Final card for Feb

Hi friends

I hope you don't think I have cheated on you, well I have though! Sorry. I have been really busy since Thursday and didn't have time to make a new cards for my sister so I went to my trusty stack of cards and did an Eeny Meeny Miny Mo and this card was in the box I chose. I know Chicky hadn't seen it before, but I know many of you have, so I do apologise, I'll try harder next time, promise!. Chicky loved it!

Well it's a beautiful Spring like day here in this part of Wiltshire, I hope the sun is shining for you too, it does make a difference to how you feel in yourself seeing that yellow orb in a pretty blue sky. These day's have been quite rare her lately, so I'm making the most of it.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. I probably won't do another new post until next Thursday is done & dusted.

Thank you all again for all the fantastic support you give me in so many ways. Thank you so much X

Lots & love & hugs

Here Goes!

I really hope you'll forgive me doing a second showing of this card.

Claire's Birthday Card

Good Morning Friends

It's 1.00 am in the morning and still wide awake, that's only because I fell asleep in my workroom at about 11pm with half pint on my lap, so I still have a lot to do on Claire's card so I'd better get on with it. I really meant to finish Claire's card and go to bed early. When I woke I opened the door to the lounge,  the bedroom door was wide open and Half pint took a run for it, she loves going to bed. Who wouldn't when you get the biggest part of the bed even though you are knee high to a grass hopper,so I know that she is happy and tucked up in bed and I will get what is left between her and Paul when I eventually get some slumber.

This is the 1st really flowery card I have enjoyed making for a while, and I really hope Claire likes it. Claire, Half Pint & myself are going out for lunch to a pub that has a river running along side, and said we would have a little walk after lunch. It can't be a long walk as Half Pint's Little legs don't do long walks. Paul is going to try and make it in between work to have lunch with us which will be lovely if he can make it. I haven't told Claire so it will be a lovely surprise if he arrives some time through the meal.

Craig can't make lunch so he is going to go over to Claire's late afternoon to give her pressie's  and give  her little bro hugs.

Only My sister's card to go and that's Feb done & dusted. It took a bit longer to make Claire's card today as I didn't have any green card that would do for the leaves so I had to colour some card  with a stamping up ink pad and also coloured the ribbon with the same ink as the roses. I Really enjoyed seeing my workroom in an uproar for a good reason. I hope you like the card.

Went to my appointment on Monday. I have to have another Hysteroscopy, biopsy a smear and another coil plus another procedure that she said would be conclusive. She did ask how I would feel to have a Hysterectomy and I said I'll leave that up to you as you'll know if I need one or not. While making Claire's card today I had a call from the hospital, and I go in on Thursday next week.

See you all soon, and thank you for returning each time, I can't say how much it means to me.

Here goes!!

Well that's it folks, I'm off to bed it is now stupid o'clock and I need all the beauty sleep nature will allow, and to be at my best for my Claire Bear.

See you soon.

Love & massive Hugs

Paul's Birthday card

Hi my Friends

Thank you all for your lovely comments about my boy's card and the bed sit room. It is bigger than it looks on line. Paul has said if we fall out he'd be more than happy to move in there. (Don't tempt me), only joking, we've got more work to do this side of the house now!

Here is Paul's B'day card as promised. I really didn't know what to do, so looked out some old stamps and some fairly new embossing folders and just played. I even put glitter on the card and when I'd finished I thought what are you thinking about It's a man card. I hope I toned it down enough, only time will tell. Lets hope he will be in touch with his feminine side, but I think he knows me very well that I like a bit of sparkle and I think we all need that in our lives.

I have my six month check with the hospital on Monday. I'm a bit worried as things are still not right. I thought the coil was meant to sort things out, but mine has been worse every day, no let up. I will be glad when Monday is done and dusted and a decision is made.

