Chicky's Birthday card ( my sister )

Hi my Friends

Well here it is the last card for February. It's been full on, card making, cake making and special meals. Tomorrow is prawn curry for Chick & chicken curry for Paul. I've also got Vegetable spring rolls tempura prawns and poppadoms and Paul has asked for onions bhaji's as well, followed by home made fresh cream apple turnovers.

I'd like to say that I will be having a day of rest on Wednesday but I'm going to see Claire & Phoenix so I shall be popping the pain killers and rest on Thursday and maybe ask Paul to bring home a take away.

Chick's card is on the same colour pallet as Claire's, as I'd made more flowers than I could use on Claire's so decided not to waste them. I've change the background and layout, Chick liked Claire's card so much I thought I'd have another go at mixed media, hope you like it.

Here Goes!

Sorry about the lighting I can't seem to get it right in my new room.

That's it for February. Next card is for 3rd March for Evelyn. I always make a card and Claire loves that we remember her on her birthday.

See you soon

Love & Hugs

  3. Hiya beautiful friend. We've had lots of conversations about Chick so i really hope she appreciates the time and discomfort you've gone through to make her happy. Time to reverse the love and caring in my opinion. Card maker/keepsake maker and outstanding chef, throw in a MASSIVE heart what more can your family need they are so very lucky to have you in their lives as am I. The lady that took my card at market 3yrs ago and continues to order for her big family from me, her 18yr old son took his own life 2yrs ago if you remember me telling you all about it still adds Adams name to the cards she sends, and being a mum it breaks my heart to add his name to any cards I send personally but I can't and won't ever forget him, so to remember Evie as you do is just so special xxx

    1. Hi Boss

How is it you can reduce me to tears reading your message. Chick really liked the card and enjoyed her curry too, OH and ate her turnover in record time, there's a first!!.

I do remember our conversation about Adam. Such sad news, my god what on earth goes through their minds to end a very precious life. I think at that stage of desperation there are no rational thoughts for his parents and how they will have to live with their thoughts & memories. My heart goes out to them. You do right writing his name, he was here for 18 wonderful years. I know Evelyn never took a breath here with us but my goodness that little Angel has done so much to make people aware of latter stages of pregnancies and to never worry about asking questions if you are the slightest bit concerned. Especially the Step B test to have a week before birth, and the wonderful Aching Arms charity that she made hospitals aware that mum's dad's & siblings need to walk out of hospital holding something other than a box of clay hand & footprints. They are very important too but Claire had to walk by the wards looking at mum's with their babies and she walked out empty handed. It breaks my heart every time I think of it.

Claire is going to hold an Aching Arms tea party on the 5th April so it will be a very busy baking weekend. It's just another day that we can donate teddies in Evelyn's name to other baby loss mum's & dad's. You never know of all these devastating tragedies until you live them yourselves, we know we were totally ignorant. We have learned so much and met so many baby loss mum's & dad's and also met their new healthy babies too, so there is a light at the end of their very dark tunnel, and for us our light is our beautiful and absolute treasure called Phoenix.

Sorry that was a bit intense.

Talk soon my friend, hard luck!!

  4. Hi Tina, wow three amazing cards and I have to say that if they are not liked by their recipients I know a really good home for them!!, you are a really talented lady. I wish I could make flowers like that, is it a die?
You have had some really tough times lately, so I really hope that 2020 just gets better and better for you and your family.
