appts, I could get very political here, but I wont! I'm so angry at the whole situation with my neck. I've done everything that the doctor said to do. I waited another 6/8 wks to rest on a cocktail of Codeine, Paracetamol & Ibuprofen to relax me enough to see if the nerves will release. I went back to ask him to refer me and he said he'd fast track me. He asked if I had private cover first though. I don't think January is a very fast track. I want it sorted by Christmas as I want to be able to play with Phoenix.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are still stuggling with you neck still , i was bragging mine was okay and now have flare up dr normal pain killers ect ,but rang help line rheumatology and booking me for injection seems they the only ones that understand what its like.have rhumatoid .
I hope you can get help very soon prehaps dr could get earlier appointment for you .

Really sorry you are having your neck pain again. It'd sod's law if you say you are feeling better you feel that you have jinxed it. Oooooh the injection sounds painful but I hope it gives you relief soon. I'm going private as doctor couldn't get an earlier appointment, so next Thursday or Friday I will have an MRI all depends on my doctor as he is on leave until the end of the week but the receptionist said she's put me down for the first phone appointment next Monday and get me the referral and Paul can get the time off. I've checked with the private practice and there are spaces for those days. So next week I will find out whats wrong and get help to cope.