We have the cutest little kitten that has decided to come around at stupid time of the day and night. He is so handsome. I take it he's a boy as for the first few day it came around with a sparkly pink collar, then a week later it came around with a sparkly black collar. We know he belongs to some one but it was out in the most coldest nights we have had. My sister is just as soft with animals as I am and because the kitten slept under the caravan. She opened the caravan door to turn the outside light off only to knock the kitty off the door step. She took it in and fed him, she didn't have the heart to put him out as it was so cold our fish pond had frozen over. He domes back everyday 4 times a day for food either from me or Chick. I know this kitty has a collar so he belongs to some one, and I don't encourage it to come around but it's very hard to turn him away when he is crying at your door. I know I wouldn't like it if some one did that to my kitty, but U wouldn't let my kitty out in such horrendous weather. Hey Ho, I'm sure it will all turn out right.

I have been working on Claire's card today for next Thursday, so no pressure. Then finally my sister's card 2 day's later. I have to say I have really enjoyed card making again and I really hope it carries on after the February's B'days.

Right Here Goes!!

OMG, what button have I pressed for the text to turn out like this, Hey Ho! I hope you like Paul's card.

Hope to see you all her for Claire's card. Thank you all again for still being here for us/me it really does mean so much.

Love & big hugs

What we've been up to this past month

Hello my friends

Long time no talk. We have been quite busy here this past month converting Claire's bedroom into a self contained bedsit for my sister. We hope to have it completely finished in a month or so. We have replaced a window and put in french doors and little kitchen with solid oak surface. We are doing a new shower room for me & Paul and we are putting a brand new bath/shower suite in the old bathroom for Chicky (my sister). When all the work is finished we will put up a stud wall in the inner hall, this will then give us our privacy back again as for the past year Chick has been living in our caravan and although it has a shower we thought it would be easier for her to shower and do laundry in the house. We also have her bird in the house so she has had to come across the house to clean & feed pansy. You are probably reading this and thinking I am heartless not letting my sister move into the house but, I like my house as it is and my sister has a way of rearranging things and can make things a little difficult. This new arrangement should be temporary and when she has some money behind her she will look for a place of her own. She wants to furnish the room herself so that she can take it with her when she leaves. I've put a few pictures up to show you the progress so far. So just waiting for the plumber to do his bit with the sink and the the bathrooms, get the carpet cleaned and then fingers crossed life can get back to some kind of normality. What ever that is!!

Also I have made Craig's B'day card. It's his birthday today 4th Feb but we are all celebrating it tomorrow (Sunday) 5th. He's asked for his favorite, Lasagne, with a side salad and cake. Claire & Toby are coming too, so it will be a lovely get together. I have another card to make for Paul for the 11th Feb, one for Claire for the 16th Feb and one for my sister Chicky on the 18th. If I get around to making them all I will post them here if you like. Here's Craig's anyway. Not 100% pleased with it, I am just brain dead for design at the moment, especially for man cards. When I had finished Craig's card I found the Burgundy layer that should have been added, WHOOPS, never mind there's always next year or for Paul's!!

Here Goes!

I hope he likes it. I know he'll like whats inside though.

Claire is getting very anxious as this is yet another 1st milestone for her with her birthday, then the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of March. We will be very reflective at this time and I dare say tears will be had by all of us. Claire & Toby have decided to go away for a break, as we all feel they need some time away and just spend some quality time together away from all the memories.

Thank you all for your comments on my last blog, and for checking to see I'm OK. I must get back into answering you all again. I promise I will this time.

Thank you all for being here for us as a family. Lots of love and mega big hugs to you all.

Happy New Year

To all my amazing friends here on my blog. You have walked with me this year on the most difficult path I have ever taken. You have shared my joys and my most intimate tears, and from my heart I don't think I could have got through this year without you all. I know we have never met and only conversed here on my blog or by phone & email, but all of you that have left messages of comfort, love & hugs when my family needed it the most, I Thank You so much. Thank You, are just two little words, but at this time they are the biggest words I can send each of you with the biggest of hugs to go with them.

We are all having New Years Eve on our own. I would love to have spent it with Claire, Toby & Craig but realise Claire & Toby need this time to let go of 2016 to be able to reflect and remember, it's so difficult as I just want to hug them all. It's so hard having to stand back sometimes.

I have been sorting out my workroom as it looks like a bomb has hit it over the Christmas, not because of making things but storing things, and I just want it gone! I did treat myself to a few of Sue's dies over Christmas in the sales. It is my intention to make some cards in 2017, and again Paul has said, " If you don't use it you'll lose it " ( Yeh right!! ). So I have to get my backside into gear in 2017.

So finally,      I think you are all amazing, and I would like to send each and everyone of you a heartfelt Thanks, Love, Health & Happiness for 2017, and maybe meet some of you this year at AP.

See you Soon

Just a little Christmas game, it won't take too long. It's called spot the dog. Paul found this on his phone the other day.

I remember this day very well. We couldn't find her in the house, we knew she hadn't gone far. We went outside and called her, unknown to us she had curled up in one of the chairs, when we called her this little head popped up from her snooze. Little minx!!

I took Half Pint over the forest the other day when we had that thing called sunshine. She was amazed at all the animals that were out that day. Here's just a few.

Mum had her nose right in the window.

This one I had to show you. I have never seen a sheep with such unusual markings. This one had 2 black ears, 2 black eyes, a black nose and black and white stripey legs. I did try to get a close up but it was a bit camera shy.

And finally, a Merry Christmas from Half Pint. XX

Merry Christmas everyone & and a Happy New Year.XX

Coooooo eeeeee, it's only me are you there

Hello my lovely patient friends

It's been a while, over a month in fact. I've been in a really sad place and couldn't find any way to talk here.

I had an absolutely fantastic day out with Claire & Evie Bear for an afternoon tea for my birthday, as you can tell from the photo's of the food and company ( I have to say we had tucked into the sandwiches before I thought I had better take some piccies ). Some children came in while we were eating  and commented about Evie Bear with big smiles. After we had eaten we had a walk around the hotel, the rooms we came across were stunning the photo's just don't do them justice. We then walked for a while in the beautiful gardens of Rhinefield House and said we would definitely go back with the family and walk all of the grounds, After an afternoon tea of course!

I have spoken to a couple of you on the phone and you have cheered me up no end, Thank you, and some of you have emailed me and sent doggy hugs too. It has meant so much to me and I can only say I'm sorry that I haven't replied, I wanted to but when I sat in front of the computer the last thing you needed to hear was how down & sad I was, as some of you have been going through tough times too.

To Angela, Hazel,Wheely bad (T), Steph, Jeanie, Lynn, Myra, Maureen, Clare, "P in Wales", Wendy, Tracy, Norah & June, A big Thank you for all of your messages on my candle lighting blog. Such lovely and thoughtful words XX.

I have to say to June I had no idea you have been in hospital to have a knee op. I really hope you are on the mend and that you will be running the London marathon soon (Sorry), Seriously, sending you hugs X.

Myra Thank you for returning and wishing me Happy birthday X

SuzzieQ. Beautiful poem, I showed Claire and she cried and said she was/ is here and still is in so many special ways. Thank you X

Jane, Thank you for my musical birthday message on my phone. It made me chuckle. X

Steph, A huge Thank you for my beautiful flowers, like I told you they made me cry. They were stunning and my favourite sunshine colours.XX

T. I will write to you & Billy soon. Hugs X

Here are some Pictures of my afternoon tea with Claire & Evie Bear. Another very special memory made to treasure.

Everywhere we go we write Evelyn's name on a stone, a forest walk out of flowers or twigs and most of all on beaches in the sand so Evelyn travels with all the family and friends on our holidays. So far she has been to many states in America the great wall of China, and many places in the UK. We take photo's and send them to Claire & Toby. They can't believe how much everyone loves them and thinks of Evelyn everyday.

I saw a stamp on Becca Feeken's blog and thought I need this one for Evelyn. It reads

I Will Write Peace
on Your Wings
and You Will Fly
All Over the World.

I also finished a card. I'm not too happy with it though. Paul has said for many days now that I need to get back into making cards, something that makes you happy or he will think of closing the workroom down. So, I started this card on Friday, couldn't be arsed on Saturday and was told to finish it on Sunday. If I'd stretched it out over 7 day's I could have made a song like Craig David. So this is all my mojo could muster, my mind is mush, but it's a start.

Cooo eeeee, still here. Sorry it's been a long blog. Pillows & duvets available if needed. Hope you liked the pictures and the card. XX

Thank you all again for your patience with me.

love & hugs Always
